Gerry Pollet, Co-founder and Executive Director of Heart of America Northwest: It took until the year 2004 [...] before the federal government finally ended dumping radioactive waste in unlined ditches.

I know that this sounds incredible to people, but there are 40 miles of unlined trenches at Hanford — if you stretch them end to end — into which our federal government, your government, was dumping radioactive waste from nuclear weapons production at its own reactors until the year 2004 when we put those pictures on air and in our campaign literature for Initiative 297. […] our federal government thinks it’s ok for radioactive waste, even though it seeps right out of those trenches and starts moving toward the Columbia River.

Big leaking nuclear nightmare, in trouble, and failing.

The sad thing is that nuclear waste is probably less than 1% of all the deadly toxins flushed into water sources or dumped into dry land above water tables. Mercury, arsenic, pesticides, herbicides, fracking chemicals, you name it…they dump it.

Future Shock is here and closing in on a vast drawdown of the human population. The inevitable wars over water and safer food will result in tremendous upheaval in the human population. It may not come to a climax in this century, but Reckoning Day is coming and it won't be Biblical. It will be natural selection, survival of the smartest.

"when we put those pictures on air and in our campaign literature." Public pressure is the only effective tool in these fights. If you want the public educated, educate the press at lower levels, where they still have passion to fight their editors for stories.

—-> In the interview Gerry Pollet says the nuclear industry's next idea is to use "Breeder" reactors.

Please pay attention to the >>Breeder Reactor<< issue.

The IAEA is pushing heavily for the breeder reactors.

Quote from the IAEA paper linked below:

"The breeder reactor, with its ability to convert uranium 238 into fissile plutonium, is a solution and would indeed offer a practically inexhaustible source of energy from uranium for centuries to come."

    http://www.iaea.org/Publications/Magazines/Bulletin/Bull155/15504702426.pdf

However, Opponants of the breeder reactor say they are dangerous and can lead to a sodium fire; and be a risk for proliferation and are extremely uneconomical.

This document reviews the breeder reactor issue, and Japan's use of breeder reactors.
    http://docs.nrdc.org/nuclear/files/nuc_01019101a_100.pdf

—-> So there are 3 issues the nuclear industry is pushing for:

    1. Small modular reactors
    2. Mox fuel
    3. Fast breeder reactors

None of which are good ideas.

And they are massive money hogs.

The SRS MOX plant in SC is now up to almost $7 Billion dollars, from the initial $2 Billion.

Have you noticed that everything involved with nuclear is always OVER budget and takes substantially longer to build?

All are still in the research mode. No proven successful technology to date just as their is no proven successful technology to get rid of nuclear waste. Snake oil salesmen who are completely destroying the earth. When the US government didn't stop the monopoly of Microsoft, they paved the way for ELEs. The large modern governments around ignore the people they rule, and not only are they kleptocracies, they are ruled by ignorant and crazy individuals. The stupidity and craziness are caused by the man-made radionuclides and other man-made toxins that they keep manufacturing at an exponential rate. Pesticides are developed from the same gases they used in the Holocaust in Germany and Poland death camps during WWII. The Nazis just moved to other countries. The same pharmaceutical companies and banks and the scientists from Germany and Japan are still ruling worldwide. The leaders of the Catholic Church, including the ex-Pope are still in collusion with these Nazis as they were during WWII. The atrocities and millions killed during the 20th century are now being dwarfed by the 21st century. They've just learned to handle the propaganda better and to hypnotize people with the TV flicker rate and cellphones and cellphone and GWEN towers and HAARP technologies and flouride in the drinking water and chemicals spewed out from chemtrails every day around the earth. The dumbing down of the earth is proceeding at an exponential rate.

Gen IV technologies, the metal takes 15 years to forge.. oh and oodles of tax payer dollars are being funneled toward this. Every time Congress votes for more to be done on nuclear waste this seems to be all they do.. throw more tax dollars at this "breeder" mess, then add all the tax dollars in the Treasury Litigation fund as the utility companies are allowed to and do sue the US Government, aka the Tax payer, for storage costs, as we, the tax payer, have not come up with a solution to the corporate for profit mess this industry has made. This industry is not accountable it is on a mad drunk courtesy of the Tax Payer of so many nations. Absurd.

"The Generation IV International Forum (GIF ) was initiated in 2000 and formally chartered in mid 2001. It is an international collective representing governments of 13 countries where nuclear energy is significant now and also seen as vital for the future. Most are committed to joint development of the next generation of nuclear technology. Led by the USA.. ..late in 2002 announced the selection of six reactor technologies which they believe represent the future shape of nuclear energy. …expenditure so far is in line with the initial estimate of $6 billion over 15 years. About 80% of the cost is being met by the USA, Japan and France."

The latest report I have seen on water problems …. present and future..

    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/30-facts-about-the-coming-water-crisis-that-will-change-the-lives-of-every-person-on-the-planet

Certainly no surprise. No, it won't be 'biblical'.. since that book is almost totally lies.. but this earth was created by God and God WILL judge those who destroyed it. Count on it.

    • The judgement is extinction,

but 'God' need not get involved for its execution.

As for our species….. I am the walrus Koo Koo Kachoo.

Joshua, thanks for posting this. I read it and would comment the following:

      1. No more lawns whether home or business. Xeriscaping should immediately replace them all. No more golf courses can be operated anywhere.

      2. Desalination is not the answer. The oceans have already been polluted by many countries with radioactive and chemical waste. This water will not be drinkable, even if desalinated. There is no known way to remove radioactive substances from water.

      3. Geo-engineering, which is everywhere denied by the government and main stream media, but plainly takes place all over the western world must be stopped immediately. The purpose is not to cause rain.

      4. The earth is overpopulated. I used to worry about whether population control would ever take place anywhere other than China. Now I have come to realize that population control is already ongoing and was something deliberately and secretively begun by radioactivity, genetically modified food and many other things to which we are subjected.

So, what can we do? We can stop watching sports and cars racing around in a circle, turn off the television permanently and use it only to watch an occasional movie. Pay attention to what is happening in the world that will affect our children's lives and do as much about it as you can to stop it.

Required to close the trench by 2020? And what about stopping leakage into groundwater?

    216-B-63 Trench Closure Unit (CUG-21)
“[TSD ID#: D-2-6] Located northeast of B Plant (a plutonium processing facility) in Hanford’s 200 Area, it was an open, unlined trench, approximately 1,400 feet long and 10 feet deep. From 1970 to 1992, it received emergency cooling water and chemical sewer waste from B Plant and the cesium and storage facility next door. A Tri-Party Agreement milestone requires USDOE to close the ditch by 2020. “

All the live fuel at decommissioned Fort St Vrain NPP is still on site, and live fuel is still at TMI. The Department of Energy is accepting nuclear waste from Canada to store in Colorado. Who is trying to protect the citizens of the USA both present and in the future? Certainly not Obama's pick to head the EPA. Who protected the BOM after the BP disaster? The corruption by the nucleocrats and the oil industry is unbounded.

The myth propagated by the NWO won't help us. Alien species, alien, indeed, are on a par with the tooth fairy. Even if an alien species existed, there is no data to show that they would be any better than humans. And also, the barrier of radiation in outer space ensures that they would never come here. Who could possibly want to come to this polluted planet, anyway? There is no magic to cure nuclear waste. We have to stop generating any more nuclear waste. We have to stop mining uranium and stop fracking, etc. The list of pollutants created by non-thinking technocrats is taking over everything and killing everything and everyone including said technocrats.

Anne I was of course joking but do agree that we need to attack these issues but alas I fear we have waited too long, the nuclear waste just in the US is beyond comprehension and we have no way to effectively dispose or store it as we know dry casks leak, etc. Even vitrification seems to have it's drawbacks. I applaud Germany, Italy, and I believe Sweden for doing away with nuclear power but what good will it do them when France is so reliant on nuclear power and all the other countries thus it must be a global effort which is on par with the tooth fairy. IMHO

'but 'God' need not get involved for its execution'

I'm sure that God took your advice under consideration.. but HE has already promised that no one is able to do anything about ANY of the evil destruction of the earth ..{except HIM}.. and so far it looks like what HE says is true. Imagine that. People should really 'think' before they say anything about GOD and what He can and can't do. He is far superior than any 'human' can comprehend. And He knows exactly what is happening. In fact He is all that matters… without Him, the 'earth' would not exist at all.

Hanford Tanks and unlined radioactive waste trenches
“Hanford has over 40 miles of unlined trenches into which radioactive and chemical wastes were dumped. Heart of America Northwest is working to require that USDOE remove and treat the wastes — while USDOE has sought to just put dirt "caps" over them.”

Obama's pick for the head of the EPA spells disaster for the nation.

“…Hanford is owned by the federal government and managed by the US Dept. of Energy (DOE). Because Hanford is subject to both federal and Washington state environmental laws, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Washington state Dept. of Ecology have regulatory powers….
    “Solid waste
“There are three kinds of radioactive solid waste buried at Hanford:
    • Transuranic
    • Low-level mixed waste produced by routine operations, environmental and facility cleanup
    • Transuranic mixed waste
“Hanford has an estimated 75,000 barrels of such waste, most of it buried in trenches. There is no cleanup plan in place. DOE has been working on a Solid Waste EIS (environmental impact statement) which will govern all Hanford solid radioactive waste which is not high level tank waste or spent reactor fuel.
“The main issue at present is transuranic waste – barrels filled with junk contaminated with highly radioactive particles with long half lives, meaning it takes thousands to millions of years for their radioactivity to decay to almost nothing. (TRU waste contains elements like plutonium which have atomic weights above that of uranium. )
“DOE wants to send nearly 70,000 truckloads of transuranic and other solid wastes from sites in other states to Hanford. TRU wastes would be processed and stored at Hanford until the underground Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in New Mexico …”

Glad to see folks concerned about water…

There is some hope in the oceans through renewable energy desalination on a grand scale with vast distribution systems to the interior…

Ground-water is not fixable though as in most cases it is not renewable… Gound-water pumping is mining… And it is being privatized globally to be exploited (see Bush family S. American purchases)

The only way to provide water to all the people is through socialism and a new way of living… Capitalism and individual greed will use it all up… Capital and private property is killing the planet… It always has since the begining of civilization…

America is a great in this case big country and nobody really cares when pollution like that is happening. There are sheep owning a smartphone, driving a car and eating fast food or watching Hollywood cartoons.

Do you think this part of the population has any kind of environmental conscience? They just breed, eat but will complain when the good times are completely over and that unfortunately will take a long time to happen.
