From TEPCO Presser on May 12 Part 3: “Probably the Same Situation in Reactors 2 and 3″, EX-SKF, May 13, 2011:
The water gauges for the Reactors 2 and 3 are not to be trusted, said TEPCO’s Matsumoto in the press conference on May 12 (I watched the live-recorded video) when the company officially acknowledged the meltdown of the Reactor 1. [...]
About the water gauges for the Reactors 2 and 3:
“They are probably in the same condition as that of the Reactor 1. The numbers the gauges are currently showing are not very trustworthy. We need to monitor carefully with other parameters like pressure.”

I don’t know this workers name, but he is a BIG HERO, a fallen hero, a hero on par with the fire fighters of 9/11 at the World Trade Centers. I told everybody at enenews.com (a site that looks for articles about the Fukushima Crisis and posts links to them there).
Thank you for reporting about this man’s sacrifice for me and my family.

Brother, I agree! Old Testament Book of Daniel 12:4 & 12:8-10!!! As one might surmise when literal “Hell” and “Evil” are given authority for a short time – the first ones that will be eradicated (taken out of the way) will be those whom God has given Spiritual Wisdom and Knowledge to guide others to the Truth. This is not an epic myth. It is the epic Truth. You are correct ZombiePlanet – this is final “time”. Jesus said: “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man.” No one listened to Noah while he built the ark but everyone wanted into the ark when the rain fell and flood waters rose – but the Bible says clearly: “And GOD closed him (Noah and every living thing in the ark) in”. GOD Himself closed the door. Consider Matthew 24:27 Jesus says: “For as the lightening cometh out of the EAST, and shineth even unto the WEST; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be”. Possibly EAST = Eastern Hemisphere (Japan) & WEST = Western Hemisphere (North, South America, Europe, Etc.) Just a thought. Peace to you and everyone.

In the spirit of the “Fairness Doctrine”:
“Christianity: The belief that a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.” quote from a poster at The Guardian newspaper
Reverse engineering this man-made disaster into a predetermined biblical prediction is typically absurd and delusional… and expected. Neither the fetid imaginings of revelations let alone the money-whoring insanity of Tim LaHaye “predicted” a scenario that would affect absolutely everybody/every living thing with the same eventual DNA death sentence. Gone now are the vengeful rapture fantasies that will only smite the “unbelievers” that the appropriately monikered (and snotty a-hole) Zombie Planet “alludes” to. I’m sorry to offend the other christian posters here that seem to find comfort in appealing (aka praying, or as I call it- begging) to the same god who allowed this catastrophe to occur to somehow spare them a shared fate as the rest of this doomed planets inhabitants will suffer. Good luck with that. I too hope for a “miracle”, but have no illusions/delusions that it will be supernatural. It will have to be superhuman ‘tho. They came close in Chernobyl, for a time. And it wasn’t a team of 400 and 100 year old men and women who pulled it off. Noah. Giants. Lucifer. Bullshit.

SERVING people. There never was much of a chance in this case but we can still “Hope”. I’ll admit that I don’t know why God would allow such a catastrophe to take place. Maybe it’s because He knows that we are only “travelers” here for a short time in the sense of eternity and that in reality any “Goodbye” is in truth a “See you tomorrow”. Supernatural things are just natural things we just don’t understand yet.

yes, I worry for my atheist friends. They always try to analyze everything away to a finite, tangible point-they must have a linear reality where Man is in control. But, as we see in this man-made situation, all the best literal thinking and analysis only leads you where? To the abyss..for whom the bell tolls…
It’s never too late.

To be clear- I don’t identify as an athiest. I simply don’t believe in nonsense. Try making that into a “religion”/alternate “belief” system. I was hip years ago to the eventual hijacking of the term “athiest” to be used for christianist objectives. What I am is human; no other label applies. And I’ve had my fill of cafeteria christians who claim absolute belief in the partitioning of the bible parts that fit their personal human constructs, while dodging off the parts that are so blatently ridiculous as not “literal”. You can’t have it both ways! Try this:
yes I worry for my christianist friends. They always try to fantasize everything away to a infinite, intangible point- they must have a non-linear un-reality where Man is never in control. But, as we see in this man-made situation, all the worst non-literal thinking and non-analysis only leads you to where? To the abyss…for whom the bell tolls… This isn’t a bad time to examine your rational side! It’s never too late!!!
This site is valuable most especially because of its fact based, yes, analysis. The antisocial opportunism of abusing a “captive audience” forum- people who are desperately trying to obtain real life information regarding a real life catastrophe- to sidetrack the discussion into “faith” based “rationale” is giving your faith a bad name. Oh, I believe in a Grand Architect, but I don’t believe in milk-weeping statues, or a 6,000 year old earth, or book upon book of like hooey. If the Creator’s distinctive gift to man was reason, why does religion require you to stomp on that and tear it up right away? If you, as a father, gave your child a car, so they could experience freedom – what would you think if they decided to wreck and burn it right away as a demonstration of their love for you?

Lots of people assume that God/The Creator is omniscient, and can foresee everything. So if something bad happens, they wonder how could this omniscient being let it happen? They think that:
“infinite knowledge” = “nothing unforeseen can happen”
But consider that this creator is creating stuff in an infinitely complex “universe”, and do a little more math:
“infinite knowledge” / “infinite complexity”
And you’re left with trial and error, or an evolutionary process. And we’re currently in a really big error phase.
“organized religion” “the Creator”
Organized religion is a political organization that derives its power by convincing people their messages come directly from the Creator. And maybe they do sometimes. But I have a hard time believing they don’t make stuff up, and twist things around, when it suits their agenda.

ashen – Everyone understands the world in their own way. And if something conflicts with that understanding, they’ll either:
a) Search for a way to resolve the conflict, if they’re sufficiently motivated.
b) Reject the idea, because it conflicts with their current understanding, and they don’t see how it could be true. (and they could be right)
c) Something else I haven’t thought of.
Sometimes a person will switch from b to a, if they have some sort of epiphany, or whatever you want to call it. But it’s really hard to know just what part of their understanding conflicts. So it’s really difficult to convince people of things that seem like nonsense to them.
There were a lot of things I used to think were nonsense. But every now and then, I’d flip something around, and it would open up a whole new set of possibilities. One big one for me was realizing that it wasn’t “physical matter” that creates consciousness. It’s mind boggling trying to understand how that could happen. And if you don’t believe me, just think about it for a while. But once I realized it was consciousness that “imagines physical matter”, sort of like what happens in a dream that feels very real, lots of things started making sense. But without that, I’d have a really hard time believing a lot of what I do now. And maybe someday I’ll realize something else, and my whole view will change again.

…If an entity came and said.
“Heart, you are going to step in dog doo-doo at 12 noon tomorrow”..when 12 noon came the next day would I try to step around it?
And so it is with prophecy..it’s a warning.

I think of prophecies as warnings too. It’s like someone sees a bus coming down the road, and they’re telling you you’re probably going to get run over, if you just stand there.
And the prophets are only the messengers, and sometimes the messages don’t get accurately communicated. And lots of people interpret their messages as “this is what’s going to happen”, instead of “this is where we’re heading, if we don’t change directions”.

The Fukushima Event, Cloud Formation & Extreme Weather
Further evidence that ionized molecules from Fukushima form surfaces to aggregate water vapour leading to cloud formation.
The following quote from “Evidence That Cosmic Rays Seed Clouds” helps understand Fukushima’s effect on weather
by Edwin Cartlidge
Published Fri May 13 11:11 “Before it’s news”
“Building clouds: The latest experiment provides evidence for a major component of this theory – how ionization enhances cloud formation. To be converted into droplets and form clouds, water vapour in the Earth’s atmosphere needs some kind of surface on which to condense, and this is usually provided by tiny solid or liquid particles already present in the atmosphere, including aircraft emissions. Svensmark’s theory suggests that cosmic rays can enhance this process by ionizing molecules in the atmosphere that then draw molecules of water vapour to them until the aggregate is large enough to act as a condensing surface.”
The intensely charged ionized particles being ejected by the Fukushima nuclear volcano act as nuclei, forming the basis for massive cloud formation in the Northern Hemisphere. Such changes, explain in part the density and size of several large storm systems which have formed post 311.
After 311 we have seen massive outbreaks of tornadoes, including over the ocean as water spouts, powerful electrical storms and massive flooding along Old Miss, breaking all historic records. Reports of abnormal levels of rainfall and unusually heavy and lingering cloud formations continue.
Just as with Chernobyl, the discharge from Fukushima will continue way beyond the lifetime of any now living. I expect the world weather to have been permanently and continually altered by Fukushima’s massive ejection of charged ionized particles into the atmosphere. Add to this the current migration of the magnetic poles and you have the possibility for really extreme weather.
I expect especially violent flooding and storms to continue through 2011 and 2012 due to additional tidal and gravitation forces present, due to planetary alignment.
I am making preparations for additional tie down anchors around my home and bringing generators on line for emergency use.
I know I am preaching to the choir of the prepared. But perhaps there are those who are new to this site who may benefit from this info.

I was hoping that I would wake up and all of this would just be a bad dream. Seeing that it is not, I am jotting down below things that helped us get through Chernobyl fallout for 3 years and what I learned. I’ll keep it short. i’ve tossed in some other tidbits too.
There is a lot of info on the web.
-Canned beans vs dry legumes. Canned cooked beans don’t require energy which could come in handy if you don’t have power. They store for a few years. Caloric content but it is dead food. Dry beans can be sprouted for increased nutrition and then cooked and still retain that spouting enzymatic benefit. Dry legumes can be stored for years. Beans- good protein. Mix beans and brown rice to get a well rounded protein without eating meat.
-Have a non-electric can opener. Have 2 actually in case one breaks.
-Honey vs sugar. Honey is higher in nutritional value. I like raw. Glass containers are better as you can warm up hardened honey in hot water. Plastic containers leach chemicals. If you can’t get honey in glass then get plastic. Something is better than nothing.
Babies and honey. Advised to not be used. Do your own research. I just googled and added this link:
http://www.babycenter.com/408_when-can-my-baby-eat-honey_1368490.bc
You can substitute honey for sugar in baking. Just decrease fluid used:
http://www.ehow.com/how_4885188_substitute-honey-sugar-baking.html
-Canned fruit vs dried. Dried can be lighter to move. Canned has fluid in it that can be used in other ways. Emotionally, canned fruit would be nice to have. It has calories/sugar and can be put on top of grain cereals that have been sprouted.
-If you can get your canned tomatoes in glass. Tomatoes eat away at the inside of cans. Maybe just by buy bland tomato sauce in bottles that you can spice up how you want.
-Make your own yogurt. I made mine from powdered milk mixed with water, a bit of sugar and added a spoon full of live yogurt to start the culture. I warmed it up to a certain degree (not too hot or you will kill it. Use a thermometer.) and then I covered it and put it in the oven under the pilot light overnight. I added olive oil after it was made to get more calories, make it richer and to get good fats into my kids.
Here is a link I found:
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Yogurt
-Grain grinders are good to have. Electric and hand.
-Rice. Brown rice goes off fast (a few months). Of course, it is the best for us. Must use within a year. White rice can go off fast too. Best to keep it cool and in an airtight container. White is more or less just calories.
-Things with fats go off within a year.
-White flour will go off in a year.
-Better to store grain and grind and sprout as needed.
-If you don’t have a Food Saver you can buy a roll of vegetable bags that you use in the grocery store in the veggie fruit area. I stored powdered milk for years this way. I put dried milk (2 pounds per bag), squeeze out the air and tied off. Can double bag to make it more sturdy. Toss in freezer if you have room. it is mouldable to nooks and crannies. If you ever have to move and need to sell food storage you have it already weighed. Put the cost per bag on it as you make them so you have that info.
-Stock up on supplements. Swansons.com is excellent.
-Buy pectin in bulk. Cheaper and you can add to a smoothie or yogurt and can also add a pinch of charcoal for extra binding.
-Get soil and peat moss and vermiculite now while you can still get uncontaminated soil that has been sealed in plastic. Even if you don’t use it right away at least you have it.
-72 hour kits need to be changed out at least every year to refresh food/meds and to update what your kids might need or yourself and also for the SEASON. Earplugs and sleeping eye masks are good in case one ends up in a shelter and wants to sleep good. Our pineal gland needs darkness to produce melatonin so we can sleep well. Kids can have those wax ear buttons from CVS to block out sound safely.
It’s always nice to have chocolate or a treat in your 72 hour kit for emotional reasons. Have written down info and addresses that you might lose if you lose power. Have copies of important papers like insurance policies etc. Rescue Remedy drops from the health food store is very safe, even for babies, to help calm. Don’t put in salty foods to eat for snacks or meals as you will cut through your water too fast. Solar powered radios are awesome and cheap. Panty liners keeps every one’s underwear cleaner for longer. You may not have washing facilities for a while. Put your meds in, extra reading glasses. Women, don’t forget tampons. Men, don’t forget ammo. haha Just had to add some humor.
-Keep you cars tanked up. When the power goes down so do the gas stations. You may be syphoning that gas out for generators too.
-First aid kits- always good to have a good one. Make sure you put Arnica Montana 30c,homeopathic remedy, in it as it treats shock, bleeding, trauma, swelling, flashbacks. For real.
Have Oscillococcinum Flu Remedy as a no brainer in case the flu breaks out.
I have many more pointers on first aid but, at least, have those two items among the routine first aid contents.
-Not sure what to grow? How about Microgreens? I have done research and the LED lights look like a good way to go. Cool, non toxic and cheap to run. Depending on what you want to grow will help you choose what color lights you need. Yellow and orange spectrum, from what I understand, are useless so avoid that deal. I found a company that looks interesting and would have a solution that everyone can use for indoor growing. I will put that in another entry later today.

And besides, all news have been said already, it couldn’t get worse with 3 reactors melted and No4 with spent fuel slowly starting it’s travel into mother earth. It could only get worse in terms of timetable, if some of these blobs meet water table and explode, this will release vast amounts of radioactivity momentously, but it could only correct the shedule, all this goodness is destined to environment now inevitably.

“Too big to FAIL”, (You will be suject to new rules ) A big contributor to Global Economy and chain of manufacture of goods worldwide. The rest of the world will suffer their fate in many steps along the way, will you except new limits on radiation from Japan to support the manufacturing economy of Japan ? The world Gov. may force it on you ! Watch for allowable limits to follow already changing even in food in nations to save industries.

Japan, like all countries, is on its own in terms of delivering its future. At the moment, Japan owes the world, and certainly itself, full attention on resolving the catastrophe developed in their hands. I am not trying to be cruel, but “cry me a river“ keeps coming up for me when I read and consider their manipulations and other reputation management concerns, it seems inappropriately out of step with the disaster unfolding before us all. Besides, what does Japan really think – they have created the worst disaster most of us can ever remember and potentially RUINED a whole ocean. IF Japan survives they should work on restoring their global reputation then – but at the moment it comes across as insensitive in the extreme as they put their finances blatantly ahead of my health.

Makes one Wonder if enough of these releases entering the earths atmosphere/earth will come to a point that the whole earth will become part of the fission process reaction !?

Now that`s a scary thought! In my basic grasp of radiation it seems like radiation alters everything it comes into contact with right? I think the clouds might teach us a lot about radiation somehow. I remember the first week of the disaster and I asked a friend on a walk if she saw what I was seeing – everything looked surreal around us, she confirmed that everything, in the bright sunlight that morning, appeared to almost have a halo effect around it. Be it a bolder or the ocean horizon – everything appeared to be almost glistening. We also very randomly came across a dead as a doorknob beaver lying randomly on the ocean beach…. strangely out of place and very dead… while there were scavenging birds of all kinds there, not a nibble. So weird that morning…

What is also scary… the Mississippi is flooding and the Corp. of Engineers and FEMA are in charge.
There is a complete media black out n there so ..you WILL NOT hear how the evacuation really went.

And on top of the flood being full of chemicals it is also radioactive.
Today I saw something I have never seen “our” squirrels do. One got into the fire pit and started nibbling charcoal made from burnt wood. Natural intelligence.

Although the rate has slowed, the contamination and cleaning up bring high social and economic costs.
The news of unit 1 being melted down was bad news that most of us expected, and the newly identified leaks and ground/water contamination are bad news on top of that. But there was a small be very significant amount of good news. The relatively cool temperatures at the bottoms of the reactor vessel and containment not only mean that most of the fuel melted and fell, but they mean it is NOT critical. In that cooler state it still takes a great deal of cooling. Approximately 2 million Watts worth of heat has to be drawn away to avoid high temperatures. That is a large number, but the heat produced by the fuel when critical in normal operation was over a billion Watts (The electrical output was about 800 million, but the conversion isn’t 100% efficient, even more waste heat had to be drawn away during normal operation using large amounts of seawater through heat exchangers.
So the unit number 1 condition is really very good news, that the fuel isn’t going to melt down into the earth. It’s good in the sense that it could have been much worse. With the leaks, continued cooling will be messy. There’s high radiation under everything from the water. The other two units are just as messy it seems. Hopefully they won’t melt down into the earth. The risk of that is highest in unit 3 because MOX fuel is more sensitive to neutrons making it harder to control.
I believe the catalytic action of zirconium cladding to produce explosive hydrogen occurs only when it is at high temperatures. So it is very very important that the units 2 and 3 and all ponds have the temperatures brought down if they’re not already, and kept down. More hydrogen explosions or fires would bring more very high release levels as we saw in March. The current release levels while still horrific, are much lower than in March.
Report Comment
Maybe the fact that the steel-made vessel of the reactor 1 is not that hot just means that the fuel is not there anymore?

thanks dbug, and I hope your are right, at least you seem to have some knowledge on this, most of us have learned nuclear and radiation during past 2 months. In any case, I just take it into account, as this event has teached me to not believe anybody but own built-in lie detector.

I hope you are right. What you are saying is Reactor 1 can be still highly radioactive but out of danger of a huge energy event? Would the lower temps possibly suggest the blob has already sunk through? I like your assessment better of course!

Did anyone catch the Weather Channel yesterday morning with Al Roker and Stephanie Abrams? All day, one of the top #5 videos of the day,..was of a “Lightening storm” (Texas)–It hit one power transformer and SET off about 20 others,..all with different coloured light shows! Blues, oranges, yellows, green, back to THAT blue,…..Al Roker’s face was, blown away! He said he had NEVER even HEARD of anything like this before–and he had NO IDEA what was in the atmosphere that changed things!

Whoa guys, that should be an impossible event to happen with breakers on each side of each transformer ! Seen this during Hurricane Charley in Fl. but there was high winds and rain to short systems and jumps, many colors then too !
Is it possible the atmospheric conditions are being restructured !

This site is a good source of info, but we are missing so many pieces ie. How much radiation is being leaked into the atmosphere and water and where will it travel? It’s really hard to make any judgement on the severity of the situation – sounds bad, but is it? This is completely maddening – I keep looking for answers and find none!

Maybe you’re looking in the wrong place? Listen carefully to your own intuition/instincts/whatever you want to call it. If you wait for all the data to come in before you act, you may be correct. But you may also be too late.

The top of nuclear lava “pile” that has formed on the secondary containment concrete floor is being cooled by the water. However, that forms a thick skin which insulates the interior of that pile which can therefore be several thousand degrees. Like this it is in the midst of eating its way through the six feet thick concrete floor and into the ground and water table below.
No good news here I am sorry to say. Like this I keep recalling the following information seen in early March of 2011. Even back then folks in the inner circle knew how this puppy would play-out.
http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1413890/pg13#23292628
“Here’s the scenario, folks.
You have a nuclear disaster in Japan, the US military has evacuated 20,000 people, and is considering a forced evacuation of another 100,000. The only reason they haven’t left is because of the strategic value.
There have been many reports in the past week (17-24 March 2011) of a meltdown. It doesn’t matter which reactor, only one needs to go that way. If they could have entombed it, they would have. They have known since the beginning it was a lost cause.
Radiation is up in Japan, the crops and water are already tainted as evidenced by the growing list of countries banning their imports.
Even if you could evacuate everyone, where would you put them? Who would feed and house them? Who would pay for the transportation? No one wants 100 million scared, panicked and potentially sick people on their shores, especially when the Japanese government is in collapse.
Which ones do you evacuate and which ones do you sentence to death?
It’s obvious what is happening, even if no one else wants to connect the dots. There is a reason why the Internet has been shut down and why only happy news is coming from the Japanese government. The only doom news we are getting is from other countries. There is no way to evacuate those people, and no where to evacuate them to. The world’s governments are not revealing this information because it is likely that their own people will demand that “something” be done.
Nothing can be done.
The area surrounding the planet is fried. Now that containment has been breached, it will be a short time before all the water, and all the food is contaminated. Never mind the huge amount of devastation from the earthquake and tsunami.
All those people are going to die — either from the radiation, or the subsequent starvation. Japan imports the vast majority of their food. Without buyers for their [now toxic] goods, their economy will collapse. With no economy, they have no way of buying from other countries.
It’s over. Japan will be a wasteland within a year.”
Report Comment
No, they have a lot of T-bills they can redeem. The Japanese government could buy up about 8 million vacant and foreclosed homes in the US and send over their retirees who have incomes. That would clear out about 20 million of them. Of course the Mexicans might conclude that to be welcome in the US, they need to have a reactor accident and trash Mexico.

I’m not sure how much good all those T-bills are, considering the debtor is bankrupt.

I agree with how you see things there – I mean how much radioactive poison can a person endure? It is in their air, water, food, surroundings – it just doesn’t seem plausible that Japan can just sit this one out and be alive on the other side.
As far as relocating them – if we keep our minds open they could feasibly be housed elsewhere. We would have to not let our politics get in the way of our humanity to accomplish it though. You would think if the tables were reversed that someone somewhere would open their doors and let a neighbor wait out the storm.
