More Stringent, Coordinated Fukushima Fallout Monitoring Needed to Determine Radioactive Iodine Risk to US Milk and Water, ENEWSPF (Park Forest, IL), April 7, 2011:
Total releases of radioactive iodine-131 and cesium-137 from the damaged Fukushima Daiichi reactors in Japan now appear to rival Chernobyl. As a result, there is now fallout through the northern hemisphere, with hot spots appearing due to rain. For instance, rainwater in Boise, Idaho, on March 22, 2011, was reported by the Environmental Protection Agency at 242 picocuries per liter, about 80 times the U.S. drinking water standard if the level persisted for a prolonged time. The drinking water standard is a common reference number for water purity, even if the water is not used for drinking. …
“We don’t have data on iodine-131 levels in milk samples taken from the same areas where polluted rain fell,” said Dr. Arjun Makhijani, IEER’s president. “Such information is important for making reliable estimates of radiation dose and risk. We must ensure that fallout is not rising to levels that could repeat even a small part of the tragedy associated with atmospheric nuclear weapons testing in Nevada during the 1950s and 1960s.” …
“It is lamentable that the U.S. government is not speaking with a coherent, science-based voice on the risks of radiation,” said Dr. Makhijani. “There is no safe level of radiation exposure in the sense of zero risk. Period. This has been repeatedly concluded by official studies, most recently a 2006 study done by the National Academies. Yet there is no shortage of unfortunate official statements on radiation that may seek to placate the public about ‘safe’ levels of radiation, but actually undermine confidence.” …

Perhaps someone should whisper this into EPA ear, and maybe CDC’s too !
I have a BULL HORN you can use !

Hi xdrfox,
Sure there’s a safe level, and they will keep raising that bar to prove it.
(Saying this in a sarc. tone).
I honestly don’t see how any of this is safe. This sure doesn’t look like it’s getting better any time soon.
Guess it’s to late to get a passport?

EU cuts acceptable levels
EU cuts allowable radioactivity in Japanese food BRUSSELS – The European Union is lowering the maximum acceptable levels of certain radioactive elements in food and animal feed imported from some areas of Japan to conform with temporary levels imposed in that country.
The European Commission said all checks so far by member countries “demonstrate negligible levels of radioactivity,” significantly below existing standards….

Our Economy stinks.
Prices going up.
And so on

We’re in a fine mess here.

Potassium Iodide is the only preventative available to protect from absorbing radioactive Iodine131 into your thyroid.
I suggest y’all try and get some A.S.A.P.
Look it up for yourselves.
God go with you.

Hi jAcE,
Potassium Iodide would be nice to have around the house when needed.
Would also be nice to find it in the stores.
Thank You and also with you

hi, WindorSolarPlease
One can use regular iodine 2% by painting on the abdomen or forearm each day the size of a dime, “Do not take internally.” The skin will absorb, and the thyroids will take in any needed iodine, if you have a good diet the thyroid will be full and not require any. Morton’s Iodized Salt has Iodine in it as well, check container, some bloggs are suggesting that as of late they have stopped putting it in their salt ! Do the dime each day to keep the thyroid full, Iodine 133 when present will go to the thyroid if it is lacking in iodine, the thyroid does not differ between good iodine and bad such as Iodine 133.

I am not a medical doctor, but this info is on-line.(please check) It is not Potassium Iodine but will help.
Also buy iodized salt at your local stores, seaweed is available at Publix food stores in frozen fish section.

Thank You xdrfox
I started when this first happened, every night I put Iodine Tincture on. I also have one cup of green tea, one calcium vitamin, one vitamin C, one garlic capsule, also one omega 3+D.
I probably should take the recommended dosages.
I don’t know if taking vitamins and drinking tea will help, it probably won’t.
There are other things besides radiation in the air, that I believe could be worse.
I think we are in a mess. These plants really need to be contained.
It doesn’t look like it is dispersing enough by the time it gets here, I hope I’m wrong.
Wish they could ozone the air and clean out all these dangerous particles.
Just as with the Gulf, I don’t think they know how to fix this.

“But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God said; you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die…”
There’s no avoiding the inevitable. The levels of radiation spewing from the over 7000 tons of exposed uranium and plutonium fuel will far exceeded Chernobyl. The governments don’t know what else to do, but to try their best to control public reaction. We knew the dangers of radiation contamination before we ever built the first nuclear power plant. We “rolled the dice” – and we lost! It was a “craps” game from the very start.
Don’t be pissed at our governments, as we are just as guilty as they are. People will gather together to protest cut wages – but when it comes to powering up the TV set to watch Monday Night Football; who gives a shit where the power comes from! Stifle your complaining before you start.
People should begin thinking about visiting family that they may have been separated from, spending more time with friends, maybe taking that trip you’ve been putting off. The earth will eventually recover from this event. Hopefully a less intelligent race of man will inherit the earth? Or at least one smart enough to follow simple directions!
See you all on the other side…

I think we have better options than to quote the bible and prepare to die. like jon hutchison’s plan, see his site, and dr emotos. and lets shut the governments down… impeach them all… it seems to be working in Wisconsin.

You need to accept the reality of what is happening. This is typical of liberal “revolutionaries” such as yourself. You all have this “pie in the sky” idea of the way things should be… Unfortunately for you, the world doesn’t turn in your direction.
Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Dear 67 Mopar,
My husband and I frequently wonder why people like yourself always side with the rich owning class and against your own self interests. I have always thought it was because you have given your power to think for yourself away. Apparently Joseph Stigletz the Nobel Prize winning ecconomist has a theory about it, you may want to investigate.

You are incorrect, and presume from a false assumption. You should read these books:

2. Setting The Captives Free
3. Pawns In The Game
