Sickened Fukushima Worker: “Tepco is God… we are slaves” — Employees beaten, threatened with death for speaking out (VIDEO)

America Tonight, Al Jazeera America, Jan. 7, 2014:

Part I at 3:45 in

Anonymous Fukushima worker ‘Tanaka’: “My job was to help workers remove their gear when they came back from dealing with contaminated water and debris, and to check them with a Geiger counter for contamination […] We used to wear charcoal filters, but because of the cost cuts, we got dust filters, like those you’d buy at a convenient store. Tepco employees wore charcoal filters in all locations. […] Tepco is God, the main contractors are kings, and we are slaves. […]

Michael Okwu, Al Jazeera correspondent: Like many nuclear workers approaching their radiation limit it’s unlikely that Tanaka will ever be hired at Fukushima again. He’s since lost his apartment, and is constantly sick. […]

Tanaka: Fatigue, tiredness, I get really tired. I can’t say whether radiation is the cause, but since used-up nuclear workers don’t get any compensation, I’m worried about my future. So some of it could be psychological.

Part II at 2:00 in

Michael Okwu, Al Jazeera correspondent: Unlike some, [Fukushima worker] Sato escaped violent retribution when he complained and then quit.

Takeshi Katsura, a laborer helps workers exploited by the Japanese mafia: I’ve had workers tell me that they’ve been beat up and told, ‘I’ll kill you.’ Threatened with, ‘You know what will happen to you.’

nuclear industry in general is run by the devil.. the followers proceed to misinform the public and let money and greed take over.. its very sickly.

    • Well, we do have two former Japanese prime ministers speaking out now (Junichiro Koizumi and Morihiro Hosokawa).

Japan's Koizumi backs fellow ex-PM in opposing nuclear power
      TOKYO Tue Jan 14, 2014 4:34am EST

Seems Hosokawa is going from lowly potter (as in pottery) to governor of Tokyo. I assume he's been careful with the glazing. He might want to talk to Busby first before spending any time in Tokyo.

One of the worst symptoms of low level radiation exposure is fatigue. A run down immune is easy pickings for those trained to create an ever cascading slide of self doubt which can affect your ability to plan. Don't let them knock you down.

    • OldFool

It is now literally a concentration camp with employees getting at least between a 100 and 200 REM dose. The x-rays from all the water tanks will of course make the entire facility a mine field now. Serious mistakes in judgment will become more common and accelerate the loss of control. Now going into a death spiral.

      • OldFool

With Yakuza acting as the camp's guards, this also implies all the employee radiation dosimeter info has been 100% falsified or diddled. With work conditions similar to the Buna S plant or the V-2 factory near the Harz Mountains, the Yakuza should be given black uniforms, boots and whips to make their management roles official.
A revolt or sabotage is likely, so 2014 will probably be the year when everything death spirals into a lovely and charming conclusion.

        • PurpleRain PurpleRain

They will probably be way too sick to ever revolt. I can't believe they only give them cheap dust filters. THAT is criminal! Do these workers know that they will probably die from the radiation or from whatever results from the weakened immune systems? Or are these workers kept in the dark?

I'm currently trying to help GE to generate reliable power through non-nuclear combustion engines, for Tepco of all companies. It hurts my soul to even be associated with the same bunch who did all this damage to a country and people for which I care about so deeply. (I am of the Nintendo generation, where as Marty McFly put it, "all the best stuff is made in Japan.")

I'm working on equipment now that helps keep electricity flowing in Japan without the splitting of any atoms. Since I'm not an enabler to the cabal's nuclear nightmare, I can sleep at night. But only just. I wish I could do more, but I don't know what that is at this point.

        • OldFool

Ned, They have not lost 100% control yet, but the Yakuza beatings and bremsstrahlung x-ray radiation from the tanks will be the two final nails in the coffin. The x-ray radiation could have been avoided by thick special polymer coatings inside the tanks, but no Japanese thought of it and no gaijin was consulted. But word of the x-ray radiation danger will spread among the employees and no one with any functional brain cells will want to go anywhere near the tanks. The Yakuza will try to force obedience by smashing faces, but this and the Rumors of the Yakuza beatings will cause Enormous Resentment among the employees. A Spartacus type of slave revolt is unlikely, but the few skillful employees are going to leave, revolt, conduct sabotage, OR their unskillful winos from the gutter replacements will simply make the place uninhabitable. Total systemic collapse of control now appears unavoidable.

We're in a high radiation area in NM and have been looking at ways to combat fatigue. (We're definitely more tired.) One recommended one is magnesium plus malic acid, both easily obtainable in capsule form (and cheap) from The Vitamin Shoppe. Also LIPOSOMAL VITAMIN C makes vitamin C four times as effective and is very easy to prepare at home. Also cheap.

Magnesium is also the mineral antidote against the body absorbing uranium.

We recommend people looking into such things, which are simple and can be so helpful.

Magnesium for Uranium purge, apple pectin for cesium bond capture resulting in a purge, and Plutonium, well that will have to extracted via surgery if it is a particle. Nasty stuff were dealing with.

I think those types of posters have a specific mission- to disrupt threads that concern 'radiation reaching the U.S.'

They could care less how bad things in Japan are revealed to be, as long as they can maintain the illusion: ' but it's happening OVER THERE, not HERE!'

They become activated on the pacific plume threads.
They disrupt and seek irate repetitive responses so important information gets buried.
Once the thread is 2 pages long, and page 1 gets buried, their job is done.

It's nothing unique to TEPCO, it's typical corporation thinking. There is management and there is fodder. You are in or you are nothing.

    • We're all being TEPCO'd.

The western brain seems unable to arrive at a management model more enlightened than the chest-thumping monkey at the top and the little minions below. Forget about consensual decision-making and worker cooperatives, or, God forbid, democracy.

Was it the movie "Corporation" which pointed out that most corporations (government included) are run like totalitarian organizations?

      Over to Chomsky:

"Well, anarchism is, in my view, basically a kind of tendency in human thought which shows up in different forms in different circumstances, and has some leading characteristics. Primarily it is a tendency that is suspicious and skeptical of domination, authority, and hierarchy. It seeks structures of hierarchy and domination in human life over the whole range, extending from, say, patriarchal families to, say, imperial systems, and it asks whether those systems are justified. It assumes that the burden of proof for anyone in a position of power and authority lies on them. Their authority is not self-justifying. They have to give a reason for it, a justification. And if they can’t justify that authority and power and control, which is the usual case, then the authority ought to be dismantled and replaced by something more free and just. And, as I understand it, anarchy is just that tendency. It takes different forms at different times."

At this point, especially how corrupt Japan is in general with the mafia being the government apparently, I would fully support the occupation of Japan by an international team, backed by NATO troops. Maybe they will get the picture then and responsible ADULTS can actually do realistic operations to eventually contain or contain as best as possible. They have done nothing except kabuki theatre and lie, lie, lie, lie. I'm Mr. Peace, but this is certainly a biological attack at this point. The Soviets rushed as quickly as possible like a real super power should act. Were they perfect…no. Did they get the damn job done…yes and continue to with help from the EU and others. Japan is just covering up. That's it. Those Russians are heroes to the entire world, and so are the Japanese actually doing the "work," but Japan itself is incapable of dealing with this. If they won't take help, I think they should get forced help. Then, then we can get to the roots. I don't like living with multiple nuclear meltdowns esp with TMI in my backyard. (Oh yea, that was taken care of too. Obv, they can only STOP further leaks and that is my criteria in the post.) Just my honest opinion. If America were smart, we'd shut ours down immediately. $$$ for decommissioning and maintenance and then more money for fusion research and other clean renewable energy sources AND A DECENTRALIZED DISTRIBUTION GRID. Soooo much money to be made in shutting the plants off it's not funny.

There's probably a reason the 2020 Olympics is looking at Japan:

"If the Olympics are coming to Japan then Japan MUST be ok!"

There are no winners or heroes with nuclear reactors; they all leak radioactive emissions into the air and their spent fuel rods continue to pile up with no safe method of disposal. Fukushima was built on porous ground atop an aquifer; now that its core has burned through to the below ground water table, the demon is let loose into the wild; radiation flows into the Pacific ocean and is evaporated as rainfall over the land. Neither technology nor heroes exist to contain it. It's life on Earth that's being decommissioned.

        • artika rama

gmno2ashes Well it doesnt look good , thats true , but to call it life is being decommisioned ? i dont know if life cares much about us .. one way or the other life will find a way to continue IMO
it may be just another radioresistant fungus ( like the ones we see on tepco cam ) or an arthropode or just a virus , but it will . it just mutates , adapts and goes on.
As once a philosopher said (cailin) earth will shake us off like a bad case of flees. thats all . Just another chapter in evolution .

          • gmo2ashes

Yes I'm sure some cockroaches, scorpions and various microbes and viruses will remain once the psychopaths have completed their genocide. I was referring to an Earth potential and former times where man and creatures coexisted in harmony with nature. I'm not an evolutionist so I suppose at some future point there could be another seeding of the planet.

But I thought that low-level radiation was HARMLESS?
No, the fatigue and the worry about life = the problem

    or is it?

    You decide.

    • Ontological Ontological

Side effects of radiotherapy are one in the same basically. Good point. Thanks.
Radiotherapy on the brain over a long termed treatment can lead to various degrees of early to advanced dementia.

      • The EPA seems to call those "stochastic" effects (long-term, low-level).

        Stochastic Health Effects

Stochastic effects are associated with long-term, low-level (chronic) exposure to radiation. ("Stochastic" refers to the likelihood that something will happen.) Increased levels of exposure make these health effects more likely to occur, but do not influence the type or severity of the effect.

        Non-Stochastic Health Effects

Non-stochastic effects appear in cases of exposure to high levels of radiation, and become more severe as the exposure increases. Short-term, high-level exposure is referred to as 'acute' exposure."

      • We Not They Finally

Ontological, you have our best wishes and concern over your brain cancer traumas. Would totally recommend liposomal vitamin C. VERY easy to prepare, and it's cheap. (Ultrasonic cleaner will run about $35 in a hardware store, but it's just a one-time purchase.)

It's not just that the vitamin C becomes four times as absorbable, which is immune system protection. It's also the high doses of lecithin which protects brain function, memory, wards off dementia and the like.

        Good luck.

(I was trying to come up with an analogy – being shot at with one bullet, or a hundred bullets. Both are dangerous, but I think even that analogy might not fit in the scientific sense).

"Even the very lowest levels of radiation are harmful to life, scientists have concluded in the Cambridge Philosophical Society’s journal Biological Reviews. Reporting the results of a wide-ranging analysis of 46 peer-reviewed studies published over the past 40 years, researchers from the University of South Carolina and the University of Paris-Sud found that variation in low-level, natural background radiation was found to have small, but highly statistically significant, negative effects on DNA as well as several measures of health."

"“It also provides evidence that there is no threshold below which there are no effects of radiation,” he added. “A theory that has been batted around a lot over the last couple of decades is the idea that is there a threshold of exposure below which there are no negative consequences. These data provide fairly strong evidence that there is no threshold — radiation effects are measurable as far down as you can go, given the statistical power you have at hand.”"

Its not just the sick people who are silenced! What ever happened to Numauchi Emiko, the Minamisoma Blogger, who was featured on Al Jazeera? She has gone silent since 2012. TWO YEARS! Wonder where she is and HOW she is. We need to raise visablity to her and others illnesses. The video has been removed from public by the creator, not allowed in "our country." Gee wonder who did that, the ENENEWS article' video is removed.

    • jec jec

Well the concept may not be different in the USA -the silencing. The current administration just sends either the IRS to audit and create legal issues..or the NSA looks up all their email/phone records for any hint of any possible links to 'bad' organizations. Since 'bad' organizations are rather loosely defined, person could be in lockup limbo with a 'terrorist' title and no recourse to the US Legal system. Locked away. Now this may not be extremely likely, but if you dont 'toe the line' the fear is there! . Just Great (sarcasm). IRS can be thugs too as well as NSA.

      • jec jec

And what if you are ill..and threatened with lack of medical care for a loved one because you are an activist. Cant happen? Probably can with administration hires on the death/rationing panels. One new rule by a panel member, and your loved one loses treatment. That is also a fear!

        • We Not They Finally

Gee, just imagine what would happen if Americans had NO health care? Did THAT ever occur to you?

You really need to "get off of it." "Death panels" was made up. And no one is deciding on your medical care based on whether you are an activist.

And yes, there probably WILL be problems installing the new health care law. But ill children (for example) are already covered. Are you AGAINST that? Are you against ill children getting medical care?

Now what the National Cancer Institute (under NIH — federal) is doing, calling cancer "over-diagnosed," may well cost lives. But that's institutional, not the product of any one administration. The real problem with Obamacare is that it does not do ENOUGH. It should have been public option, but the advocates were scratched off the table from the start.

Not any defense of Obama — not at all. We haven't had "a real President" for a very long time. But my God, don't start scaring people by telling them that health care for all is bad! Good God!

It's quite exasperating. But disregarding the factor of some god in the equation, it boils down to those who are simply intellectually challenged. Their idea of social evolution hasn't gotten beyond an idea termed 'survival of the fittest' which is a paraphrase of a much more complicated idea. Proud that man is an order above such paraphrase through intentional (as opposed to simply consequential) abilities to change circumstance on an order above the individual, they none-the-less subscribe to a code that is nothing more than that one might get from any other predator. Can one truly hide behind something 'intellectual' like 'game theory' and claim that in reality it's nothing more than, at best, the collusion of thugs? That paraphrase permeates power structures, and they'll wear their violence and disdain as badges just as generals who might, in reality, be more honest in appearance. Just how are they moving the human race forward? Maybe human groups in which there is direct personal gain always take this kind of form, but there's no reason to accept the reality if one truly believes in the intentional change being the race's birthright. What's the best that one can hope for then? Voltaire's 'benevolent despot'?

INEPTCO is no different than many of the corporations here, and around the world that have gathered wealth on the backs of the desperate masses.

In the USA we have the uranium miners, and all the uranium tailing dust that is contaminating watersheds, and causing cancers. IMO there are many in the USA enjoying all the focus directed toward Japan, and not toward our own issues like leaking nuke waste repositories, chemical spills, bankster fraud, high unemployment…to name a few.
