Correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that for the EPA to have found Plutonium on the West Coast, there would have to have been a nuclear explosion.

yes you’re wrong. Mox fuel is made up of plutonium and uranium isotopes, they are part of the nuclear material the gets spent duing the fission process, inside the fuel rods.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I had read that plutonium isotopes were too heavy to reach US shores unless there was an explosion sending them very high up into the atmosphere.

no. that also is precisely incorrect. true plutonium is a heavy element, but that’s not the whole story. long story short if the xe-133 and the caesium radionuclides can get here, it’s a saafe bet that the other dangerous ones can also. the MOX fuel contains plutonium that is finely ground, plus ability to travel depends on particle size, which can be very small. one way is for a plutonium or uranium isotope to attach itself to a dust particle and travel to northamerica and across the nothern hemisphere via the jetstream.

Speaking of Plutonium, how is the breeder reactor right on the coast of Japan by Oarai doing? It has a higher concentration of Plutonium in it.

The media could be educating people on this disaster that has effects on the world with interviews with highly professionals in this area and giving facts on how to detoxify and points on how to change your life style at home. Showing levels and what they are doing, and so on.
What is happening Japan is major, this is not a small thing and yet we hear nothing about it. We see data, that says N/D why??

It’s all about the Japanese and U.S. economies. Japan is run like a corporation. This is being handled like an internal corporate problem, much like the BP disaster. The goal is to minimize corporate losses. That’s it. And in the United States, to acknowledge that this a national emergency would send the economy into a tailspin, not to mention the psychological responses of citizens to this kind of doom. This is all about keeping a lid on the American people and minimizing the damage to the markets. Governments are like the Titanic, head them in one direction and they do fine until they hit an iceberg. They are not designed to respond. They are inept in that regard. We have to respond and take care of ourselves. We do not even factor into this beyond how to suppress and censor information in order to avert the economic chaos we might cause.

^^^ exactly. There is no damn way in hell they are going to cause both a mass panic attack in what is the 3rd largest economy (Japan) and what was once the 8th largest economy (state of CA).
A flight of people out of these 2 areas == a flight of $$ assets out from these 2 locations. The majority of the world’s economies are already on life support as a result of the quadrillion credit derivatives market.
If mass panic occurs in Japan and CA, you’re looking at a massive domino effect to the world economy within the next 48 hours of those 2 economies folding. That goes against everything that TPTB and the TBTF’s want to happen especially where it concerns the might US dollar.
There is reason why there is Quantitative Easing within the financial markets. A big part of that is a SLOW & CONTROLLED TAKE-DOWN aka “cascade waterfall” of the US dollar. Having Japan and the CA economies bug out is not in the elite’s interest.

Spot on-great comment.It occurred to me that they can’t, under any circumstances accurately inform the public,or reveal the true possible outcomes, because the world would fall apart by next week.Having followed this closely since the start,(and thought I was aware how bad the situation is)-it’s only just REALLY dawning on me what happened to unit 3(ALL gone)and what that might mean for the world…then there’s the remaining spent fuel “pools”/puddles, on their rickety stilts..
The official policy seems to be “maybe we can kinda recover from this-don’t tell ‘em anything/maybe we can’t-so they still don’t need to be told anything”

that’s a lousy metaphor and and unrealstic comparison. if anybody had any commonsense or some normal humane integrity, we would find a way to lessen the impact, provide clean uncontaminated food sources, find a way to insure that the public has access to clean drinking water, warn people about the potential hazards, and do something major about soil contamination. the list goes on there is so much we can do, starting with trying to decontaminate and save the pacific ocean from total destruction/ruin. this “both eyes wide shut” nothing is wrong folks, just turn the page, kind of linear and shallow thinking is pathetic, unrealistic and totally unnecessary.

So this is not the end of the world as we know it. And we are going to live long a lustrous lives with no impact. The Ocean is gone for the next what 25.000 years? Or just the Black current is. What do people think the ELITE really care about what happens? Even if the world gets by we as us living now are gonna pay the piper. They are saying this is the start of the next Great Extinction. Everyone squawks about how horrible Big Government is until there is a disaster like this, just sayin’ (not pointing the finger at anyone here). But this type of event, like the BP one, illuminates the problem with corporations running the show by buying our representatives in government. The mainstream media outlets are owned by the very same corporations, so you can’t expect much from them. Things could be done, but they would be extremely expensive, so who will pay for them? I don’t think you can take the radioactive water back from the Pacific, but there are lots of other ways we could protect our oceans that would outweigh damage from Fukushima. I think our only choice is to communicate with like-minded people and take care of ourselves and those we love.

Try and figure out what all the folks on the west coast are gonna do soon as they. Find out its real. I for one am getting carbon charcoal filters set up this week. And note to self buy lots more AMMO.If you cannot stand your ground you have nothing. So I will state it wont take much to filter your air to the point you might survive. But the question now seem do we want to push on into this uncharted place of building RADIATION.
Think about this. No fresh veggies tell you have a indoor filtered air and water system. HMMM you got heirloom seeds? With out them you have nothing. Now do you have soil that is clean and rich in nutrients? Do you have the power to grow them. Then we look at the MAMMALS No reproduction after long term exposure. No insects to pollinate no birds no squirrels rabbits ducks geese nothing but contaminated foods if out side. So now my question is how long tell this is real???? How bad do you want to live??? Is it worth it. I have no IDEA. To tell the truth I would love to be Fly Fishing and think I will this week end. Lot of folks dont like folks like me we are right up in the face of things ready to fight for what was once a noble cause. Now it seems Honor and Duty to ones self and country are fast diapering.
