University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, FVCOM Modeling Assessment of Japan’s Tsunami Event and Impacts of Radionuclides on the Pacific Ocean:

Top: 200 meters; Bottom: 50 meters, variable depth (Z. Lai et al.)

[…] The amount of radiation released in the nuclear accident has threatened the coastal environment with potential impacts on the Pacific Ocean. An international research team was established with the aim of […] assessing the impact of radionuclides on the surrounding countries around the Pacific. […] The ocean model used for this activity is the global-coastal nested FVCOM model system. FVCOM is an unstructured grid Finite Volume Community Ocean Model (FVCOM) […] At 50 m, particles spread over a large region and reach the western US coast after 5 years. […] At 200 m, particles stay in the narrow region and move eastward. >> Watch all 16 forecast models on the university’s website here (Bottom of page)

ASR Limited: Marine Consulting (No longer updating plume model):

ASR Limited

Radioactivity levels in the seawater outside of the troubled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant continue to ignite concerns over the spread of highly radioactive material […] The unusually high rates of radiation found in the turbine rooms — and now in the ocean — have fueled concerns that water may be seeping from at least one of the reactor cores, leaks that could release longer-lasting and much riskier forms of contamination.” Government officials have stated that they are not sure whether the primary containment vessels have been breached. […] Officials continue to stress that contaminants will become diluted as currents carry them farther offshore. […] ASR modeling of the radioactive seawater tells a different story, cause for serious alarm. While these models do not estimate levels of radioactivity in the surrounding waters, the assumption that nearby currents will quickly dilute the radioactive material does not appear to be accurate. […] >> Watch the ASR model here

Enough with "plume" already. That sounds far too discrete, finite and hence manageable. Call it what it is, a constant never ending torrent of insane poison.

OMG, when I saw the headline I thought for a second that we had imported some intelligent University Researchers to Washington State.

Ha-ha, jk, its only universities on the Other side of the country that are smart enough to do modeling on potential impact to the west coast. Maybe I should move there.

Robz is right, a world government is the only solution but, according to Marx, every political superstructure depends on the underlying economic structure. So, the present production system (structure) is capitalistic and the superstructure is imperialistic democracy, where states' "democratic" political envelope guarantees that surplus value be continuously extorted against wage workers. Remember that, in deep crisis, imperialistic democracy easily switches to fascism, nazism, stalinism, etc, but the structure remains capitalistic or state-capitalistic. In order to establish a world-government (true democracy) we need the economic structure become communistic, so exploitation of working class by ruling class may no longer exist. Without classes, imperialistic/fascist states lose any sense of being. To say world-governemnt equals to fascism, is partially correct only in the present capitalistic production conditions: indeed, it is not a real world-government, it is only a global imperialistic union of capitalistic governments apt to exploit world working classes, but it will divide and switch to national/continental fascism and war when crisis will deepen. Real world democratic government is scientifically impossible without a revolution to communistic production system.

Communism is a complete failure economically and politically and is only kept in place with a police state run by psychopathic thugs and no freedom of speech and by imprisoning and killing off anyone with any innovative ideas.

          • Dr. Anne Lee Tomlinson Maziar anne

The concept of a New World Order is a complete totalitarian state kept in place by mass murder and destruction of the environment. Just look at the communist states of Russia and China. Horrific human rights violations and the most polluting environments. They are completely destroying themselves.

            • orsobubu orsobubu

Anne, please: I admire you very much for your knowledge in the field but, please, I don't want be too rude, be careful in political economy field, which is mine: what you call "communism" is, scientifically, state capitalism: in soviet union etc there was state capitalism, not communism. Every production system based on money, wage work, banks and market is CAPITALISTIC. And surely in soviet union there were plenty of these factors. Communism, scientifically, and I know you have a scientific mind, is "the doctrine of the conditions of the liberation of the proletariat" and in no way can be based upon money, wage work, banks and markets. As you see, nothing at all about a real political system already established, it remains a future project, a very concrete possibility in the realms of history and class struggles. Also Lenin never said he made communism: he always said he made the state capitalism. Hence, all your critique must be addessed against capitalism, instead (and imperialism in particular, since also fukushima disaster – which is the consequence of industrial plans aimed to obtain plutonium more than energy). If interested, I can give you tons of references about scientific work on state capitalism in Soviet Union, etc., but I would start easy from here:

            • orsobubu orsobubu

… Feyerabend. Also, understand that all bolscheviks were killed by Stalin, one by one. That's why there were nobody who could oppose to the second world war, while, during the first, Lenin and bolshevik party – first time in history – succeeded in stopping a war. And they gave for the first time in history full civil and voting rights to women, religion was reduced to a personal fact, and much much more. As soon as world capitalists understood the risk, they started terrorism within Russia, they failed but succeeded killing all communist heads all over other countries, and revolution went annihilated. Than they gave us the second war. And now Fukushima. But believe me, Anne, I know all this is really difficult to understand and accept. It is a long ride. I don't expect people will seriously start studying political economy, and that's why capitalism will undergo another shift from democracy to fascism and war in not a very distant future.

Time to step out and make a good decision for your children and grandchildren this is mass genocide being performed by our well you know. Please head the words there is no dilution and in the next 3 months there will be no ocean and 3 months after that from the sea spray and the dust and salt particles that are radiated going into the air 300 miles inland from the west coast will radiated with major cancer victims.

I only got to check the first link and what great scientists! There are honest ones left. A quick recap of fixed depth tracers:

0m – Surface particles go to the garbage patch

50m – "particles spread over a large region and reach the western US coast after 5 years."

    100m – like 50m, but slower movement

200 m – "particles stay in the narrow region and move eastward."

400 m – "trajectories of particles are similar to those at 200 m."

    600m – similar to 200, but slower.

800 m – "particles spread along the Japan's coast and then flow into the Pacific Ocean. In year 7, they can enter the Bering Sea."

1200 m – "in addition to the northward movement like those at 800 m, a portion of particles move southward into the southern Asian area."

Some of the maps show almost a straight shot to NA at certain fixed depths. Lock this information in the chest as nukers can't ever use the dispersal argument, not that it made any sense in the first place, but here is some paper from a trusted institution and doctors proving what goes on and it's very easy to read and understand. Another very important argument so that no one will be allowed to dump the site into the ocean. This study negates any "reason," there is no scientific or logical reason, to even think about dumping that into the Pacific. That will not be allowed. Fukushima would be Japan's least problem then. That idea is stopped in its tracks. They know exactly where most the…

      Great outline!

From a a CNN link within the blog:

"We do not anticipate any amounts of radiation that will cause any health effects," Dr. Howard Backer said Thursday.

In Washington, President Barack Obama went further in telling Americans not to worry.

      March 18, 2011

"Whether it's the West Coast, Hawaii, Alaska or U.S. territories in the Pacific, we do not expect harmful levels of radiation," Obama said. "That's the judgment of our Nuclear Regulatory Commission and many other experts."
      – Obama

Do your homework Mr. President. The 'experts' you're listening to have conflicts of interest and psychological indoctrinations that prevent them from ever being emotionally on target.

      Side note:
IMO – I know you're abbreviating here, but it reads like a slang word. I would spell out the word Japanese.
"Some of the many Jap gov't scandals:"

      • Ourself Ourself

Updated. I really like the outline, too. I especially like how it gradually gets more alarming the further you read; it goes from wtf, to WTF, to WTF!!!

If everything was OK and all that we were told was true then Japan would not have had to pass massive secrecy laws and security protocols. 🙁

Obviously we are all being lied too by everyone involved in the communication chains or by those that control these same communication chains. 🙁

If Nuclear Technology was safe and good for us all, then we would be seeing people swimming in the water discharge areas by these melting cores. We also would be having massive press conferences and parties right on site spouting just how great they all feel and how their health is much better now that they have all been radiated by these massive radiation contamination releases.

If it were safe on site then those white jump suits, masks, and gloves and boots would not be necessary either. Remember Bobby does not like to get dirty. 🙂

So, when the many Wizards open their mouths and promise you what they say/telling you is the truth, one had better look behind the curtains that have been drawn on/for a specific purpose.. 🙁

The new secrecy laws that Japan has just passed and our new higher acceptable levels of radiation exposure levels here in the USA…are all simply a few of the drawn curtains! 🙁

I remember looking at Sea Surface Temperature anomalies earlier this year. For a while, the temps off NE Japan showed "hot."

While I couldn't prove that it was Fukushima heated groundwater mixing with the ocean, it sure looked that way.

I do know that they lined the harbor with concrete in an attempt to hide some of the ejected cores and fuel pools, but the area kept alka-seltzering as the material sizzled up and into and thru the concrete layers.

The Plume is a complex beast, atmospheric doses not with-standing.

The missing coriums, or shall we say the NON-located reactor core blobs, are vaporizing and dusting
themselves into the water and air 24/7.

All the while, things continue to become MORE radiated, decontamination is a myth.

The West Coast has been dosed since ~ 4/11 via the atmosphere, I suspect the Plume has been
arriving for the past several months.

But without testing, who's to know?
