Title: Cabinet kept alarming nuke report secret
Source: Kyodo
Date: Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012
Fearful of scaring public, existence of document was denied for months
The government buried a worst-case scenario for the Fukushima nuclear crisis that was drafted last March and kept it under wraps until the end of last year, sources in the administration said Saturday. [...]“The content was so shocking that we decided to treat it as if it didn’t exist,” a senior government official said. [...]
The document forecast that in a worst-case scenario the plant’s crippled reactors would intermittently release massive quantities of radioactive materials for about a year.
The projection was based on a scenario in which a hydrogen explosion would tear through the No. 1 reactor’s containment vessel, forcing all workers at the plant to evacuate because of the ensuing lethal radiation levels. [...]
The Cover-up
- After the document was shown to a small, select group of senior government officials at the prime minister’s office in late March, the administration of then Prime Minister Naoto Kan decided to quietly bury it, the sources said
- In order to deny its existence, the government treated it as a personal document of Japan Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Shunsuke Kondo, who authored it, until the end of December, the sources said

I believe this is exactly what they did. What else do we need to know?
Report Comment
Hello Anthony! Yes. Our time dates are exact also–11:08!
Report Comment
Karma…good karma.
Stay the truth.
Report Comment
Yup, this is what they did and it enabled everyone to ship contamination all over the place before they admitted the worst case scenario was actually the best. They still have not admitted the truth. The Japanese are notorious for hiding the truth but this time they had the approval of the west.
Report Comment
“Fukushima nuke report was so shocking we decided to treat it as if it didn’t exist”
Uh huh
Elephant?
What elephant?
Report Comment
And, a, er, please excuse me, but isn’t this exactly what we’ve been seeing?
…emphasis mine…
Report Comment
And its never the whole truth so I expect there’s more to the story…good thing we fill many of the blanks here huh?
Many things stated by many posters have come to pass for real on these pages. As a person who wants to survive I find the resource invaluable. Warts and all.
Report Comment
My opinion is the whole report is more bogus drek, designed to minimize the extent of the problem(s). My German speaking friends may catch my drift here, as the drek wafts its stench fragrantly across the vast expanses of hyperspace.
The only part of this which rings true is “massive quantities.” Yes, you got that right!
First of all, did anyone beside me note the article’s wording says “intermittent releases over one year” ?? One year assuming what? One year to a phony state of “cold shutdown” ? There will continue to be “intermittently release massive quantitities” until these monsters are brought under control, which may be 20 – 50 years, by Tepco’s own admission.
Also by their own admission, the technology supposedly doesn’t exist to ascertain the actual condition of the reactors and possibly the SPF’s, nor to stop the melted cores from doing whatever they are doing ….
Actually, the real case is worse than their “worst case scenario” (we must assume) because we’re dealing with multiple meltdowns (melt throughs), what appears to be an exploded MOX reactor, a vaporized spent fuel pool, and recurrent burning at SPF #4.
It also appears there was also an accident at Fukushima Daini, and possibly Monju and or Kashiwazaki Kaiwa.
The real “worst case scenario” appears to be far worse than the report’s “worst case scenario.” People out here in the real world are trying to piece together the evidence and connect the dots.
Of course reading the report would help to indicate if the “worst case scenario” was even a valid worst case scenario.
Reality appears to be several orders of magnitude worse than what may appear in this report.
Report Comment
Sorry, I really butchered the quotes from the article on that one. A grammatical nightmare. Sheesh! My use of grammar apparently is a good barometer of my visceral response to this drek.
Report Comment
that’s not the worst case, that just what happen so far…

Since it is no longer “under wraps”, let’s see it,

we find out through Wickieleaks, we (the people)

If you were Bradley Manning I would have to say, THANK YOU for your courage and true patriotism.
Report Comment
Absolutely agree. I’m not actually Bradley Manning, but I am fully in support of his courage and heroism.
When Elsberg came out with the Pentagon Papers, he already had an established career– respected, Marine Colonel ( I think), intelligence positon at the Rand Corp.
But Manning is a mere, lowly private, or something like that. He doesn’t have the clout of a prestigious position as Elsberg had. I totally honor, respect, and bless Bradley Manning. May the Gods of right action protect him!

Sorry to say that my country, the usa, doesn’t apologize for much either.
Perhaps it’s time to get over these needs for acknowledgements, retributions, for passing the karmic buck.
Perhaps it is time for all human beings to sincerely say to each other…I am very sorry for any hurt and injustice I/we may have caused you.
So, Samsung, not knowing whether you are South or North Korean, I do know that you are a human being. And I will apologize to you, whether North or South, for what my country has done to you.
I graduated from high school in 1950, so many of my generation went to fight in the Korean war. Many of them brought back scars, some from a vague sense of the injustice, some just shell shocked.
So, Samsung, please accept my apologies and realize that, somehow, we as a species must evolve beyond the use of wars and nuclear to solve our differences.
Blessings!
Report Comment
it isn’t really related to the usa, actually usa helped S.Korea grow a lot after Korean-war.
i’m talking about Japan here. We suffered a lot under Japan’s rules like China, and still faking their history like they did nothing in their history-books, slaved our women as comfort-women.
I think Japan surely deserves this…
Report Comment
Yes. I agree. I know about the “Comfort Women.” I know about other egregious acts.
And yes–Japan, China, and my great and glorious country, the USA — all are …
Yes. It’s true. And the USA is as guilty as the rest. So what do you think we should do about it? Bomb them all to Hell?…with weapons that will destroy us all?…or somehow grow beyond our hurts and resentments and put ALL our efforts into learning how to live together?
Just a question…! What do you think?
???
Report Comment
Hating a people for what its country has done is as stupid as saying we hate all Americans because they dropped 2 atomic bombs on Japan. Kids in the USA still learn that the Japanese would have fought to the last man had it not been for the 2 Abombs. For many historians this is also a form of “faking history”, as the dropping of the bombs had more to do with geopolitical issues and intimidating the Russians who had started invading a weakened Japan from the North. Whatever history we learn in school, and how it makes us perfect victims of the government propaganda, is what we should really be worried about. SamsungKorea needs to ask himself, am I also a victim of my Gov. anti Japanese propaganda? What purpose does it serve other than making us perfect pawn for our government policies?
Report Comment
It’s much more complex than this…
but basically this had much to do with it.
Report Comment
So what did Japan hope to accomplish anyways? In my understanding this seems to ellude me and im sure to not be alone. When people dont understand other people the feeling of separateness happens universally. It may be ‘stupid’ but I think its pretty normal. You can move this forward if you want.
Report Comment
We all have to remember we have different experiences and perspectives depending on our roads. I dont know if I like that you have strong feelings in this direction but I respect your feelings are real and most probably valid. The fact is Japan has certainly been a waring country and Im surevif my country was in their very real and painful crosshairs I can see how your sentiment vcan arrive here. I often think about Pearl Harbour….they flew here with killing on the brain. Im sure people think the same of any opposing country and I got your original point comparing the behaviors against Japan…karmically.
Report Comment
Indeed. Karma is not as black & white as it would seem.
Report Comment
That was a poopy way to accept an apology SamsungKorea–I am not impressed!
Report Comment
SamsungKorea needs to look a little deeper into life’s obstacles… with blood on too many hands.

@Samsung
I didn’t think that they would allow computers in North Korea. But I was unwilling to assume that without back up facts. Now you have given me those facts. Thank you. But please, as my appeal to you says, I am also a human being. That is all we need to know about each other.
So please accept that I did not know that “For Certain”, and just accept my apologies for what my country, the USA brought to you, to the South, the North, to VietNam, Cambodia, Laos, the Phillipines, Kosovo, Iraq, Lybia, Afghanistan, numerous African countries, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Cuba, Grenada…and on and on and on………and I know I am leaving out so, so many…
I only want to know when this savagery is going to end.
As a human being, I cannot tolerate the savaging of other human beings.
As a living being, I cannot tolerate the savaging of other living beings.
We must change this OR the weaponry we have evolved, created, in our vast ingenuity will kill us all. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, we either learn to live together or we will die together in our mutual destruction.

In the extreme meltdowns and explosion’s I am still surprised it has taken so long to get it, this was a mammoth nuclear disaster from the start, nothing ever like it before, multiple reactors, amounts of tonnage of fuels along with fuel pools and the MOX factor, many of us here knew this was a game changer of all time, think we can stop rolling our eyes at the statement the Government’s put out an except the facts that we are on our on folks and always were throughout the world !

Instead of attacking each other I suggest dissecting the statements released by the “control masters.” (Control Suck-Up Media)
This article states:
(1)
[…] government buried a worst-case scenario […] well, “who” is the government? = Global Banking thugs who fear you may discover what they do. (Start with the Rothschild (London) Central Banking system)
That’s the first step. And believe me… they fear that you may find out what they are doing , and have done.
(2)
[…] drafted last March […] The “drafted” indicates that someone set forth a plan, as an architect employees a draftsman to draw up plans for a project. (sweet)
(3) .. I’m sure you get the picture.

American Dream…….DOA
Here’s a well presented cartoon that explains our fake money – fiat currency.
This would have served our kids well to have seen this in the 6th grade.
A house bought in the 1940′s for $20 thousand has become a million dollar house today only because of the depreciation of the dollar/paper money.
That million dollar house can still be bought today for the exact same amount/weight of gold that it sold for more than half a century ago.
The allmighty pursuit of this paper money is like the carrot on a stick that the poor horse forever walks towards but never gets any closer to reaching.
I know I’m being a bit naive, but…..
Dear nuclear energy,
Just because you CAN – make a million dollars a day using a transgenerational poison to produce electricity – It doesn’t mean you SHOULD.
Now that your profit margins have begun to fade, please tell us – Who will make your radionucleides go away?
Sincerly yours in contempt,

Whoopie, thanks for posting the pictures. The splitting of the ground, and obvious earth displacement would be expected with an EQ of high magnitude. It’s important to discredit people who have said the EQ didn’t happen, or was of low magnitude.
What was shown here looks a lot like what was seen in Alaska after the great 1964 EQ there, a magnitude 9.2 quake.
As for the source of the EQ, and possible role of HAARP or offshore nuclear explosions, or politics at work, it’s not my purpose to debate that here.
It’s just good to see some visual evidence of the earth displacement that took place. It is the first time I’ve seen those pictures, myself.
Report Comment
I suppose one could say the tsunami might have weakened the ground below where the fissures occurred or something like that, and take the argument right back to, “the earthquake didn’t happen.”
For those who assert it didn’t happen, don’t you think it would have “gone viral” if the EQ didn’t really happen? Defies logic to say that, IMHO.
