Title: Overview of active cesium contamination of freshwater fish in Fukushima and Eastern Japan
Authors: Toshiaki Mizuno & Hideya Kubo
Date Published:

[...] The extent of active cesium (quasi-Cs137) contamination of Ayu [fish] is observed in the entire eastern Japan. The some level of the contamination is recognized even in Shizuoka prefecture, 400 km south-west from the plant. [...]

The serious accidents of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant have been contaminating a vast area in eastern Japan, home of 60 million people. [...]

The widespread contamination in eastern Japan

To the south west of Fukushima prefecture, there lies the Kanto region which as well as containing the metropolitan prefecture of Tokyo also comprises Ibaraki prefecture, Tochigi prefecture, Gunma prefecture, Saitama prefecture, and Chiba prefecture. In the area, there is the Tone river basin that is the one of biggest river basins (16,840 km2) in Japan. [...]

[...] In areas within a radius of 100 km from the nuclear plant, active cesium contamination levels of the Ayu are more than 200 Bq/kg. In those between a radius of 100 km and 200 km, it is around 60–200 Bq/kg. In those between a radius of 200 km and 300 km in which Tokyo is included, it is 20–60 Bq/kg. Therefore, it is estimated that contamination of freshwater fish is extended to all prefectures in eastern Japan. The contamination is recognized as far as Shizuoka prefecture, 400 km south-west from the plant. [...]

WOW I am so happy to see this. Only Japan is effected, Sarcasm, 60 million? It seems that the number would have more zeros on the end.

We can not continue to allow 60 million plus people live in contaminated land, we need to start thinking how we are going to assist these people, this is there home and most will not leave on there own, due to nationalism, family and of course money and work, how do we convince them or entice them to move, what can we offer them, we know the Japanese government will be of no assistance and only a hinderence.

  • ~FLASH MESSAGE~ SIXTY (60) MILLION PEOPLE CONTAMINATED! – Oh really? From the way that
TEPCO and the Japanese Government report it, I thought NO ONE was hurt, contaminated nor irradiated in any way! Gee, TEPCO had me believing that all the reactors at Fukushima were just temporarily out of commission. All they have to do is some "repair" work and then they can start those big beauties up again. In no time at all, those reactors will be putting 500 KV down the line, just like the good old days..NOT!

Tempco has been lying from day one, there is billioons who are now in some way taking in RAD's & it will grow as the plant continues to fall aprt from the daily decay from salt water, air, storms & more earth quakes, it's only a matter of time befor untit 4 falls in & all bets are off then, no stopping the decay of this mess, less face the truth! With out help from a private source the Fukushima plants will never be capped!

In reviewing the report, it appears their measurements regarding radioactive contamination includes data from 2011. So, what has been deposited and accumulated to date is missing from the study?

Daiichi NPP has been off gassing 24/7, radioactive water has continued to be dumped into the Pacific, and the country wide incinerators continue to spew radionuclides into the air, water, and terra firma.

It's all about bioaccumulation not dilution; therefore, if the disintegration counts were high in 2011, what multiplier could one assume more than a year later?

And they are still shipping food and goods from Japan around the world. Where was your car filter made, your car? I see sushi restaurants are still operating where I live.

There are three kinds of people re: Fukushima – the ignorant, the deniers and the awake.

The ignorant will never grasp anything, other than the need to fulfill their basic desires. Anything else is irrelevant, and they are not worth wasting your breath on.

The second group is the deniers. They know something is wrong, that it probably affects them, but for many reasons they don't want to know what it is. The 'ignorance is bliss' crowd. They are the ones that get the 'deer in the headlight' look when you bring it up, and immediately want to change the subject or turn and walk away. They also aren't worth wasting your breath on.

Then there are the awake, or semi-awake. I might mention a little something about radiation, and if they are at least semi-awake, they will want to talk about it. These are the pearls among sand that are worth talking to.

Interesting story. I walked into a tea shop – a major chain – and noticed all the teas listed where they came from. I asked a couple of people at the counter where the green tea came from. "Oh, different countries around the world, where all the good green tea comes from". Not one mention of Japan. They knew, and it appears the corporate line is to not mention Japan.

It's not a matter of 'awakening' people. Either they are led to ask, or they're not. When their families all start to be affected by the rad sickness, and no health care to speak of, then they'll start to ask questions. And they aren't going…

Ive seen a doctor with cancer take his denial and stubborn beliefs to the grave. There is something about the brain of humans, its not quite right. The hoped for mass awakening is highly unlikely, because the disasters are all around us, from incredible increases in autism, cancer and iatrogenic morbidity to banks, wars and you name it…..still, most people consider you a nut if you open your mouth about it. Tokyo is already contaminated. The next level will be death, then its too late for awakening

More important than ever to check LABELS and if the info is not there, to pass it up. If the answer is as evasive as described, it is probably from Japan and must be avoided.

No kidding! We walked into Whole Foods (you know, "the health food store") the other day and asked where their fish and seaweed comes from to make their sushi, and without blinking an eye, they said "Japan." There is NO PROECTION HERE EITHER and that is by DESIGN. It is so so so wrong.

USA now imports more food from Japan than any other country. This, only after Fukushima. Hillary Clinton was the driving force behind this. A lot of countries ban food from Japan. The USA is making up for those restrictions and test NONE of it. Fuku is a direct nuclear war and attack on North America, as well as Japan, but USA is the main target. It's another form of gun control. Our guns will do us no good when we are dead, dying, and to weak from radiation poisoning to make a stand. A healthy armed America is the biggest setback to the NWO. The element so baddly missing? An informed America. Sheople that can't be bothered, too busy being entertained.

What the people THERE need to understand, and also what the people HERE need to understand, is that "dilution" and "dissipation" of radionuclides are myths. It's more like BIO-ACCUMULATION (it stays and accumulates) and BIO-MAGNIFICATION (it gets WORSE going up the food chain), and also that the genetic damage INCREASES generation after generation. To have NO public education on the most basic dangers is in itself alarming.

We need a worldwide consortium made up of experts in the field to start brainstorming solutions to what is happening in Fukushima and what can be done to FIX it. We need them NOW. Each country will also need to commit funds to this effort, since it is and will continue to affect the entire planet. The consequences could be the extinction of all life on earth. It is past time to do this. Japan is calling for help and they can not handle it alone.
