Top Japan Nuclear Officials: Fukushima is an unprecedented disaster — “It’s probably the worst nuclear accident to ever happen in the world” (VIDEO)

PSAM 2013 Topical Conference in Tokyo — In light of the Fukushima Dai-ichi Accident in Tokyo, Japan, Dr. Shunsuke Kondo, Chairman of the Japan Atomic Energy Commission: […] the Great East-Japan earthquake and the resulting tsunami struck people and facilities, including nuclear power plants, located on the Pacific coast of Japan on March 11, 2011. This caused an unprecedented severe accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant of Tokyo Electric Power Company, TEPCO: a loss of all off-site power and on-site power left the unit 1-4 without any emergency power, and the resultant damage to fuel, reactor, and containment of unit 1-3 caused a release of radioactive materials to the region surrounding the site over an extended period of time. […]

Japan’s Energy Policy after 3/11, Dr. Tatsujiro Suzuki, Vice-Chairman of the Japan Atomic Energy Commission (At 4:30 in): How serious this accident is? Very, very serious of course. It’s probably the worst nuclear accident ever happen in the world. Because 3 core meltdowns at the same time, 4 explosions, involving 4 reactors […] and yet, still not under control. And that make whole other things, cleaning up the facilities, many other measures should be taken, much more difficult — we’re still in the stage of accident.

Dr. Tatsujiro Suzuki, Vice-Chairman of the Japan Atomic Energy Commission (At 4:30 in)"…we’re still in the stage of accident."

Yes, we still are in the "stage of accident."

Denial of the ongoing reality of the situation is exacerbating contamination and exposure

Thank you for your work, Majia. I agree that on-going criticalities are the source of massive spikes in radiation. I cannot believe that children are still living in Fukushima, please extend the evacuation zone. These spikes in radiation will be destructive for everyone downwind (in California, we already have had thyroid swelling, fatigue, headaches, etc. since Oct 9), but those closest are in a gas chamber. Children cannot survive this, we must evacuate them. No amount of money is worth so many deaths of so many innocents.

I was in a Whole Foods (right wing madman owner by the way) and they were giving tastings of wild Pacific salmon… I ask the foodservice dept. young woman serving it if she had heard of FUFU.. She said, no…

Even the with recent press releases, the percentage of the population that is even aware of the scale of the FUFU event, its continuing situation and its health threat remains quite small..

The truth is marginalized – ENENEWS has become labeled as a conspiracy theory website..

FUFU activists are painted as being equals to Elvis spotters, victims of alien abductions and fake moon landings proofers …

    • NoNukes NoNukes

You are the only one to label Enenews that way, ftlt, as far as I know. Do you have a link that isn't connected to the nuclear industry?

      • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

When I was taking my nuclear engineering course, the pro-nukers continually said that enenews.con is not a reliable source, even though enenews just posts news clips from other sources. In the same way, the pro-nukers in the class and the TAs, criticize Dr. Caldicott, Arnie, and anyone you quote. The nuclear industry may know the truth, but they will never acknowledge it under any circumstances. Their only standard to measure the truth is the almighty dollar.

Ad hominem and criticizing the source ( I forget that term) are the only arguments the nuclear industry knows how to muster.

        • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

          genetic fallacy.

        • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

Fallacious arguments are the only ones the nuclear industry has.

Also they redefine the argument to argue something else. So if you argue that nuclear is lethal, they argue against coal as if that is the only alternative.

          • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

And, as if coal is many times more lethal than nuclear (which is both untruthful and sad).

            • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

The nuclear industry has to perfect their propaganda or no one would live any where near a nuclear power plant (like, not on the same planet) or would work in a nuclear power plant or nuclear weapons making or storing facility. No one would approve of nuclear waste.

          • NoNukes NoNukes

Since Enenews only links to articles considered mainstream, it is nonsense. I wish that Enenews would also link to to those not considered mainstream, but have been vindicated, like Yoichi Shimatsu and Leuren Moret, as they warned about the corium fissioning in the open air years before the mainstream, since the nuclear industry is going to make up crap anyway.

Shimatsu and Moret do talk about the centrality of nuclear weapons production to the nuclear industry, in general, and in the explosions at Fukushima, in particular. It now seems more likely than not that weapons were being produced/stored at Fukushima. The nuclear industry seems to think that this is their little secret.

No: The FUFU story is buried most of the time in the MS News… My point was not to attack EN at all… My point is that the FUFU story has gotten its 15 minutes – the masses of people have blinked and missed it..

EN is great… I've read it since the beginning almost everyday.. It has been my fount for FUFU..

The point was, EN will be marginalized just like the FUFU story everywhere in the media here shortly…

Why??? Because, the masses of TV and sports zombies in this country don't care… They have been conditioned not to care…

Enenews is not getting the attention you may think it is… The farmer 16,000 hit is an anomaly – most are in the low sometimes mid 1000s of hits these days.. Prior to the latest uptick in FUFU attention, the site was getting hits in the mid 100s on most of the stuff posted up

Now, it is back to "As Inside The Corpo Globalist Neoliberal Beltway World Turns latest episode or a fear mongering blurb with the latest Nat security or State Dept. misinformation leak or some meaningless misdirection laced non news news story or WAR on the always dangerous unarmed terrorist villagers for our freedom and way of life (that always sells)..

The "back to the, "As Inside …" part.

Am not so sure about the rest. Lots of exposure on FB and social media these days. Many more people following the news here. About 1,600 or so more followers in the past six weeks. That's more than a 10% increase.

        • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

Sorry, .com. They don't want anyone looking at They don't want anyone knowing the truth about Fukushima, the truth about radiation caused diseases and death, or the truth about the deceit of the nuclear industry or the truth about the unsafe practices or the real risk of using nuclear energy even if they spent all the money in the world on the construction and management of the nuclear facilities (which obviously they don't).

          • NoNukes NoNukes

Language is as important to the nuclear industry as plutonium. It is difficult to produce the one, without the distortion of the other, e.g. "Atoms for Peace" as cover for weapons production.

        • ….this Finnish Nuclear Engineer thinks Unit4 had two methane explosions…discusses the underground methane and how all nuclear plants are potential victims of this…

this is a transcript of his youtube interview on fukushima…
just spoke with him on FB and he says the interview was really cut up…thinks CIA messed with it….

it might be of interest to some, i'm not big on haarp theories…so i just kinda ignore some of this…

Thanks ftit. Glad I'm not the only one out there ratting the Whole Foods cages ….

I'm always rattling their cages at Whole Foods. The people in the meat department are often shocked to hear what I tell them. A couple of meat department managers told me they would explore the matter further, and thanked me. (That's usually after I ask extensive questions about the fish.)

    It´s all in there:

Even here in Germany there are some pro nukes in the discusion, and every time you linked at enenews, the only answer, they have is, "enenews hahaha", nothing more, but you can bet, this answer comes.

So there has to be a lot of astroturfing on the web and they have strikt regularies to answer with "hahaha" on enenews.

@Jebus Thanks for the future look into the next capitalistic nightmare called the Olympics. This new complex has ALL been planned during the nearly 3 year time they have done absolutely nothing useful to clean up Fukushima, or help those displaced by it. Only idiots believe that solar and wind power was weak and coal and oil power was bad.

If the trillions of dollars in nuclear development had been spent developing wind and solar power and cleaning coal burning technologies, Mankind would not be in danger of extinction now.

Enjoy your money and total control of a very dangerous and exotic power source Nuclear Industry because, your lives and future have been ruin, too! You have killed your families and destroyed their future…payback is a bitch, isn't it?
