Temperature at No.3 reactor rises, NHK, June 22, 2011:
The operator of the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant says temperatures at the No.3 reactor have started to rise after it reduced the injection rate of cooling water [...] by 1 ton [...]
TEPCO says that by 5 AM on Wednesday, temperatures at the upper and lower parts of the No.3 reactor had risen by 4 and 7 degrees Celsius, respectively, from the day before. [...]

Great info thanks TacomaGroove. Very interesting about GE’s ownership too. Obviously the media is closely held, and so very easily controlled. One further little known point though:
- Regards MSNBC – USAID got caught out sponsoring a UNFPA program of forced sterilization and abortion of poor women in Peru and China. As a result the US congress cut USAID funding by that amount, forcing it to stop. At that point the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation picked up the funding for the UNFPA allowing the forced sterilization program to continue in China. After a change in government Peru sent victims to testify before congress. So Microsoft is no stranger to population reduction, their founder funds that. Of course the Nuke industry reduces the birth rate with every radiation release.
Media mogul Ted Turner is famous for his views on population reduction.

The Peruvian “Birth Control Program” sterilised at least 314,000 women – primarily poor, illiterate, or from remote areas, against their will and/or without their knowledge, often with the consent, enforced under threat of prison, of their husbands; several lost their lives in consequence. The selection of candidates amounted to attempted genocide and medical staff were given quotas to fill.
Attempts to reopen this to full public view were important in the recent Presidential Election here and in the defeat of Keiko Fujimori’s ambitions.
Keiko is the daughter of jailed disgraced ex president of Peru Alberto Fujimori. The latter made the sterilisation campaign his personal business in the years from 1993 to 1997.

The Centralized Waste Treatment Facility is burning…and the flashing is a window…do you think the view is through a window on a surviving wall of the Commom Spent Fuel pool..or a wall of the Waste Facility?

From now on, Fukushima will become the world number 1 name [when it comes to radiation/nuclear incident]. A crisis is an opportunity. This is the biggest opportunity. Hey, Fukushima, you’ve become famous without any efforts! [a chuckle from the audience] Why
not take advantage of this opportunity? For what? Recovery.
First off, my sincere condolences for people who died in the earthquake and tsunami. We need to deal with the loss, and to recover from this nuclear disaster. I don’t know how it [the nuke accident] will affect the nuclear energy policy of the national government, as the nuclear energy is the core of the national energy policy. But I can tell you this; the health effects are minimal. The only thing we need to keep an eye on is the amount of exposure of plant workers who are working with a do-or-die resolution. But we don’t have to worry about the health effects of ordinary people.
And yet you are worried. Worried about whom? Women, pregnant women, and infants. We are responsible for the future generation. So, every radiation protection safety limit is based on the amount allowable for babies. Administering potassium iodide, deciding on the evacuation, they are all based on protecting children. Adults over 20 years old have very little sensitivity to radiation. Almost zero. That’s the first thing you have to remember. Still, adults are the ones who worry the most. This is wrong. Especially wrong if you are male. You smoke and drink, and worry about radiation? Men don’t have to worry. All we need to do is protect women, children, pregnant women and infants. If the situation deteriorates, pregnant women and children should escape. Men should stay put and fight for recovery. You [as Fukushima residents] are the descendants of people who produced the proud Byakko-Tai. You should have such a resolution.
To tell you the truth, radiation doesn’t affect people who are smiling, but those who are worried. This has clearly been demonstrated by animal studies. So, drinking may be bad for your health, but happy drinkers are less affected by radiation, luckily. I’m not advising you to drink, but laughter will remove your radiation-phobia. But there’s precious little information to scientifically explain the effects of laughter. So, please ask all your questions. This is not a lecture, it’s a dialog between you and I. ”

Seriously, how can you tell which animal is worrying? And how can you tell what is or isn’t a rabbit smiling? This jackass has a medical degree? Oh, and can we please have a source for that ‘happy drinkers are less affected’ – now was that an unauthorized experiment on humans or did they just get the dogs drunk?

I find it difficult in the extreme to make any mental connection with honourable gentleman doctor’s disingenuousness and illogicality.
Desperately trying to make some sense of this I can only come up with the concept that in honourable Japanese world what rises to the top is not cream but scum.
