Radoslaws comment about the polish not worrying about nuclear appears to show some serious ignorance of nuclear matters in poland.. the new generation have forgotten chernobyl in favour of the ipad!
or it may show some pressure concerning the polish cultural institute in new york… just saying?!!

had to give you a paragraph out of the above pdf report.. says it all about everything..
"…It has to be noted, that this study has translated a lot of material from English into Polish and with thatmade it accessible to the Polish public. However, because of the pro-nuclear bias of choice of materials –
for instance materials concerning effects of radiation, safety analysis of reactors, externalities of energy sources, descriptions of radioactive waste management procedures, costs and socio-economic effects
–and lack of inclusion of more critical material, as well as lack of coverage of certain important critical areas– for instance alternative policy scenarios, uranium mining, effects of large beyond design accidents,liabilities for the Polish state and population, a host of security issues – , the report threatens to further unbalance the already distorted debate in Poland.
It is therefore extremely important, that the Polish government sees to it that more critical material is taken up in this assessment…."
i hear u RADoslaw! sigh!

Watch NRC's annual review meeting at Indian Point near New York City tonight live on the internet
More than 500 concerned citizens took over NRC's Indian Point annual review meeting a year agoA year ago, not long after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear catastrophe began, 500 to 600 concerned citizens took over the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's annual meeting to review performance at Entergy Nuclear's Indian Point nuclear power plant (see photo, left). A repeat of the citizen takeover may be at hand, with bus loads of concerned citizens from New York City, as well as large numbers of immediate neighbors to the twin reactors, planning to attend tonight, representing such groups as Shut Down Indian Point Now! and the Indian Point Safe Energy Coalition.
This just in from longtime friend and colleague of Beyond Nuclear, Alfred Meyer in New York City:

yea, who is responsible… Seems like no one wants to step up to the plate and say;
"Hey folks, I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS"
Now we look around for someone to blame and point fingers at.. Meanwhile four out of five fingers point back at us.

Precisely correct. I am responsible. Can you say the same? Power and responsibility go together. If you want the power, take responsibility.
