Christopher Busby: Chernobyl-like radiation found in Tokyo, RT, August 17, 2011:
At 2:55 in
Chris Busby [visiting professor at the University of Ulster’s school of biomedical sciences and scientific secretary of the European Committee on Radiation Risk, a think-tank -Bloomberg]: There’s a very, very high level of contamination even as far south as Tokyo. For example, we found one sample in Tokyo that had levels of radioactivity higher than levels inside the Chernobyl exclusion zone. a Very serious matter.

sueec, how nice to have good news! The people in India are supposed to better educated than people in the US. I expected them to make better decisions. And they have!!!

@anne
I came back today and saw the posts about Paul.. I only got a couple of them bookmarked and then could not find the thread again.
Would you be kind enough to send them to me via this address ?
peace-protester@mailinator.com
Those messages only stay on that site for 24 hours and I will check it tonight before bed or first thing in the a.m.
I want to know as much as possible about Paul, as in all contenders and would appreciate it. I fear there will be NO ONE worth voting for.
Thank you
@sueec That is wonderful news for India. I try to follow some news there via the internet and was glad to read about the GMO research done there also and the fight to keep GMO’s out of India !!
You are indeed better off for both decisions !

As a lifelong democrat, I will be registering as a republican to vote for Ron Paul. As one who voted for puppet Obama, he completely lost my vote with the Gulf of Mexico/BP Oil spill debacle. I never thought that anything could be worse, but tragic Fukushima occurred.
Paul stands against the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya and has at least spoken out about government corruption.

Let’s not go waving any flags just yet.
Terrapower is in talks with India to sell his traveling wave reactor to them.
Bill Gates is a heavy investor and spokesperson for the company.
I hope it doesn’t run on Windows software. Although after security patch 3 and Service pack 3.1 it should all be fine.

{SNIP}
When the whole world was tensely following the nuclear crisis unfolding in Japan, this is what two luminaries of the Indian nuclear establishment, often called upon by the government and media to educate the ‘ignorant’ public about nuclear power, had to say, as reported by PTI:
(Comments made between March 12th, and March 19th, 2011)
“There is no nuclear accident or incident in the Japan’s Fukushima plants.” — SK Jain, chairman, Nuclear Power Corporation;
“It was purely a chemical reaction and not a nuclear emergency as described by some section of media.” —Srikumar Banerjee, chairman, Atomic Energy Commission.
One Indian article responded to these comments:
I’ve given up. I’ve resigned myself, at best, to a half-life in a dangerously radioactive environment, and at worst, to death by instant vaporisation.
I keep asking myself the same question that pops up in my head when I watch the Indian cricket team: Why, oh, why are we so stupid? Can’t we learn from Japan’s mistake? Does it not matter that the British, French and Finnish regulators have pointed out 3,000 safety issues with Areva’s reactors – specifically to do with emergency cooling and safe shutdown systems, the two factors behind the Fukushima accident?

Two things happening simultaneously. Tokyo contamination and monitor screen in Russian TV showing “Radioactive steam reported amid Fukushima Meltdown Cleanup Op”. Really a Melt-OUT.

JFK got assassinated for being a leader. A leader might be afraid to take the job.
Report Comment
Anne I believe a leader is someone who takes that oath to be dedicated to leading no matter the consequences. JFK was assinated, so was MLK but in doing so they LED this country to a better place.A leader without courage and conviction is someone take up space.
Report Comment
I think the media and the political parties make sure that no leader can possibly be elected. If we had free advertising for political candidates and no electoral college and run offs, we would have more political parties and more points of view represented among candidates. I think the transfer of wealth to the wealthy and corporate welfare and welfare for the wealthy (have you read the book “Free Lunch”, have totally corrupted our political system. If this were not so the stimulus would have financed infrastructure and completely financed new jobs. Instead, the people who destroyed the economy were rewarded by the government at the expense of everyone else. No one at the top lost jobs or were prosecuted for fraud. The hedge fund operators still pay no taxes. The US wouldn’t be in the debt if there were a sales tax on every investment transaction. Instead the gamblers are rewarded by gambling and throwing away the wealth of the country.
The companies who send jobs overseas are still given tax breaks for doing so. The opposite should be the law.
The nuclear industry is financed by the government to kill every one off. They should all be in jail for murder. If a society condones murder it is committing suicide.

I like Busby. I know some do not, but to me, he talks in realities of what has been proven.
Those that say only so and so many died from Chernobly have no idea. There was no monitoring and so many people died of isotopes that caused so many other illnesses that resulted in death.
These people are/were never counted properly. imo

Unless people have read Busby’s excellent scientific publications, no one has any right to undermine him. I have heard him speak on many occasions, and in Europe his research has been at the forefront of scientific debate. I once heard him give an excellent talk on the radiation standards of the nuclear industry, and how much they relied on supposition instead of observable data. In many ways Busby is a genius. I always strongly recommend the information at the llrc.org site.

Tokyo needs to evacuate.
But
If they do it will collapse the world economy…or what is left of it. More important to the corrupt will be that it will crash the dollar and they will no longer have the tools they need to keep the masses at bay.
This is going to get more and more interesting as time goes on. People dying in Tokyo or global financial collapse.
I, like all of you, say SAVE THE PEOPLE OF TOKYO. Give them Montana or something.
Report Comment
Dear pg: Actually, it would not collapse the world economy. Money is an electronic confidence game. It’s not real at all. What is real is the unnecessary suffering of people in our non-inevitable system of exploitation of others and a finite ecosystem for the enrichment of the few at the expense of the many…for no good or organic reason whatsoever.
What would happen if a sensible evacuation of Tokyo were to occur is that it would expose the international billionaire/mega-multinational corporate/military/covert world leaderships for the liars and illusion makers that they are. We would then be much more aware or more likely to become aware of the fact that all socioeconomic suffering is DECIDED by a dominant class that believes in something called Structural Functionalism (Talcott Parsons), even though socioeconomic suffering has ZERO, so far, inevitability without EVERYONE or a controlling majority buying into the lies that are inherent and axiomatically part of ANY human socioeconomic system based in exploition of other humans and a finite ecosystem with enforced classes. The enforcement comes from disinformation, reinforcement of cultural tendencies toward preferences for titular hierarchical rule, through generations of military, corporate and covert enforced unnecessary and non-inevitable privations, so that the insanity of the dominant Structural Functionalist system becomes a “norm” or “natural” or part of a “culture” somehow. This anything but inevitable hegemony of top-down rule is daily patched up with increasingly sophisticated drumbeat of doublespeak preposterous non-functioning jingoisms of modern materialistic values helping to detach all humans from the necessity of social species to always share, and of all species living in finite ecosystems to not exploit each other or to hoard when others, including other species within the larger ecosystem, are in need for the sake of the integrity and overall best functioning of the larger ecosystem from which we will never extricate ourselves in our corporeal form.

“we’re all subjects in a big genetic modification experiment” Maybe that’s the new world order we have heard so much about.

More like a genetic extinction experiment. The Nazi pharmaseuticals and scientists performing genetic experiments came to the US after the war, and the work is proceeding. Never mind that their premises are madness. Radiation destroys DNA completely. Mad scientists cannot publish their findings truthfully. Radiation has already destroyed their minds’ ability to think rationally and to accept reality.

I do not believe anyone is experimenting. They simply lost their minds when they started developing nuclear energy in the 1950s, thinking they could keep holding the tiger by its tail indefinitely. What hubris!
It is in the interest of corporations to keep a population expanding because that is how markets expand. The new world order, if such it is, is primarily characterized by the dominance of corporate interests over any human consideration whatsoever.

Ah, the irony! As the psychologists say, whatever we deny is bound to come back writ large to haunt us. It is the content we deny, the content which is unconscious, that bars the path forward.
Man (sic) has been attempting to deny or overcome Death for millenia. From Guilgamesh searching for the Fountain of Eternal Life to the American Imperium of Bush et. Al. in search of the Fountain of Eternal Oil, man (sic) has sought to outfox death. But to no avail.
Ironically, with the science and technology we employed in the effort to escape death, Man (and woman, humankind) has created —
Death Writ Large Across the Planet –
shouting, “Deal with me. Recognize me. Understand how I am blocking your path forward.
Good luck one and all. It means no less than the survival of the species. It is the evolutionary mandate. It is the evolution of consciousness.
