“The TEPCO spokesman, asked to quantify the leak, announced TEPCO’s adoption of the new International Banana Scale or IBS. And on that scale, the radiation at the Reactor 2 vessel was measured at 22 Bananas/sec.”

  • For a long time I worked in the CTBTO group at Lawrence Livermore Lab. I can’t thank you enough for this website. Its one of very few places that are carrying information and not spin.

I wanted to share a resource that could be helpful, its called Humans Without Borders: http://www.21stcenturymed.org/hwb.html
It contains pictures, film and text on self help acupressure instruction that originates from Japan actually, called Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help. I studied used this when I became ill while a researcher at UC Berkeley, and then became a practitioner and self help instructor, later working with bone marrow cancer patients (they receive a LOT of radiation and chemo) at the ICU at Stanford Hospital and also with organ transplant folks, using these acupressure methods, with VERY remarkable results. (here is a youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxlyjWzhO5E)

These methods originate in India, moved to China then to Japan, and it came to the US from Japan. It is a gift brought to the US from Japan by 3 Japanese Americans. I spent a lot of money and time learning these methods. But because it belongs to the world, and not just rich people, I put together some of the self help materials for classes and then put them on the web. I also made some films, some of which are on the website. There are some recipes for helping with removing toxins, coping with radiation.

Very simply, to help the kidney, liver and spleen, you hold “opposite fingers and toes”
the liver, kidney and spleen are the big cleaners in the body.
Hold Right thumb Left little toe.
Right index finger Left ring toe
Right middle finger Left middle toe
Right ring finger Left index toe
Right little finger Left big toe

    Repeat on the other side.

A good general resource on touch for anyone is http://www.21stcenturymed.org

Thanks again for your independent journalism.

  • They are going about this all wrong… there are solutions in hydrogen that would clean up this planet. Why don’t we as regular people go out and implement these solutions? If you really care about the Earth… our website offers how-tos on things we humans should be doing.

Or, you’d think we could at least switch to efficient lightbulbs… Or take a bus once a month or shop for local farmer’s market produce once a week? Geez. Something. Anything.

Many people haven’t a clue on being frugal.
I get 85 MPG on my M/C for 7 years, but from Mom&Pops when possible.
I have fun being efficient !

Efficient lightbulbs for 6 years now !
