Title: TEPCO reports another rat problem, this time at Fukushima No. 2 plant
Source: THE ASAHI SHIMBUN
Date: July 04, 2013

A rat caused a battery charger to break down in an emergency gas turbine generator vehicle at the Fukushima No. 2 nuclear plant, the latest rodent-related problem to hit Tokyo Electric Power Co.

The rat is believed to have entered the vehicle through a 3- to 4-centimeter opening for cables and then shorted a switchboard, a TEPCO official said July 3. […]

The gas turbine generator vehicle was deployed for emergency use at the No. 2 plant after the Great East Japan Earthquake […]

  • Hilarious, thinking of TEPCO and rats, one in the same….

    • Jay

Hindsight 20/20 : no need for nuclear weapons , just drop Rats !

Once they take over we can train them on what buttons to push and replace TEPCO completely , just keep the names , like Abe …

These aren't just ordinary rats, they're U.S. military special forces genetically enhanced and cloned rats.

They were developed by Israeli intell in cooperation with the CIA and China's best and brightest bioethicists and they cost the taxpayers a whopping 2 bil each.

They are immune to radiation and if everything goes according to the global elite's plan, these rats are smart enough to work the register at McDonalds so they can further depopulate the useless humans. LOL

  • We Not They Finally

O.k. The rat did not ENTER Fukushima reactor 2, because even a hardy over-sized rat would be quickly fried. Unless they are talking about a DEAD rat. (Probably.) But these criminals keep blaming their own genocide of their own people on RATS??

And NOW what do they do? Bow and apologize for the unruly RAT? We're so sorry that HE did it?

    It's beyond criminally insane.

    • dosdos dosdos

They are referring to Fukushima Daini, not Fukushima Daiichi #2.

      • We Not They Finally

The article does not SAY that, and the nice shiny photo is called "a file photo," not a current photo. You have no reason to even think that. And if it is Daiini, then why the first time they even SAY anything? Besides, it's bad WHEREVER it happened. RATS control the circuitry of a nuclear plant?

        Like, what is your point?

        • Cataclysmic Cataclysmic

From the article.. "The No. 2 plant is located just south of the company’s crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant." When the Japanese media refers to the No. 2 plant, they are typically talking about Daini.

          • We Not They Finally

Didn't know that. The RATS probably didn't either — equal opportunity rats. They'll go chew through the circuitry in nuclear power plants anywhere.

On the other hand, if Daiini also is in such bad shape that rats can chew through the circuitry, then WHAT ELSE haven't we been told about that plant?

I see TEPCO management are STILL chewing on the equipment, it must be something in the water, like, I don't know… RADIATION!!!

  • wideawake wideawake

No way ..A rogue rat.. Not having that!…. it was the dodgy floor polisher's turn…(grin)

  • combomelt combomelt

3-4cm + cables and a rat crawled through. Yah right. LIARS

  • patb2009

How many rats does it take to destroy a nuclear reactor?
How many are on the Board at Tepco?

  • Flapdoodle Flapdoodle

That's just like TEPCO to place the blame on their betters.

  • AB AB

    Here's a new one for y'all

TEPCO= Total Extermination of People and Children on the Orb
    Get it? T.E.P.C.O.

This is actually a formula for the response to epidemic/disaster caused by human incompetence/bad industrial practice/cost cutting. Someone has even written a PhD thesis on it and I found it on the net some years ago and sorry to say didn't book mark it. The general context though, is that a government and or through them an industry's first repines to a crisis is to blame something that can not fight back, TB = badgers, Bird flu = wild birds, ad nauseum. An additional bonus occurs if one can kill the scapegoat with a minimum outcry thus and without needing, having or producing the slightest shred of evidence. So in this case, is it more likely that the rat was radiated rather than the other way round? We allowed industries to be created purely for profit without the slightest ability or responsibility to cope with the ensuing waste and whether its effluent and disease from overflowing industrial battery farms or toxic radioactive waste from overflowing fuel pools, blaming it on wild ducks is, as the French say, is just canard.

    • oyamajin

They seem to always blame problems on gaijin. Lots of scapegoating and judas goats for the defenseless foreigners. Best to just be a "flyjin" and split, especially with the sedition laws.

  • Heart of the Rose Heart of the Rose

Gee…perhaps set ot poison..set traps..pass some sort of National Security decree…let those damn rats know that by cripe..they are terrorists.

And to that end..no don't kill them..offer them indefinite detention and source feeding.

    • oyamajin

Maybe they could toss a bunch of dead rats around just to send a message to the others. Plenty of rats in Japan to harvest.

  • Heart of the Rose Heart of the Rose

    typo..force feeding…

  • Heart of the Rose Heart of the Rose

Heck..on a certain level we are all dying rats at the hand of TPTB.

  • Heart of the Rose Heart of the Rose

Yaya..let's be clear..we treat vermin better than we treat fellow humans.

"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse."— Walt Disney.
The Japanese word for mouse and rat is the same word (nezumi).
So tragic to think that it might all end by a mouse.
I am not going to Disney Land in Chiba-ken any time soon.

oyamajin: Tragic is the appropriate word.Yes this hold drama reminds me of the tragedies of Shakespeare especially Hamlet. We had one last chance with JFK but that was taken away by a Cabal of "World leaders."The threat of losing Oil Gas and nuclear to be replaced by advanced technologies that came from the stars. Now we are in a time that has been called by religious people Revelations…Watch as it unfolds….

  • We Not They Finally

ok enough of Rats already..Enough of TEPCO enough of Japan Enough of the 1%.Enough of Greed that transcends all understanding…Enough of the coming death of our Oceans enough of the end of life on this dying planet…It all ends up in the deadly combination of infinite greed and infinite stupidity.. In the end how stupid is a group of people who kill not just the others but their own families?????And these idiots anihilate themselves….
