Masayuki Ono, TEPCO’s acting nuclear power chief:

The situation where radioactive material is leaking in a way that is out of control is unforgivable.

And a very significant problem.

It’s a task we need to set as our highest priority.

    Yes..it is unforgiveable.
    TEPCO bows.
    Heart bows.

    Now what?

Well, it's like a square dance. They bow to their left, they bow to their right, then circle round and round….

That is right unforgivable. All responsible for these crimes must be arrested and sentenced to work at Fukushima Daiichi forever.

That is the coward's way out. They should face their punishment which should be a life sentence of cleaning up at the disaster site with their entire family in tow with them. That will show others that this will not be tolerated. Also all of their savings should be given to the disaster victims.

      • m a x l i

I couldn't agree more, but would leave the "family" out of it. Children are not responsible for the deeds of their parents.

  • OMG! The kids 🙁 Why?

Watch the video. It's very sad to me.

Children digging in the sand and playing in the waves.

Have these people not heard of being cautious first.

What they are proving is that they are idiotic risk takers who don't mind putting children in harms way.

The only logical thing I can think of is that they really feel it's all over so why not go to the beach. (?)

  • We Not They Finally

WHAT'S "unforgiveable"? WHO'S "unforgiveable"? Does that mean that they are finally turning themselves in? (Fat chance.)

  • W8R W8R

    Hello,
    "It is unforgivable"
    No.. It is criminal.
Over time Tepco will outdo every killer in history
When the radiation kills the plankton, it will be a
life changing event for all oxygen breathing life on
    earth.
    It is beyond criminal.
    They KNEW..
They knew they had 3 meltdowns, full on containment failure,
and radioactive contamination exiting the site in enormous
    amounts.
But everyone knew.. From the start. No one did anything.
    The whole world ignored it..
They wont ignore it much longer..
I still contend it HAD to be intentional..
Everyone with a basic understanding of nuclear science
could read it in Tepco's own press releases.
Surely those with the power to do something knew.
Yet nothing was done. Stuxnet may have started it
    but NOTHING is stopping it.
Its still burning, cooking up death, spewing untold isotopes
    to unknown places.
    Now they say "unforgivable"
    Indeed…

    • dharmasyd dharmasyd

Yes W8R. They knew from the start. Most of us here knew from the start. We did what we could. Those in positions of power chose not to do anything about it.

Michio Kaku said many times on national TV during the first couple of weeks that the whole thing should be entombed in concrete immediately. For the life of me, I cannot understand what kind of magical thinking the "experts" were using.

  • timemachine2020 timemachine2020

  • SoulM

We need the whole world to step up on Fukushima! We need a worldwide consortium made up of experts in the field to start brainstorming solutions to what is happening in Fukushima. We need them now. Each country will also need to commit funds to this effort, since it is and will continue to affect the entire planet. Is there any action that we can take to get something like this moving? I am thinking people like Arnie Gundersen, Helen Caldicott, Naoto Kan, hell even Michio Kaku types, but from many countries. Not having too many (if any) politicians and nuke industry people would be a good idea…

    http://tinyurl.com/TepcoSorry

    • We Not They Finally

Yes, SoulM, that has always been true. But with IAEA, WHO and UNSCEAR fully in the pocket of the nuclear cabal, and most major universities disgracefully corrupted and paid off with grants, it might take dissembling the whole international power structure to do it. On the other hand, they may go in that direction SECRETLY, because suddenly they are VERY PANICKED.

And the recent earthquake which COINCIDED with the 50-fold radiation spikes had nothing to do with it? (Seismic data gets downplayed too. "A strong 6," as they said, might have well been a "mid-7" at least.) Not possible to believe! So it looks like a recently precipitated major shift. And maybe they think that they cannot NOT ACT AT ALL when drastic effects might be obvious now at a way quicker rate.

Helen Caldicott organized a symposium in NY this past March, and WAY more like that needs to happen. But the attendance and tune-ins were low because the MSM was nowhere near there yet. However, if the radiation spikes are really 50-fold and rising, the rising death toll alone may be more difficult to conceal.

Hard to predict exactly what people this evil will do. It depends what THEY (not the rest of us) think they have at stake. For all we know, if they DO meet, it will be to strategize about managing military dictatorships, or how to manipulate the financial markets to minimize losses for THEM.

  • obewanspeaks obewanspeaks

    SoulM,
Only in a dream, since none of these experts want to die!

None of them will ever go and/or show-up at this Nuclear Meltdown complex.

Have you ever seen a policeman not shoot someone that threatens him with a knife, car, cell phone and or stick while he is on duty?

Why do these policeman always shoot first.. at everyone?

They are "scared shitless" for their own safety and they do not want to die.

The nuclear experts know this is a numbers game and not everyone will get cancer from this ongoing disaster but if they show up/get near and/or place themselves in harms way/danger then their odds of dying from cancer/disease skyrockets!

They are too smart to go and solve this problem and that is why Japan is on their own..

    Sad but true!

    • SoulM

obewan, They don't necessarily have to go there. I am talking about a solid knowledgeable group of people who can propose solutions (and funding) that Tepco can not envision. There are many throwing ideas out that might help but it needs organization and the clout to do it. Tepco's and Japan's ideas so far are such fail. It is long past time to deal with this disaster…

Do you have a better idea? I really want my grandkids to have a healthy world to grow up in :/

      http://tinyurl.com/TepcoSry

      • We Not They Finally

Yes. OBVIOUSLY they don't have to travel to the site itself. In fact, traveling to the site itself may have NOTHING to do with proposing solutions. (obewan, why would you even think that?) But even committed activists have been running out of ideas with this. It's a raging monster with no master.

  • got air got air

been reading this site for some time now just want to say thank you to all here for the great imfo i cant seem to find any were else. since the beginning of this disaster i thought there should be a world wide nuke dept that would go in in take over operation. till it was made safe. or if not able to make safe have a rehab shut down plan for each site on earth. like a fire dept or hotshots or hazmat dept. people trained and ready to go at a moments notice for worse case like this.

    • We Not They Finally

You're well-meaning and sincere, and please, stick around! But what you propose will never happen. The intl nuclear cabal is WAY corrupted and WAY consolidated. WHO says "no danger to health"; the IAEA minimizes drastically; UNSCEAR (the U.N. radiation org) practically writes it off. It's beyond disgraceful but that is what we have had.

The U.S. is hardly poised to protect us either. The EPA just astronomically RAISED the level of so-called "acceptable radiation." Like now it is "safe" for a farmer to have in his soil 800% the amount of plutonium needed to KILL him.

It's very desperate, and the powers-that-be have NO CALLING WHATSOEVER to suddenly turn into humanitarians. But since now the Japanese are finally OVERTLY PANICKING, we need to closely monitor what they do. Fix it they apparently CANNOT do, especially in the face of new major re-criticalities. But politically and financially, life could be made unbearable for people, ON TOP OF the escalating radiation.

  • Anthony Anthony

Calling it unforgivable is different than saying sorry or owning it enough to care enough to do something about it.

  • got air got air

i think its kept in 2ed place. so they can say 1st place didn't do to much damage. no need to worry to much about 2ed place. ive even had thoughts about it leaving our atmosphere and doing dna to the solar system. besides the oceans air & land 70 years of it floating around in the early years they did not even contain it. barrels in the sea no biggie at the time. seen the prez at his global warming speech sweating his balls off. with a micro millisec about 2 new to be. in the south somewhere no mention of broken 4 ise no change coming

  • obewanspeaks obewanspeaks

The only idea that I have is..

That we humans and mankind had better shut down and outlaw all Nuclear Power Generation/Energy immediately worldwide.

Unless we do this pronto, more of what you see now going on in Fukushima, Japan today, "will start happening" all over the world. This is fact!

This is not make believe and this is a real threat to all l biological life residing on this planet.

If we as humans can not stop these (3) Fukushima Nuclear Meltdowns then there is no way we will be able to stop the projected ones (Nuclear Meltdowns) that are now factually and statistically in the pipeline.

Here.. I really want to put this entire Nuclear Energy matter into perspective for you and others.

I will give you a link to a GE hybrid water heater warranty. Read this document very carefully. This warranty is dealing with (propane and water) and you will not get more than a 10 year warranty maybe tops 12 years. These nuclear boys and girls are asking for and getting extensions for operating these Nuclear Power Plants to 80 years? The original plant designs were for a 30 to 40 year operational max lifetime operation. We are dealing with splitting atoms, pipes and water!

If in the year 2013 we can't get an 80 year warranty on a simple hot water tank, then we are all in big big trouble! Pack your bags quickly and move away from any area where you are near or downwind/stream from one of these Nuclear plants!

Hopefully you now understand why so many people around here on this site are so urgent and that if this technology is not stopped now.. in its tracks…we (all of us) will soon be Exterminated!

Its truly now a numbers game and are you feeling lucky?
