Dr. Frank sees the light, don't you.

  • obewanspeaks obewanspeaks

She does see a very, very bright light!!

We should/will/must all bask in this bright light daily!

  • Dr. Erica Frank, MD says IMPORTED items are currently randomly checked and she feels that's good enough.

She probably won't feel that way when she or one of her relatives becomes ill because they got one of the untested ones.
(of course you'll never know or be able to prove it)

Seafood caught off of our shores is another issue.
    (west coast North America)

Salmon and tuna are the focus at this time.
(even though ALL sea food should be considered)

IMO – If it's been detected, then it IS A CONCERN.
When ingested, just one particle can make you sick.

The reason it has not been detected to a greater extent is that they (governments) are not testing or not posting results.

What about the risk of alarming the public unnecessarily?
    (asked by the interviewer)

What about allowing harm because the public was not properly informed?
    (asked by me)

You must remember two important things, nobody not even tepco knows the actual release and there is no definitive paper on the effects of radiation, very complicated and beyond mankinds understanding at this time.

      • IMO –

        1. They know far more about the actual releases than they will ever say. Lack of testing/data is no excuse!
(They = TEPCO, Japan and the 'other' governments)

        2. The Beir VII Report

        Simple Summary:
There is no evidence of a (magical) threshold below which no cellular damage occurs.

No amount of radiation 'contamination' is safe.

      • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

        1. There are many definitive studies on the effects of radiation. Go to the forum on effects of low dose radiation on It takes hours to list all the definitive studies.

The proven correct model for years already is a supra linear model. I.e., at low dose levels, radiation is even more lethal than a straight line model with no threshold. Nuclear scientists know the effects of radiation, most just lie about their knowledge because they love the money and power nuclear technology gives them.

        2. Everyone knows all the fuel spent and fresh fuel that is at Fukushima Daiichi. Plus the MOX and breeder rods and nuclear weapons and storied plutonium. It is Chernobyl times 50.

In Denver, the new background radiation since Fukushima is 9 TIMES what it was before Fukushima.

Tokyo won the Olympic bid so we're all screwed.
What ever information was due to be revealed is about to be swept under the mother of all rugs.

Being in Europe I expect to have another year or so of relative safety but if I lived anywhere downstream of Japan I'd be getting pretty uncomfortable right about now.

    AKIRA here we come…

  • ftlt

We hear about climate change too as background noise on the radio and TV..

But watching or listening to or reading most of the media, you would never guess it is a big issue..

It's all muscle cars, eco-tourism on big carbon fuel jets to exotic places and buy buy buy the latest resource eating gadget…

It will be the same with radiation

  • papacares papacares

for the most part the entire world is in denial – commercial fishermen claim they will catch, sell and eat fish even if they glow, be hanged they say if you think eating radioactive fish will hurt you, don't you know they radiate lettuce to kill salmonella so what's the problem, fuku is just saving us a step in the process!
friends this is all about greed, the monkeys have their hand in the jar firmly grasping that shiny object and be damned if they will ever let go, no matter the grim reaper approaches this link sums it all up

There is no guarantee that any of us will last that long. The release has continually raised since the event, partially because of the concentrating affect that I described here shortly after 3/11/11. Good luck all. It could have been different, but the greed-blood-money people didn't want it any other way. They could not fathom an alternative vision that would have embraced life and a sound future for all.

    • We Not They Finally

What point greed if it kills us all including the greediest of us?What a senseless idiotic horror show.

      • Sol Man

All people of common sense and Principle can only agree with you.
Unfortunately, with this, everybody is included.

  • TheBigPicture TheBigPicture

Meltdowns contaminated Northern Hemisphere and continuing. Radiation impairs the immune system and causes cancers. There's no safe level, one speck can kill.

  • StPaulScout StPaulScout

The Japanese Government couldn't care less about it's own people. Think of what low regard they have for YOU. Humans don't deserve the earth. One can only imagine what a true paradise this planet would be if not for man.
