Poor estimates force timetable revision, Yomiuri, May 18, 2011:

[...] In the turbine building of the No. 6 reactor, for example, contaminated groundwater has seeped in and accumulated to a depth of up to 2 meters. If water flows into a reactor building, the emergency power system to cool the reactor may stop operating. [...]

This is equivalent to the death kneel is either #5 or #6 goes. Hope is quickly going out the door. Faith and prayers are growing as the only way to stop this nightmare of coming misery.

Real bad. There’s no excuse for them not to call in the world now.

Japan: don’t be embarrassed–We KNOW how good you are. We’ve been driving and praising your cars for years!!! There is NOTHING to be ashamed of in seeking international aid during an emergency of this magnitude–in fact, it would be the prudent thing to do!!!

…I’m not sure who’s operating more in a closed information bubble to their pronounced disadvantage- Japan & TEPCO or those downwind who are trying deal with it?… At least Japan/TEPCO can open those channels at will–it would be priceless to them with no regrets!

If this is true, we now have nuclear plant with 6 reactors soon out of control with world public watching their local TV “dance with the celebrity”.

  • I warned everyone, including the iaea and tepco to cover these reactors… This is the worst news, that I expected to hear… All the while I told tepco to create emergency outside containment’s, and cooling systems. This is now a global threat…

I thought I heard one expert suggest that the flooding in the basements of #5 & #6 was from contaminated ground water flooding up into the basement, rather than from some leak…

Good point, but it is obvious that water is highly irradiated as it has come from the flooding of melting cores in #1, #2 and #3. Which suggests doing anything in #5 and #6 buildings now must be some risky misssion prove me wrong.

And moreover, because of the distance from the two groups of reactors, it shows how SATURATED that old backfilled bog is now.
        I love this:

“If water flows into a reactor building, the emergency power system to cool the reactor may stop operating…”

IF? When they first mentioned this problem weeks back, they said radioactive water was already in the reactor buildings and turbine buildings. This only mentions the turbine building. Even if they’d had an extra pump, where would they have put it? So to decode the quote above, it actually means, “Water is over our heads in the reactor’s basement…”

I sincerely hope Japan Authorities are continuing to test the Prefectures drinking water , as there’s no telling how far this may have spread. Hey, It’s already in the sewage, it must be anywhere water goes. They simply must step up testing, for all the types ao radioactive particles.

If we have Plutonium , Strontium, and Americadum, or whachacall it here in Hawaii, it must be very bad there..

Obviously, all the work done there is risky at this point. Why can’t they pump the excess water out of reactor basements 5 & 6? It seem to me it’s like they’re admitting that #5 & 6 are already out of control. They are always slow in doling out the news by days or weeks. It’s so frustrating to read about all the ineffective measures taken so far. It’s ridiculous or pathetic or both.

Can’t (you) Americans figure out something? What happened to American know how and leadership? Sad.

            “…busy teaching creationism….”
Let’s have a little Upgrade in understanding, Aptos
(I love good ol’ Santa Cruz by the way).
Look at the stratigraphic record, Aptos.
The Lord tells us it is the glory of Kings to seek into
a mystery. Did you ever Appreciate Geology?
It is obvious that this Terran Planet has been used
experimentally, built-up, grown civilizations, buried them
again, re melted and plowed under tectonically,
            Many many many TIMES!
            HalleluYah!
And WE can’t yet DEFEAT SIN and rise to Godly Perfection,
because we are learning and tripping and falling and getting back up, and Going forward.
So, Aptos, please, don’t you be participating in
“Changing History”. Everything decent and Good in your
Life is because of Jesus Christ, and you are causing
pain to your dear Grandmother with your wannabe-clever

There’s a lot to read, and huggies from your fellows.

You will notice that there are holes drilled in the reactors roofs… This is an indication that hydrogen was present early on inside the building.

So they drilled a hole to vent them… Ok

      Hydrogen comes from melting fuel.

melted fuel =’s core to the floor =’s water down below…

No worries tepco will soon admit these reactors are also threats to your health… I assume with no investors / stock to support their company… things will start leaking out more and more…

  • the one thing that seems repetitive from day #1: an infuriating lag-time releasing facts.

do i take this (or most any other report) to mean it is going on currently, or already happened by a factor of days past, weeks, what?

please, i’m terribly grateful for ALL the info guys, i really am, it’s a very huge help! i don’t think i’ll ever be able to adequately thank each and every one of our contributors. it’s just.. by the time we all find out anything from TEPCO or whichever agency is releasing the news, you know?

sorry, i’m just so very disgusted by it all, as i’m certain everyone else is. but it makes me remember my kidhood: the only way i ever won at dodge-ball was knowing when to dodge.
