Joe Rogan: You ever seen those Geiger counter videos? Really fascinating stuff.

There’s a completely different reading when you’re holding it up in the air as opposed when you put it down on the ground.

When it touches the ground — they show safe levels in the air — when they touch it down on the ground, this one guy on his Geiger counter, it’s going off man. It’s reaching these really dangerous levels and all these people are living there.

I smell of Yakuza , besides scientific incompetence :

    http://the-japan-news.com/news/article/0000229392

    10,00 parts uninspected ??

" … However, the now-defunct Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency discovered through a surprise on-site inspection last summer that the JAEA had failed to conduct regular safety checks on crucial equipment .

In-house JAEA investigations revealed the operator had failed to inspect nearly 10,000 pieces of equipment … " !!

And the icing on the incompetence poop :

" … A crush zone directly underneath the reactor is suspected of being an active fault. However, it is uncertain when the NRA will conduct inspections into the matter … " .

When the scientists fail what can we expect from politicians ?
Only Mafia/Yakuza knows what to expect : Money !@

… well , here are newer news about that fault line under the reactor :

" … A fault running under reactor 2 at the Tsuruga plant in Fukui Prefecture is active, a Nuclear Regulation Authority panel said Wednesday, effectively killing any chance the reactor will be reactivated.

The report by the panel of five experts, including NRA Commissioner Kunihiko Shimazaki, is the first issued on its investigation into active faults at the Tsuruga plant, and deals a heavy blow to its operator, Japan Atomic Power Co. … "

      http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2013/05/16/national/fault-said-active/

BTW , while you looking at the aerial view of that Plant , notice the Bowl shape of the area with the reactor buildings located at the Bottom of the bowl perfectly placed so a Tsunami will Pile up in between those hills and drawn the complex ! Hip Hip Hooray for the Clowns !

Strange, I didn't know Joe Rogan was a "Top" Talk Show Host. He's good, but "top"? Yep what a crazy life this is

Do you understand how many people listen to his podcast? Also, do you understand the scope of influence that he has, ranging from "free thinkers" to MMA fans to Fear Factor fans to stand up fans and on and on. He's got a lot of influence, and he's a beast on podcasts. No one is talking about the topics that he has tackled. Maybe you should not be so assumptive and think outside the box a little more.

Nope. Had no idea. Relax its not an attack, just didnt think a stoned comic & mma commentator had real pull. Ill check him out his podcast more often to see. Thx

You'd be surprised what "stoned" comics can come up with.. or stoned anybody. I don't need to relax, you need to lose that ego and stop painting people with stereotypical brushes.

Sorry, joe rogan experience underwhelming at best after watching/skipping thru 5 different podcasts then on the podcast referenced here where after 2 hours of swearing and drivel i almost missed the 3 minutes of Rogan and sidekick attempting to explain different gc reading sources and dissecting what liquefaction is after the tsunami. Ugh, please dudes, the liquefaction is happening during the quakes. They sound so ignorant sometimes and preoccupied by their insular hipness. Entertaining "sometimes". "Top", no way. The show is so infantile at times that when they do finally try to engage a serious subject its treated with the same importance as a stripper they saw when drinking lots of beer and coming up with new standup. I enjoyed the show years ago in the beginning but after revisiting it I'll stick to waiting for someone else to choose the next jre witty soundbite.

Yeah well I guess "your" opinion is the minority, mr. self centered "skip around" guy. Incomplete thought, low watt brain, judgmental tard. No one cares anyway what your subjective "uneducated" opinion about it is. Mr. ego maniac. Have a good day mr. "non swear word" prim and proper subjective opinion maker.

Bitter much? I never insulted you, i didnt/dont intend to, but jr aint that worthy of such accolades. Honestly, what self respecting person can bear wasting 3 hours on this show? There are other less self absorbed activities to occupy ourselves with than the opinions of these guys.

I study psychology and are a master at "reading comprehension" I smelled your egotistical self centeredness from your first post and successfully trolled you into revealing it more and more. You don't know me or what I do in life, I don't "listen to these other guys" I take all information in for consideration, and I don't run my mouth about things that I don't have any knowledge about.. unlike you who denigrated Rogan before even listening to the podcast. Mr. Judgmental, egotistical, subjective opinion maker. Just like I said the first time I said it.

Im glad you are a psychologist. And btw you know absolutely nothing about me as well. Even your angry attempt here at a case study. Seriously, after looking back thru many of your past trollings, this thread is by far your most expounded upon subject. Youre really fired up about protecting him for some reason. Whatever. Your postings against my opinion are much longer and more coherent than most of your one line posts. Im sorry you think you are able to choose good material by its shiny cover. Please strive for better and try to drop all the baseless, childish insulting assumptions of others.

"Im glad you are a psychologist."

if you want to bring up "assumptions" again, I never said "I am a psychologist" I said quite distinctly "I study Psychology"

Why don't you post again about assumptions and childish insults? Bluto? "still" ?? hazmat suits? You're a zero.

        huh. FAQs from ttp://www.troxlerlabs.com/products/3430.php
Do I need a MSDS for my nuclear gauges?
No. Troxler provides a MSDS disclaimer statement for your files.

Then why are they so freaked out over it?

"It is critical for anyone who has information about the lost nuclear gauge to contact the Pennsylvania DEP, Nuclear Regulatory Commission or a local law enforcement agency immediately," DEP Bureau of Radiation Protection director David Allard said. "As long as the device is not tampered with or damaged, it presents no hazard to public safety."

Should not have MSDS disclaimer… law… tsk tsk EPA et al.

  • UPDATE HERE ON THE STRUGGLE FOR TRUTH!

The Japanese Government Delegation often apply a so-called “official bureaucrats style of talking” when they speak at UN committees when answering questions. It means that they sometime talk vaguely or answer the questions only partly or repeat the same sort of things from a single aspect from the whole situation. As a member of NGO I got an impression that they didn’t want to deliver their clear answers.

Also, in relation to the Japanese government’s report and their answers to committees’ questions, there had been comments such as that there were no honest answers, not appropriate answers to questions and also that international standard hadn’t been applied correctly in Japan.

…I tried to ask my friends in Geneva if there are any journalists who can have access to UN s coming session about human rights and resolution for Japan. I believe we need alternative journalists who show the world what really happens in Fukushima…..”
