Fukushima resident Chikako Nishiyama, with translation by Chiho Kaneka: Two or three days later she actually had a little bit of a blood cough, coughing blood.

And she thought “Ok, I got exposed.” That was her feeling. […]

And also smell, and also stinging sensation on the skin. It’s a very peculiar smell, the smell is peculiar.

Arnie: "Fukushima 100 times worse than Three Mile Island."

SP: Arnie has a very conservative observation view about the causes of the meltdowns. No mention of the E word (earthquake) as a possible major factor in the cracking of the buildings and loss of cooling pipe infrastructure. Mentions only the tsunami as the cause of the meltdowns.

Obviously the tsunami is a very visible destructive force of nature and it did do great damage. But was it the major cause of the loss of cooling control?

We may never know for sure. Even in decades from now when they can do a lot of investigative work inside Units 1-3 (which are now so radioactive they are impossible to enter, investigate, or repair the leaky walls and foundation) we may never be able to find definitive answers.

Arnie's assertion that 80% of radiation went offshore and 20% went inland is to me just as nebulous for the near term. Unlike the building status though, I think radiation fallout can be assessed with honest science measurements.

Arnie says once again central Japan was "saved" by this 80/20 split. Do we know that is true? The Japanese government are not credible for their behavior or statistics…caught in lie after lie after lie.

The bioaccumulation of fallout blowing inland has continued for 2 years 2 months and 3 weeks (not 2 and one half years as Ms. Harrington repeated twice). Things are worse.

Good info overall. Next time get a proficient production person to run a mouse on the…

2015 is the year quoted by a Japanese professor as having said as the time by which Japan's radiation dose will make it uninhabitable.

I don't have a link but I saw it either on this site or fukushima-diary.

According to his explanation, the yearly dose will reach 5mSv/y (External dose and the slight internal dose) in 3 years and 4 months from January of 2012.

What's the clock set at for the North American west coast? How long will it take for their allowance of the 80% of the radioactive contamination to rain out or wash up on the coast? radioactive releases are continuing and will not end soon with Tepco at the helm. Every second counts. Every particle released into the environment counts and is cumulative.

16Penny, that's true. But the so-called "safe" limit was recently hiked way up by the EPA. So we are not set for public warnings. The West Coast cannot possibly be safe ongoing, but it will probably take ongoing work to dig out the readings. Someone who does A LOT of that is Michael Collins on enviroreporter.com.

I'll give them a few more years…Takeda needs some new baselines besides the ones from January 2012 which was a very, very bad month for fallout. It's accumulating, but maybe at a slower pace for the air pollution. The food and water pollution is another matter altogether…zooming to prominence yet ignored by 2020 Olympic cheerleaders who deny there is ANY radiation in their "pristine" city. Oh if only radiation smelled like snake entrails and was colored crimson red! Could they still deny it? Probably.

Don't rely on Tepco to confirm my assertion, but why did the videos onsite experience technical difficulties for many of those days from December 2011 to March 2012? Why did they find the need to hide the wrecked units with massive night time spotlights? Why are night camera shots still so blurry in a country that prides itself on camera technology?

Why did millions of Americans have intestinal illnesses in the early spring of 2012? Why were elderly and babies dying across the Northern Hemisphere at a significant uptick? But don't ask any givernment entities to confirm what we saw in our local obituary pages. Nobody conceals data better than the military infustrial complex. We have met the enemy…and he shakes your hand while lobbyists fill their back pockets and purses.

Color me jaded today…who is John Galt? Rotting in some gulag or a state run prison farm in Cajun land. Or maybe just reading Enenews and watching humans fading from the planet.

I think it's not so much who is John Galt, but how many, will there need to be, to get there?

Getting the flock to sit is an almost insurmountable task.

It's too bad the light of truth is getting so bright, many are blinded by it…

meltdowns, the new decommission strategy. (sarcasm)

I looked around and saw no evidence the public would wake up. After all, they havent so far, even with epidemics of cancer, autism and chronic disease that is a result of the machine of "civilization" …what to say of the ideology of selfishness, war and profiteering. So, when trying to prognosticate, there is better accuracy when not relying on mass enlightenment.

Of course there is the conspicuous anthropocentric view; those three thousand billion lethal doses will hit SOME life form. The public has little feeling for this. Ecological collapse may mean more people die of starvation then some difficult to diagnose radiation sickness. Nothing new there, but just like the plague, who will know what rat, microbe or isotope is really behind the annihilation.

Humans were just SO self centered. Add to that a recent study showing our IQ has reduced by 14 points in the last century, see it all in view of mankinds shrewd and aggressive psychological proclivities and the apocalyptic view is well justified. Our time marks the beginning of the era of starving mutants. How will we even manage the infrastructure?

My guess is that the elites are counting on robotics, but the more savvy of them must be a little concerned, amidst their excitement.

      • Time Is Short Time Is Short

With the 2015 timeline approaching fast, whether accurate or off a few years, to understand what is going on with Japan and Fukushima, it’s important to know who is running the show, and what their goal now is.

Japan is run by nationalist racists who consider themselves direct descendants of the Yamato race – Yamato minzoku – superior to all other races, exactly the same as the Nazi vision of the superior Aryan race.

The political parties in power may change, but the Yamato minzoku have ruled Japan for almost its’ entire history.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamato_people

In 1943 their racist beliefs were codified in a secret report, ‘Yamato Minzoku o Chūkaku to suru Sekai Seisaku no Kentō’, comprising six volumes totaling 3,127 pages, deals with race theory in general, and the rationale behind policies adopted by wartime Japan towards other races, while also providing a vision of Asia under Japanese control.

For this discussion, it also made explicit calls, sometimes approaching Nazi attitudes, for eugenic improvements, calling for the medical profession not to concentrate on the sick and weak (such as killing newborns that aren’t ‘perfect’), and for mental and physical training and selective marriages to improve the population.

        • Time Is Short Time Is Short

The first Wikipedia article is careful to mention that these attitudes are ‘antiquated’, but that is only a cover for these deeply ingrained beliefs of the Yamato rulers that are not widely accepted in modern society (as opposed to good old fashioned eugenics, which is a major recipient of research among our ‘elites’ today).

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenics

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenics_in_the_United_States

After 1,500 years (or the beginning of time, if you ask them) the rule of the Yamato minzoku, and the entirety of their race, is coming to a radioactive end.

They will not blame themselves. It is always someone else’s fault. At this point, with the end of their race approaching, they are going to commit a type of self-racial seppuku, for glory and honor.

It’s key to remember with these racists don’t give a second thought to anyone that isn’t Yamato. They will completely ignore the radioactive death and sickness of the rest of the human race, as we are ‘beneath’ them.

This is why there have been no mass evacuations of the Japanese homeland – they will all die there, willingly or not, on the orders of the ruling leaders of the Yamato race.

What is extremely disturbing is that all the other countries are letting this happen. It is probably the realization that Japan was just the first country to experience what was eventually going to happen everywhere with nuclear power plants anyway, so we are all going to experience a ‘global cleansing’ – willingly or not.

Paolo Scampa, an EU scientist, said that the whole WORLD had five years, and that was a year ago. That was on agreenroad. We think there may be significant differences for the Northern and Southern hemispheres, even for different parts of the States. We just hope that this doesn't become like Russian roulette, with no one even knowing which barrels are loaded and at what toxicity. The public climate is so calm, it's surreal. But shy of millions of people everywhere demanding an end to the nuclear cabal (wouldn't that be great?), it's unclear what to do. We just feel that people should have the dignity of KNOWLEDGE.

    • It only takes one 'hot' particle of plutonium or other alpha, beta or gamma emitting isotope to cause lung or other cancer, depending on where it lodges.

This is where the harmless 'banana' or airplane ride radiation theory that pro nuclear apologists keep spouting absolutely ludicrous.

Time will tell us lab rats how many human rats will become casualties from this human radiation experiment that the mad nucleocrats are foisting on humankind, with no notice, no permission, and worse than Nazi death camp results.

        amen.

also, it doesn't take much reading on any of these individual nuclear elements to destroy that whole argument either. People just want to believe what feels good and what someone else said, rather than doing simple research. They want to believe in "normalcy bias" and rely on a history that does not exist because we are in unprecedented times (just like the climate change deniers).

  • LATEST NEWS – Japan suspends imports of Oregon wheat because it may contain GMOs. http://www.opb.org/news/article/japan-halts-some-wheat-imports-after-oregon-gmo-discovery/

It seems downright bizarre that the Japanese government panics at the thought of its population consuming GMO-tainted cereal, but that remains rather unconcerned at the people's ongoing exposure to radioactive contamination of air, soil, water and everything else, resulting from the Fukushima disaster.

Just the other day ENENEWS reported that farmers are now allowed to cultivate rice ten miles from the Fukushima nuclear plant. Just ten miles! The air and fields are so contaminated with radioactive particles that agricultural workers are not allowed to spend the night there.
