Alert Breaking news Concerning BP

This is astonishing news.
The question is why?
The US had no trouble issuing new drilling permits in the Gulf over the last year.
Report Comment
Majia, perhaps BPs alignment with Russia has something to do with it. Putin: “I believe, the fact that British Petroleum has agreed to sell its stock to a Russian company is a sign that our Western partners fully trust us.”
State-run Rosneft, a Russian company has signed a $55 billion takeover of BP Russian oil venture, TNK-BP,
and becomes the world’s largest publicly traded oil producer.
The effective transaction involving the BP’s sale of its stake in TNK-BP to Rosneft may positively affect relations between the UK and Russia.
"The City of London points out an unquestionable positive potential that the transaction has in terms of prospects for BP’s effective operation in Russia.
An analyst with the London-based Investec Securities Company, Stuart Joyner, says he is certain that Rosneft offers opportunities to BP that TNK-BP has never had.
The Russian oil giant signed an agreement on purchasing the BP’s 50% stake in TNK-BP on Monday. Rosneft is buying the remaining 50% from the AAR consortium."

Not much of a mystery, majia. BP lawyers had anticipated this more than a year ago. All of the 'big' government fuel contracts are completed and last for years.
Smaller contracts can be handled through sham companies. BP will not lose one dime of U.S. taxpayers money because of this.
The drilling permits also could have been in danger, so they rammed a pile of those through last year 'just in case'. Zero impact on BP activity in the Gulf.

Dear markww,
I'm assuming this is combustible. Apologies for not following this closely.
As you know I'm a healthcare professional and not an engineer. In light of this, my concerns are for local/regional disaster planning/drills -esp. for burn centers if there is explosion risk.
Thank you for your expertise. Take good care.

I guess we won't be seeing any new feelie-good BP television commercials anytime soon. They crapped out their welcome in the Gulf. The fines they paid were not 1% of the damages they unleashed on the Gulf. And some things money can't fix.
Why do the naked ape leaders sanction technologies that frequently break and destroy resources that can't be replaced?
Answer: They are corrupt to the core and somehow hope their wealth insulates them from physical harm.

Checked in on Helicorders.. hmm, seems some data is missing.. or should I say, some more data is missing..
Go here and check out 11/27/2012(12) listings.. notice only half a page on some.. these should be full pages.
Also take a moment to compare and contrast the ramp up over the last day or two..

This job is for NITCO -
World Crime TV!
We're flying in experts as we speak
to a hotel we bought in New Orleans!
We've ordered lots of new pairs of jeans
so soon we'll have coverage live and on scene!
OK, we're going NOW to our girl, Happy Bubbler!
"Hi! Oh boy – has this been a troubler!
We can't get the sound right
through the gas mask, and the hazmat suit
hides my cute ass!
Well anyway I tried getting the Governor,
that's Bobby Jindal,
but he's in Houston getting investments kindled,
so I tried Senators Landrieu and Vitter
but they're both busy texting on Twitter!
So here's Billy Beaudrieu, err, Beudraw, err"
"That's 'Bowdro' y'all."
"So how's fishing lately Billy?"
"Dey not heah no mo."
"Conclusive proof of the scope of this tragedy!
I'm not crying, it's just my allergy.
Or maybe the fumes. Hey – where'd Billy go?
What are those loud booms? I'm sinking! OH NO…"
We'll miss Happy – but the lawsuit will be huge!
From our army of lawyers there'll be no refuge!
We'll follow the trail of toxic spooge
and be hellhounds hunting every political stooge
bent over and licking Big Energy's boots!
World Crime TV – seeking those in cahoots!

I always hope, behind each line, people see what's not defined.
What impact on economy, when Media descends?
and "Happy" could be "Harvey"
for all that matters or depends,
how they look on TV as important as the script,
and "local color experts"
in a flash of fame are gripped
and how the fish-heads never seem
to be ready to appear
without the talking points defined,
without practise "being clear",
and how some person on the scene
says something that's a networks dream
to focus all attention on
and deflect from what is going on.
By the way, it's coincidence the local Homeland Security guy is named Boudreaux, hehehe…

did y'all catch the news
the army corp crews
and DHS, of course
need to blast parts of the Miss. river
need to make it quiver and sink
so them barge captains can drink.
It all in the cards,
the world becomes shards…
and the bugger of it is
is that we let it to be 'tis.

Helicorders will use the first three minutes of each 15-minute line to figure out the DC offset. It attempts to keep all the squiggly lines roughly parallel throughout the graph. A lot of the individual lines drop off after three minutes because the helicorder couldn't adjust the offset either enough or fast enough. That's pretty unusual.
Moving methane creates enormous static charges. I wonder if the hell hole was venting?
Rock under changing strain affects the local magnetic fields as well. Maybe the west side of the cap rock is planning a dive.

105 and 102 are offline, and again, we should be looking at whole pages, and we only have half or less in some cases.. check out
11/28/2012 (00)LA02 BHZ GS 00 : Catfish Stew Road, Belle Rose, LA as a comparison, we should have whole pages on all helicorders, at this time of day. They start new page at 12:00

In case anyone doesn't know: these helicorders don't use actual paper. It's all electronic.
Multiple recorders going blank at the same time is a transmission problem. They lost their local internet connection or something like that at midnight. Someone or something fixed that at nine A.M. this morning. I don't know if the machine stores anything locally. The graphs we're looking at on the CERI site are made from whatever data the Memphis servers receive.

Same shots of some oil. Big deal??. Yes, relatively small amounts oil are seeping upwards onto the surface of a sinkhole.. Not good!!! But, is it the end of the world.
This seems to be a localized disaster at this point IMO. And one that paints a horrible picture gross corporate abuse of power and of the environment…
Yet, I'm not convinced, it is the mega disaster, that some on here, seem almost to want or need it to be.
It simply is not the Big Spill in the Gulf. It is not the horror of Fukushima. Yes, I am aware of the huge amounts of stored natural gas there and its worst case risks. Yes, this sinkhole bears watching.
The crisis we face, is the total sum of 100,000s of energy polution, mining polution and toxic waste operations, uses and abuses occuring everyday around the world.. It is the way we live that is the problem.
This insistance on "mega disaster" event, found here, is straight off of cable TV and/or whacked out fringe Internet sites. The "sky is falling" postings that are so prevalent on here, detract from the issue more often than not, IMO
This sinkhole, the oil spill and Fukushima are products of the corporate abuse first and natural disaster second. And certainly, are at different levels of magnitude.
Personally, I'm more concerned about open water abandoned wells in the gulf and the continued offshore – both inshore and deep offshore drilling than the future of this sinkhole event.
Not trying to be mean.
Report Comment
Oil is one thing… I believe most of the concern is with the massive amounts of butane stored there. (not to mention the radioactive waste.) It's like a giant size zit – and when it pops everybody gonna get yucky.

LA03 had a major event this morning at 8.45 am probable partial cave in, LA01 started heavy shaking at 9 am and still going, LA09 started haevy shaking at 7 am and still going strong. This is the strongest and longest lasting shaking since this mess began! Does not look good.

I sure as hell hope that if this sinkhole possible explosion does not happen. The critics say there may be a blast radius of a couple hundred miles. Beside the fact that this would kill millions, there are 3 nuclear plants within this radius. #1 closest is Waterford (a GE MArk 1 same as fukushima kind) which is in Kilona Louisianna at 50 miles to the west of Bayou Corne, #2 is River Bend which is 68 miles to the north in St. Francisville Louisianna, and #3 is Grand Gulf which is 168 miles to the north in Port Gibson Mississippi. Atleast the 2 closest in Louisianna need to be put on alert and make sure that emergencey shut down procedures are in order and should be monotoring the sinkhole situation. Bet you 20 that they aren't even aware of the crisis unfolding.

Good luck getting the crews back in. There isn't anyone in the oil business that doesn't understand the immediate and violent danger of H2S gas.
And there aren't too many people in the oil business that don't know about the commercial divers there in the Gulf coming down with horrific sicknesses that can't be treated by doctors, and the divers that are committing suicide because of it:

And photos of the dead sea-life:

All the oil workers know they're being lied to, and it's simply a matter of choosing between how sick they're going to get and a paycheck. Basically, what is the risk of dying worth? The same question the workers in Fukushima are asking, and they're saying it's not worth it.

@Time is Short – DId you know that COREXIT is illegal to use in England because of the health effects yet they were allowed to use billions of gallons of it on the BP spill in the gulf?

I'm sure the approvals came from the same people that have been steadily raising the daily allowable levels of radiation contamination in our water, air and food, far beyond what is minimally safe.

No earthquakes in LA on the USGS daily board above 1.0.. EQs below 2.0 and below are not usually felt… So, if they are feeling these shakes, they must be quite local, shallow and due to the nature of the medium surrounding the site… OR
Is the USGS part of a plot here???
The USGS usually report the smallest fracking quakes… Why not this shaking methane bomb area – that according to you and your sources is just about ready to blow up a couple hundred thousand square miles of the Mississippi River Valley and Gulf of Mexico???..
It is a US govt plot, right!!! Just another reason, why the true Red states should secede from the Union… If ya ask me…

Sinkhole update – If you go look at the flyover on the assumption parrish police jury from 11/1/2012 you will see that road that leads up to the sinkhole and the pad connected closest to it. At the south of that road you will see the first concrete pad coming down the road towards the sinkhole. That pad (the first one on that road farthest south) is LA03 – the one that has had huge seismic activity today all day. Hopefully that isnt full of gas because it is failing. At the very least what I am reading into todays activity in my humble opinion is that the sinkhole is actually triple in size of the latest estimates which should be aroud 12 to 15 acres in size. At this rate there is no doubt in my mind that it will eventually swallow the entire field including all the gas storage caverns. The next flyover should be very telling if my calculations are correct. They need to remove as much of that stored gas, propane, butane and whatever is in those immediate caverns immediately. The seismic readings of the monitor way out in the field west of the sinkhole is also going crazy which is LA09 – further more evidence of my estimate. 20 acres is not unrealistic at this point.

@Ibuiltthis – I think you missed my earlier response to the comment about your brother so here it is again — your brother Im sure has a good feel for the federal stance on things especially regarding the reserves. Bet he is busy trying to transfer some of that to other locations. Let us know what you can when you hear from him. Cajun girls rock! Sure could go for a big pot of bugs with corn and taters, and a cold beer bout right now. You know darn good and well most folks on here don't know how good bugs can be lol. Till they try em that is. Everyone I have convinced to try them over the years have become addicted. Hope they don't get ruined with all thats goin on from fuku and this oil mess.
