Feb. 18, 2012 tweet from Tokyo Vice Governor Naoki Inose translated by Fukushima Diary
At the end of the NHK TV program Hakunetsu class, we talked about the justice of landsknecht [German mercenaries] and conscription. We can’t think about it as reality because Japan is not supposed to have a war, but as a matter of fact, Fukushima is in the war state, currently sub-contract workers are there like landsknecht. However, Fukushima is a national problem. We all Japanese must face it and try to settle down.

My geiger counter got out of order, went to the shop to repair. They said, they can no loger [sic] sell foreign geiger counters from the order of Japanese government. Government says, foreign geiger counters are not accurate, may cause panic. I wonder what they will do for the geiger counters that have already been bought by normal people. They also said it was ordered backstage. I’m scared of Japan, feel like I’m being killed quietly.
March 19, 2012 tweet translated by Fukushima Diary
I wonder the shop is under surveillance because they seem to have a strong pipe with foreign makers. Just after 311, geiger counters were out of stock all over Japan but only that shop had stock. I’m sorry because I wanted to buy a better one made in “a” country. I don’t want to disturb the shop, so will delete this tweet soon.

Honestly though, I think things have gotten messed up due to several factors and not just the Fuku crisis.. The BP Oil spill, the actual earthquake that started this mess.. you name it.

"can no longer [sic] sell foreign geiger counters" then at least the software version using a mobile phone would be helpful and difficult to ban (though they are usually not that sensistive than GM versions)

Yes, Whoopie, I read that post today. Apparently, it takes quite a bit to make the Japanese people angry. They are ever so polite to their government handlers, who urge them to "Support by eating". How gross! Get up. Don't bow to these morons! Get mad! Get loud! Get out of there!

Ah, yes. The old "calibration" loophole. Ran into that at TMI2, when the TLD readers – NRC had one, Met-Ed had the other – engaged in "calibration wars" day to day to cover up the most amount of exposure. Used to randomly load them, some from each stack in each machine so I could get an average read from the difference between them, then add the difference since yesterday's calibration. They were hiding 10 mr a day for awhile, then it went to 20, then 30, then 50. Before you knew it nobody got any radiation exposure at all from being on-site at TMI. I kept my own dosage, hubby's and our friends' on a separate calc sheet, since what got entered into the recordkeeping 'system' was severely depleted, and anything under 10 mr per day didn't get recorded at all. Not surprisingly, none of us got any radiation at all according to Met-Ed. According to my cheat-sheet, we each got over 100 mr (and one over 250).
Nifty how that works, isn't it? Makes me wonder how much dose Japan's meters are calibrated to ignore. It's not hard to do, just turn a screw…

I also hear God crying over the idea of conscription. We pay for these plants (insurance et al) with our labor; now the Japanese might have to pay with their lives. This would by no means any longer be quiet killing.
As for me, I am getting more enraged by the second. A message to the power elites: your strategy of inducing learned helplessness will backfire, you can bet on it.
This is for Still Jill, who remarked that I never swear: Take your filthy genocide and take a flying fuck.

Just so you know, you made me giggle and look up behind me at the Flying Fuck sitting on top of the china cabinet. Grandson's girlfriend gave it to us for Christmas year before last, darned if I can remember to buy batteries so it's accessible when need be. There are SO many times somebody says something that makes me want to fly it right into their laps…
That said, my experience so far with the grand-generation (early grandsons nearly 22, others late teens, plus the single digit midgets) is that they are as curious as we ever were, and thrice as street-smart. I remember being young and believing individuals could make a real difference with our lives. And I recall that "forbidden" knowledge – the kind you had to go looking for – was the best kind of knowledge to have. Kids haven't changed. They're just "officially" dumb because they've never been taught certain things in school. So were we. Give 'em half a chance and they're off and running, just like we were when we discovered the fact that there's more going on than the public is allowed to know.
The kids are okay. Don't count them out.

speaking of war. does anyone remember linus pauling? he was instrumental in getting the above ground testing banned. here is a video of him speaking on this matter in 1961. he tells what to do. although he talks against war and nuclear armament his message is clear as to what must be done. it is rather folksy in that there is singing between cuts so bear with that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr41MviPXpg
this is history repeating as a twisted rhyme. who will be the modern linus pauling on this matter?

RE Ban of dosimeters, as osted on FD:
This should be very easy for some those living in Japan to verify!
If this is now happening then it would be HUGE news for both the Japanese people and the rest of US monitoring what is going on from outside Japan!
Please consider making some calls and let US know if this is “fluke” or is it now offical policy in Japan!
Thanks in advance…

I have mixed feelings on the draft. The genetic damage is going to be great in some areas. But, some areas may vary either high or low. Maybe those in far southern Japan who have the least damage should not be sent to the north to try to save some of the Japanese genome. Also, those within a certain distance such as 100 kilometers may already have a fatal dose and may be more appropriate to send in.
Do they ruin all of their DNA or should they also try to minimize DNA damage across the society? Remember, they also value the group good.

Japan is already toast. The Japanese gnome is already toast. Probably little difference at this point who works at Fuku. Fate is already in motion. Fate is already sealed.
Did you notice that Fuku labor is being subcontracted out by TEPCO? Don't want to risk their own trying to deal with this Fukud-up mess.
Did you know that Japan was already suffering permanent recession due to falling population? What will happen after half the remaining population migrates away, when remaining couples decide not to risk having children, and when the remaining Japanese children begin to die of thyroid cancers? Japan: there is no future for you there. Better to get out while you can.
No geiger counters? No press releases of data by TEPCO? Conscription to man the cleanup? Support be EATING! Get mad! Get up! Get out of Japan! No nukes!

Radiation contamination releases along with massive noble gas releases can definitely mess with our planet's weather patterns. This has been well documented long ago during the bomb blasts.
But then this guy says there is something big (a large dense mass) near our planet and approaching from outer space…oh boy!
It's a "Believe It or Not" and we will all know soon enough here on Planet Earth!

You would think Mr. Lieutenant Governor would want to get his name in the paper for saying who actually commissioned and sited and designed that plant. I guess he would rather keep his head down and be dignified about it. In America, we dislike Bush41 as much as anyone. I wish Americans did not have their heads so far up their own butts about this.
