Oct. 27 — “Abnormal smoke from reactor 2,” reads the headline at Fukushima Diary.

“Extra ordinary smoke/steam was emit from around reactor 2″ on October 22 at 5:24p JST.

The report notes, “When it started emitting smoke, it was already dark, so light has nothing to do with the phenomena.”

“This is what comes down to Tokyo by the wind from North.”

Not smoke from #2. It’s just coastal fog rolling in. Happens sometimes after sunset when heavy low clouds drop right down to the water as the evening air gets cooler.

Not so.. It was China Syndrome hydovolcanic blasts from the coriums. Expect that kind of eruption on a regular basis for a few millennia. The Japanese tourism agency could probably sell tourism packages to see Old Corie blow off steam.

Yellow rain in masse across america, While foul and aquatic life suffering in the thousands
Mass bird die off on Great lakes (10,000′s)
Okay Folks it seems that you haven’t heard of the mass
die offs of water foul up here on Georgian bay Lake Huron. For the last several weeks we have had a continuous flow of hundreds of dead birds washing ashore of varying species(Canadian geese, loons, cormorants, king fisher, morgansers, malards, blue herring,etc.etc.) with the odd baby sturgeon(~3′long). They kept making this claim that it is botulism but they haven’t completed any testing to back this up(and it’s been weeks). Last Friday the 21 of Oct. I was out kiteboarding at Allen wood beach around 4-5pm when it became quite obvious that the odd floating duck was becoming a constant stream and upon coming back to shore it was evident that there were hundreds of dead ducks washing ashore. I convinced my buddy to get off the water and go home and clean up all our gear and ourselves to take no chances(Glade I did!). After cleaning up and heading over to my buddies place for a beer I stopped by the shore again rougly 6:30pm and there was 1000′s of dead duck washing ashore. I’m talking about going from one dead duck every yard, just over and hour before to literally 2-3 ducks every yard roughly 1 a foot. Folks this is the sickest thing I have ever seen!

We’ll the cover up is well underway, the corporate media has brushed this off as some common occurrence on the great lakes. The interview I had with the parks superintendent that I blew holes in his the water is safe story which was recorded by every media organization, yet none of them published any of it. if fact they only published half truths and outright lies about the ducks dieing off.

Firstly they claim the number of dead ducks to be between 5-6000. This is only a fraction of the dead ducks The officer who gave this report reported on

I am from California and have about 40 years of seeing heavy fog roll in. There is no way that is just fog. That is smoke and heavy air combined. So if there is no problem, at all, according to Tepco-why is that smoke happening?

Thank HOTR. It’s disturbing how many people are still trying to downplay everything, I know that some people want to “avoid a panic” (I mean why panic over ecological devastation that is unchecked even to Chernobyl standards right? Sigh..) but if they cared so much they’d be speaking with the governments of the countries that do the offending.

That is, instead of logging onto boards where the users clearly know they are being lied to on a daily basis.

There were reports from Tokyo of people smelling bleach. Then a few days later, people from California were reporting it. It turned out to be hydrazine they were injecting into the spent fuel pools. These plumes can remain intact over thousands of miles of the Pacific.

That’s a 1 hour film in 3 minuts time, time lapsed.. it still could be fog , as you first see the clouds rolling in at high speed .. re-watch and look up at the clouds … I’m not saying it isn’t a corium hitting ground water sort of thing, but ever watched the fog come in at high speed ?

I’m from coastal california, and many times the bay got obliterated with fog in just a few minutes…in Newport Beach, it could be 30 seconds before the penninsula dissappeared from watching from Balboa island…

I’ve been waiting for my yellow rain. This morning, the car was covered in the notorious yellow pollen dust, after a particularly heavy coastal fog. Unfortunately, I don’t have a geiger, but I am going to follow my own advice, and put a sample under a microscope to see if it is pollen.

It could be pollen, lots of palm trees in the area. Will post an update to what I find.

The massive wildlife die-offs are indeed worrying. Canary in the coal mine comes to mind.

Interesting times to be living in. I feel sorry for the young people. What a wrecked planet we are handing over.

    http://www.tepco.co.jp/en/press/corp-com/release/11102210-e.html

Tepco has measured ocean contamination at different points around the plant. The results are very encouraging. They detected none! Well well well… now we know all this talk of ocean contamination were just false rumors, like everything else.

I raise many ducks and know about duck /waterfowl diseases . I’m sure it’s not radiation !! chickens and other birds can take 2 and 1/2 times the LDL 50 amount that humans can..

Botulism, however is common, it occurs from the ducks eating or drinking water contaminated with the organism, IE: rotting vegitation or mouldy grains , maggotts from a dead carcass , that sort of thing . it kills them fast .

Duck plague is a fast running disease that kills many waterfowl in an area …

Toxicology tests are time consuming and expensive, often times the botulism doesn’t show up in the tests . Other diseases are found out during the inspection of the dead animal, or Necropsy…

I have 117 ducks and chickens all drinking straight rainwater , with no effects, nothing has died , tipped over or acted peculiar in any way. We are in Hawaii

the animal deaths you speak of isn’t from Fukushima !!

To the People who are concerned,
there are still some Buildings behind the Reactor,
    do not forget this!

This Fogium is from unknown origin!

Imo the Fogium must come out of the right Corner
of Reactor 3 or 4 because of the direction of Wind but it look that it is coming from behind the Building!

Somebody keeps saying it’s just fog.
A rather odd kind of fog, for sure. If you look at the black pole in the middle, centered straight on reactor 2, you can see that this “fog” spreads out in two different directions…to the right and to the left…
No doubt it’s a pressurized steam jet from reactor 2 building.
After all, the continuos detection of new hot spots all around shows that radioctivity in the environement is actually increasing.
No wonder it’s coming from Fukku…

Low cool fog, on a time lapse, would appear to wrap around a building. the building is warm and the fog at first stays low and cool, the wind would make it appear it is sucking around the building .. ever watched a wind tunnel expirment, with the wind eddying around objects… looks wierd !!

Remember also that is 1 hour of time laposed into 3 minutes !!

Yes it’s probably grey pollen launched from the pine trees behind the reactors, you know in fall/winter trees liberate massive amounts of grey pollen that could be considered a hazard. Those trees surrounding the plant should come down, then the grey pollen would not be creating this smoke screen Cindy!

By the way if a lot of dead ducks is unusual, then it’s not a normal occurence.
Here in Rio de Janeiro, we have a logoon where there are annual fish kills during the summer, the water is polluted, not enough oxygen, elevated water temps and the fish die by the thousands. This duck kill in these numbers is not an annual event nor has it ever happened before regarding these numbers. What has changed in the enviroment that may be influencing this anomally? A three way meltdown, corium on the floor, explosions launching toxins in the enviroment, gee that might have something to do with it!

  • NukeisShit

Nice Cindy…but still it doesn’t explain why it’s centered around building 2 only. There are 4 buildings over there and nothing similar is happening around reactor 1…

  • I have been told by the Masters of Plaidien Empire, that this plume is coming from the moss and grass around the plant, and it is non toxic. The Plaidiens are experimenting with beaming their ray guns on mosses and grass to see what happens.. This was just one of these experiments.

Have no fear Earthlings.. The Plaidiens and Martians will save you. Join a church and become true believers.. Please go to the same church that the TEPCO bosses attend. NO OFFENSE GUYS, but some time ago , Arnie Gunderson said many people E-mailed him about this very same ‘Fog’ and he didn’t think much of it … had to do with temperature drop and the regular steam emission condensing and getting suddenly heavier with the chill of the evening air .. maybe the temp and dewpoint are nearly the same during this steam event … I’m also a pilot, and know a bit about weather …

Don’t you guys think something would ‘Happen’ to TEPCO’s camera for a few minuits to conceal this mass steam exodus ?

The chart lists chickens only. You can’t extrapolate to every species of bird from chickens.

I personally find some of the alarmism from, especially, certain people posting often on this site counter-productive, but you seem to be doing the opposite, and very–I’d say too-sure of your expertise on fog, waterfowl, and….I wonder what’s next?

Alarmism’s not good but it’s healthier than assuming nothing’s wrong when perhaps something VERY wrong is, and while it’s good to be a critical thinker, countering every expression of concern with an absolute assurance that none of these things going on is related to Fukushima makes you responsible in part for any undue complacency by anyone who follows your advice. Think about that.

Cindy birds fly. They are up in the atmosphere with we don’t know how much radiation cause no one is checking. Also, curiosly most of these birds are water fowl. Perhaps they have been drinking out of yellow puddles, maybe they got covered in the yellow pollen in the AIR….a different place than the LAND. Why are you speculating when the real problem is whatever agency knows what the problem is they are not being very forth coming…mumbling about a contagion without facts…come on. When people drink and drive, are stopped and refuse to take a breath test it because they have been drinking, when the goverment says everything is pollen we don’t need to test it ( when infact the cdc asked people to report any yellow dust they find (pre fuku)) you know it’s cause there is something bad about that yellow dust.

There is fog. Again, for the umpteenth time, the water vapor pouring off the corium is not visible except under conditions similar to fog. Thus, it is often the case that fog rolling in is preceded by visible radioactive fog roiling up around the reactors.

This is undiscovered territory, as never have we had 3 melt-outs with camera (crappy camera with lights to blow-out the situation, but still) coverage to follow.

When you see visible fog roiling off around some areas with zero fog elsewhere prior to full fog roll in, you are seeing what is spewing forth from the reactors 24/7/365.

Look for the devil in the details, bmurr, because you can bet pennies to dollars TEPCO will never admit to them.

I think it is a combination of both.
Any natural moisture.. fog, groundwater,,etc…will become steam..
    The corium has emissions..
Due to the intense heat of the corium..I speculate it draws moisture.
Emissions are easier to see at night…just before dawn..and dusk.
These emissions are seen on a continous basis along with criticalities…neutron flashes…green and red emissions,
Reactor 2 ..has a hole in it on the opposite side…three spews..one and between one and 2…and ,of course, 4…
