SFP No. 4 heat exchanger restarts

From TEPCO’s regular press conference at 6PM, April 13, 2012.

The heat exchanger for the Reactor 4 Spent Fuel Pool restarted at 4:04PM.

Temperature as of 5PM was 37.6 degrees Celsius on the water surface. [...]

Photos of SFP No. 3 released

  • Photo No.1 (upper left) was taken from the surface of the water. Matsumoto says the fuel racks are underneath the debris.
  • Photos No.2 (upper right), No.3-1 (lower left), No.3-2 (lower right) shows the pool at 7 meters from the surface.
  • Photos No.2, No.3-1 and No.3-2 were taken from the cask space.
  • Photo No.3-1 shows the fuel rack, and the fuel handles. Photo No.3-2 is a blow-up of No.3-1.

A video of SFP No. 3 is to be released next week.

More from Tepco: “It was the Reactor 1 dry well temperature that started to rise noticeably starting 4AM on April 13, 2012.”

Where is the video of them walking up to the #3 spent fuel pool, and then looking down into it? How did they even get there? I thought they said it was too radioactive to even send people close to it? I have not seen any pictures or videos of ANYONE cooling or spraying water on #3, period, after the HUGE explosion.

Now somehow, the reactor and spent fuel pool are there, being cooled down with water, and it all sounds normal, just like 1-6. They also claim ONLY a hydrogen explosion happened here, just like all of the other buildings… A few people would beg to differ on that one as well…

I can take fake pictures of all kinds of things..

I'm reasonably sure that the camera was lowered into the #3 pool by crane.

Looks like it was the #3 reactor that blew after all.

My big problem with the theory that reactor3 blew up instead of SFP3 is that the 1000mm thick block of heavily reinforced ferroconcrete that is edged in 30mm steel and weighs 1200000kg and also has a 200000kg steel crane resting on it is still in place.
I know that there are a few leaks around it but they are NOT air tight, only direct radiation tight.
For the amount of gas that left the building during the explosion to come from the reactor then I would like someone to show me the hole where it escaped, and we are talking about a 20 to 40 square meter hole, at least. any smaller and the escape of steam itself would have destroyed the whole building not just the top half.
If you think this is a weird theory then look at the damage done to the 2000000kg biological shield at the Chernobyl reactor4.
