Looks like the dock workers in Australia had good reason to be concerned when unloading cars from Japan!

p.s. I researched Toyota parts…all are made in USA, except for Prius and Yaris–inconveniently, just 2 of the best cars in the world for reliability, value, low maintenance, low emissions, and great fuel efficiency, especially in this economy!… I guess stock up on whatever is here now & check certified titles for used vehicles.

Most Honda radios are made by Alpine. Alpine’s main factory is 25 miles south of Fukushima Daiichi, located inside the Fukushima prefecture.
Alpine supplies to several other auto manufacturers as well, but their main customer is Honda.
Most Sharp TVs are manufactured about 75 miles southwest of Fukushima Daiichi, as well as other products made by Sharp.

ok — 17 microsieverts = 0.017 millisieverts — “The worldwide average background dose for a human being is about 2.4 milli sievert (mSv) per year” says wikipedia.

The reading was for one hour so multiply that also. So John, it’s worse than 6.205 mSV/ year. Times 24 hours is just around 149 mSV that Trader Greg noted. Granted one isn’t inside of their car continuously but several times background for those who use their cars a lot..
This is just the start because a lot of other products are going to be showing higher levels also. Still want to buy a Sharp TV really cheap?

Russia rejects shipment, this is good that they rejected radiation things from Japan.
I wonder how long this will last, before corporations demand products from there?
I’m afraid that Governments will cave and allow these products in.
They just might eventually change the amount of radiation that is acceptable.
We’ll probably be glowing anyway, what’s a few more rad’s. Ugh..
Even US products are sometimes made with Japan’s component pieces. How would we know where the pieces come from?
Since they are finding radiation in shipments, then shipments should be stopped.

I Googled ‘Chernobyl cancer million’…
Apparently, Greenpeace estimated 6 million eventual deaths from cancer caused by the blowout there.
(I had heard on a Link TV documentary the statement of “almost a million”)
What’s the actual number? I don’t know. But to paraphrase an old quote:
“a million here, a million there… pretty soon we’re talking real death.”
And Fukushima is now known to be far worse than Chernobyl, right?
Didn’t some gang kill six million people just a few decades ago?
If I recall correctly, they hunted them down and put them on trial.
My mind is having a hard time comprehending how identifiable political/nuclear policy makers are going to really just skate away from all of this Fuku nightmare…

from my understanding there are three reports one by the iaea which i believe to be humbug! one by greenpeace 2006 i believe and a 2011 report by russian scientists..some good links for you to get your bearings!

Seriously, trust the Russians. They’ve gone through Chernobyl and have done radation experiments with humans in certain villages. I really hope we can see some Russian whistleblowers. To me, they know everything about dangers of radiation.
