Not Appropriate to Say Japan N-Accident Contained: Minister

It is not appropriate to say that the nuclear accident at Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s <9501> Fukushima No.1 power plant has been contained, industry minister Toshimitsu Motegi said Tuesday.

“The word, ‘end,’ is inappropriate because many tasks remain unresolved,” Motegi told a House of Councillors Budget Committee meeting, speaking of a declaration of the end of the accident that was issued by the previous government. [...]
