Title: One year and when you are thought to be assailant
Source: Fukushima Diary
Date: March 10, 2012
[...] Medical record of human deformation or still birth is being collected but I’m not allowed to publish it. They are trying to make proper statistics before publishing it. I can understand it, but that’s different from my attitude.
Fukushima diary is to warm people to evacuate. so it must be fast. must be before it goes on major media. That’s what I needed just after 311, that’s why I’m doing it now. Should I evacuate or not, that’s what I wanted to know. so the balance is difficult. I try to keep it not over the top. but the conclusion is, everyone must evacuate.
The reality in Fukushima, and the future of Japan is overwhelming. Even I can’t take it seriously though my head is understanding it. No home, no country, nothing. I still can’t understand what I’m doing. I think I’m going to take 30 or 40 years to understand it really.
Now Japanese people are confused. They are finally understanding the risk of the SFP of reactor 4, and the risk of spreading the radioactive debris. [...]

Well, so much for reality. Really I don't understand the big deal here. I mean a little partial melt down, a little radiation release, but hay, no one was killed. Let's look into Thorium, I mean, what the heck……………………….

The sooner this information becomes public, the better – something has to alert the gneral public to the ongoing pollution from Fukushima and its threat to the entire planet's health…the Japanese are only its earliest first victims.

I'm with you Charlie. I've started a petition but very few signers (http://www.thepetitionsite.com/105/538/314/tell-president-obama-and-japanese-pm-noda-prevent-fukushima-from-becoming-a-global-catastrophe/) and signed others, I'm emailing organizations and celebrities and posting ENEnews stuff on FB. Go for it and tell everyone you can, what else can we do?

what else.. i think a lot of us are wondering.
can we have a thread for 'creative ways to express bad news' ?
i'm serious, and not, here.
possibly some of us have ideas already, even posted them, but they get lost in other items.
some kind of campaign is actually needed, this has gone on beyond way too long.
The Duck from the Blues Brother didn't die recently for nothing.. he just reminded me of their campaign for the big gig .. now there's a wind up

The orders to evacuate 500km around the plant should have happened when the third explosion happened. The fact that people have stayed within 500km of Fukushima is a testament to how well the media has done at not covering the accident or how to contain it. Residents need to begin taking measures to protect themselves in order to stay healthy. This reality is just sinking in now after 1 year. This reality should have been expected when the US pentagon sent memo's to the white house asking for evacuation orders for all US citizens living in Tokyo. The white house then responded with an order to stand down. Prevent panic before preventing a heath disaster.

Could you post a link to this: "This reality should have been expected when the US pentagon sent memo's to the white house asking for evacuation orders for all US citizens living in Tokyo. The white house then responded with an order to stand down. Prevent panic before preventing a heath disaster."
Thanks!

This is just the start. Heavy metal nuclides stick to phosphates, DNA, and centrioles like shit to a blanket. Dividing cells become distorted, and with missing genetic compnents they are unable to develope correctly.

He's afraid that when it becomes more generally known that the Japanese people are riddled with radiation that no-one will want them to live next door, the NIMBY syndrome. Japan could become like a leper colony of old. He's right to be worried about this possibility.
