A source from Japan with a background in nuclear engineering writes:
I get permission to write an article from one Minamisoma’s resident who found the real black material (520micro SV). [...]
As a picture, real black substance which found by one Minamisoma’s resident shows 2893cps, it is much stronger than Mr. Ooyama’s 500cps sample. In comparison with other low-level samples (approx. 140cps), real black substance has extremely higher radiation.
Up to now, both Mr. Ooyama and City of Minamisoma have not measured the real black substances at all. Black substance might have over 10M Bq/kg (possibly 20M Bq/kg) Cs134+Cs137! It is too dangerous and must be analyzed by public institutions.

Fukushima air to stay radioactive in 2022

FUKUSHIMA — A decade from now, airborne radiation levels in some parts of Fukushima Prefecture are still expected to be dangerous at above 50 millisieverts a year, a government report says.
The report, which contains projections through March 2032, was presented by trade minister Yukio Edano Sunday to leaders of Futaba, one of the towns that host the crippled Fukushima No. 1 power plant.
The report includes radiation forecasts for 2012 to 2014, and for 2017, 2022 and 2032, based on the results of monitoring in November last year. It was compiled to help municipalities draw up recovery and repopulation programs for the nuclear disaster.

Prof. Takeda Kunihiko from Chubu university roughly estimated anyone can no longer live in Japan after 3/31/2015.
According to his explanation, the yearly dose will reach 5mSv/y (External dose and the slight internal dose) in 3 years and 4 months from January of 2012.
He states, he receives radiation data from one of his readers. The person measures radiation three times a day, at work, doorway of house, and the living room in Mie prefecture (500km from Fukushima). Prof. Takeda admits the data is scientific enough.
From the radiation level has been in the increasing trend since last September. In linear equations (y=ax+b), the average from January to March (=b) is 0.10 μSv/h, a is +0.004 μSv/h. y reaches 5mSv/y in 3 years and 3 months, so yearly dose will be over 5mSv/y in 3 years and 4 months from January of 2012, when is 3/31/2015.
Prof. Takeda admits the data was collected by an individual and a and b are calculated by least squares but it’s rational enough.
The reason why radiation level is increasing is not explained.

sorry, but it has been explaind by AIPRI months ago. I did posted here around but the useless noise in news and comments here are working against the cause. I'm a scientist and was a nuclear safety specialist (specially on H2 explosion following meltdown) and the countless occurence facts are people dont care what can posted here or on the net by valuable people. They just want some sensastionnal news with fancy images or videos, not increase in knowledge.
I'll not explain again and again, just search the web.
And yes, me and other specialist are still on their first conclusion : japan is DOOMED and people that are still there didnt fly early enough.
If building 4 collapse, even going south hemispher will gain you up to 10 years at best. regards.

thnx for posting. we need accurate info from nuclear professionals who are not affiliated with or biased towards the nuke industry and who don't exaggerate the fear mongering but spell it out clearly. please post links to reliable sources. you implied that going to south hemispher may be worth it if bldg 4 does not collapse. Is that necessary? if bldg 4 does not collapse, is it safe to stay on the us west coast? or have we already been hit by so much radiation that we might as well stay? how about the plan to put unit 4's 244 fuel rods into dry cask at a cost of $1 each? the money is not the prob. Is it technologically doable?

If build 4 collapse and huge fire spread, I'll start my moving procedure from France. If it's a "small fire smoke" i guess i'll be on permanent checking plus daily use of my radmeter.
If I was on west coast :
1/ if I was living without land (apartment) I guess I could have stayed so far.
2/ if I had a house + land and rad measure personnaly made showed my kitchen garden (like I'm used to atm) was no good then I would have leaved already
3/ and speaking of building 4, if I see fire smoke (even small) lasting more than 1 week I start moving procedure immediatly. Because once it start for good it won't be stoppable (even won't be reachable).

Radioactive Japan: Plutonium Detected In Black Substance From Minamisoma

- Plutonium 238 measured in Minamisoma (Fukushima Diary, April 26, 2012):
0.038 Bq/Kg (2.47Bq/m2) of Plutonium 238 was measured in Minamisoma.
They also measured 0.047 Bq/Kg of Plutonium 239 and 240, and 0.73 Bq/Kg of Plutonium 241.
8.5 Bq/Kg of Strontium 89, and 50 Bq/Kg of Strontium 90 was also measured.
Mr. Oyama, Minamisoma city councilor had city government measure it. He comments like these below,
Sample was taken after decontamination.
The sample contains soil, sand, and water other than black substance.(Water ratio is not announced.)
Sample to consist of only black substance and water (Moisture content = 71.4%) contains 309,000 Bq/Kg of cesium and it’s 1,080,000 Bq/Kg when it’s dry. It therefore will be more than 3 times higher if it doesn’t content sand, soil or water.
Pu238/Pu239+240 used to be 0.027 before 311. This result shows it’s 0.808.
The analysis was done by Japan Chemical Analysis Center, which is outsourced by the government.

If this report is true, the "black substance" contains plutonium 238, 239, & 240.
Plutonium-238 has a half-life of 87.7 years.
Plutonium-239 has a half-life of 24,100 years
Plutonium-240 has a half-life of 6,560 years
Is it time to evacuate yet?

Nobody seems to be doing anything about this black fallout. If the authorities will not act, then the citizens must do whatever it takes to make this problem widely known.
If ordinary citizens would take a sample of the stuff and send it to their favourite celebrities along with a letter urging the celebrity to get the stuff tested we could hope that when they got the results back, that they would start speaking up about what is going on in east Japan.
It must be possible to safely package the stuff in a way so that you don't expose you favourite celebrity or the postman to the radiation inside the package. Otherwise I'm afraid that it could create a scare in the order of the anthrax letters some years back. Perhaps aluminum foil could shield the radiation. Someone else here might have a better idea.
Imagine talk show hosts talking about this on their shows, explaining how children are actually playing in areas covered with this deadly stuff.
I hope someone in the area will consider this.

I bet the truth of the matter is the spent fuel is all burned up already, just like all the him-haw about whether there was a meltdown or not for months, when in reality meltdowns happened within a few days.
On one hand, this really could be something like the Wormwood event of Revelation.
On the other, considering all the nuclear accidents and waste dumping that have been going on for decades unreported, maybe the world isn't in for much more than it has had in the past.
Of course, Japan is probably ruined, with count rates of material like this so high.

With that radioactive intensity you would need a box made of Ft. Knox vault doors to ship snail mail packages and that might not be enough shielding.
The truth is trickling out to the Internet users (2 billion strong…500 million in China alone).
There is a growing percentage of the 2 billion that knows Japan's situation is dire. A smaller percentage knows the Northern hemisphere is also getting dosed.
Those numbers will grow every day. Naked apes in the Information Technology Age are quickly rebroadcasting uncensored news about The Fallout Age.
We are legion… bureaucrats are few. They can kill everyone slowly with fallout, but they can't kill everyone quickly with guns. Pixels of protest speed far faster than bullets. There will be a reckoning.

The black substance seems to only appear after decontamination so someone is spreading it around DELIBERATELY. Strange, isn't it that this stuff is appearing ever since they started burning the debris?? Coincidence?? You think so?? R U BRAIN DEAD? It's deliberate! And its being done on a well organized level!! Pretty soon all of japan will be covered with this garbage.
