I really hope this is the beginning of the end of nuclear proliferation. It's nice to see Arnie championing this issue. I've really enjoyed watching and listening to him discuss these issues. Shut em down!

Yeah,…I know, there's a critic in every crowd,…BUT,…I sure wish he would have answered her question about why San Onfre is one of the two worst? He never even mentioned their 'safety record', or failure there of. She CLEARLY asked why San Onfre was worse? He said it was only worse because it has 8 million people near it. She then says, "Oh, so it's a problem to evacuate IF there ever WERE a problem".
I hope he was just nervous! He blew a BIG important answer-imo.
Sorry Arnie,…you still moved the ball a little,…I hope!

He has to be careful, so he doesn't end up like Matt Simmons from the BP gulf oil spill.

The people want that radiation plant to be decommissioned. Governor Jerry Brown, you know what to do.

Go, Arnie!
The momentum to shut San Onofre down permanently is building, thanks to good souls like Arne Gunderson! Yet another city near San Onofre, Solano Beach, is considering writing a letter of protest to the NRC to insure that San Onofre is not relicensed (nor should it be restarted!) Read the article that accompanied this video interview:

Irvine officials voted to send the NRC just such a letter earlier this week. Way to go, Irvine! Smart folks. Irvine is a very wealthy, well-planned modern city with an excellent school system whose city council members now realize that living in the shadow of an aging, problem-ridden ticking radioactive time bomb like San Onofre is just NOT good for business, or other living things…like its children and its adult residents.
Ok, whose next? Can't wait to hear! Keep it up, So. Cal.! You are setting an outstanding example for other U.S. cities to hopefully soon follow, in efforts to shutter all these aging death machines.

Oops! Sorry about that, Arnie. I know it's "Arnie" not "Arne." I keep leaving the "i" out of your name.
