[...] The idea is the latest bid by Tokyo to repair a reputation that was badly hit by the quake and tsunami disasters in March 2011 and the subsequent nuclear meltdowns at Fukushima.

The bloggers were chosen on the basis of their online popularity and include Khaled Hamza, who edits the Muslim Brotherhood website in Egypt, and Tunisian pro-democracy activist Slim Amamou, Tokyo’s foreign ministry said Wednesday. [...]

“We are trying to convince foreign tourists to come back to Japan and trade partners to resume imports of Japanese food by showing influential bloggers that Japan is safe,” the official said.

“We have invited foreign journalists from major newspapers and broadcasters, but these bloggers have direct channels to the audience, to whom established media do not necessarily appeal.” [...]

I wondered what would happen when the Muslim terrorists grasp the enormity of the disaster at Fukushima, and how long it would take.

Are they going to blame the Americans, through GE, the French, through Areva, and the Japanese for killing off the human race, which is by far mostly Muslims? Imaging blaming GE for killing all the Christians on the planet. Oh, wait, they did . . .

This ought to be fun. And they gave them the tickets to come? Genius!

I wouldn't advise anyone to go or to believe that it is safe. I've already been exposed to too much radiation. Suicide by starvation doesn't seem like fate that I wish to tempt.

london is hotter than most of japan tonight!! mostly beta with the odd peak to 0.33 mcSv/h.. from my point of view i get a choice between loads of beta or a quick shot of cesium… the uranium is probably as bad in some parts off the uk (up to a thousand sites) so the waste mox rubbish and DU fallout from not very far away, leaves me to advise all londoners to move to southern japan… especially for the olympics as they are going to use the NEW improved refined uranium ammo.. :( to stop large jet liners flying over london!!

other enenews travel advise during the olympics dont use heathrow ;) flying west.. if you know what i mean!! east is good though.. err towards the setting sun lol! ;) maybe a free trip in it too if you play your cards right.. japan has no nuclear power plants and everyone is doing a great job of ignoring the questions posed by the err medical and scientific uses of this EVIL technology, it does mean that they are still using the reactors at the universities etc?? and the coriums are quite?? ?? ?? maybe?? oh yeah food? :(

        ok anne after some consideration

skegness uk it is :) /antinukerant

"Tokyo’s foreign ministry said", "the official said."

Lol, No where in the article does it give any credible references

The media's tricks are as insidious and hidden, as the radioactive fallout, from their revenue generating, radiation spewing, nuclear machines.

And they don't waste any time when it comes to image…

I have come to the conclusion that the local ABC, CBS, and NBC television affiliates' news staff, with the exception of sports and weather casters, are all dishonest by default. They are information soldiers of the new world order. They do what they are told, to keep their jobs. They present the news, but not all of it, and not fairly. They omit nearly everything about Fukushima. They don't report on high-up organized crime and corruption and the efforts of people to fight it, even in their own local area. They run medical advertisements in the guise of news stories. This is just the short list and probably just the tip of the iceberg. All the while they, their bosses, and support people portray themselves as your friendly neighbor news team helping your community. When in reality they are paid stooges willing to sell out their neighbors every single day, are regularly doing so. Standing up for truth costs dearly. But, unrepentant liars go to the lake of fire, eventually. Time and then either God's judgement or God's grace catches up with everyone.

"Established" media is a farce. Just for MSM to credit itself with being "established" to the exclusion of other sources of news is arrogance ….

They also offered a huge grant to a playwright to come to Japan, do research and write a play about it… from the official perspective, of course. Last I heard, I don't think anyone took them up on it.
