SOURCE: Panel: Japan-level nuclear crisis possible at San Onofre, The Orange County Register, October 12, 2011

[...] More than 200 people from all over Southern California gathered in the San Clemente Community Center for the second of three meetings in which the San Clemente City Council is addressing lessons learned from Japan’s Fukushima disaster. [...]

“You’re sitting next to a cancer factory,” [Dr. Helen Caldicott, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee and co-founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility] said. “You are running a cancer factory that generates electricity.” [...]

[Daniel Hirsch, a lecturer on Nuclear Policy at UC Santa Cruz] said 8.5 million people live within 50 miles of San Onofre, the distance that U.S. federal regulators recommended that Americans around Fukushima should flee after March 11. Yet here the NRC’s emergency planning zone is 10 miles around San Onofre, a nuclear plant he said was approved without a workable evacuation plan. [...]

10 miles of…”hey man that shit may kill you, but don’t worry we have no back up plan.” Usually not good planning leads to high levels of “oh shit health problems and mutation.

  • There’s always one in the crowd.

When George Allen, a local resident, asked why no one has died at Fukushima, Caldicott said, “…”. (see article)

What she probably thought, at least for a moment, was… “I can’t believe this clown is such an idiot!!! Someone needs to to kick this joker in the …, I don’t see him or his family going to Fuku and helping out any time soon. What a dip chit!” (…and that was the nice thought)

Dr. Helen Caldicott is amazingly brilliant, brave lady.

I do believe that, “We are running a cancer factory’s that generates electricity.”

There are other safer ways to generate electricity.

Caldicott said,” The wind blew initially out to sea so there were no early high doses.

“No thank you I don’t want, ocean front property.”
