U.S. team’s mission is to help SDF, Yomiuri Shimbun, April 4, 2011:
… According to sources, the U.S. team will also prepare for unexpected contingencies, such as a large-scale radiation leak from the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant.
About 10 members of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Chemical Biological Incident Response Force arrived at U.S. Yokota Air Base in Tokyo on Saturday as an advance party. They arrived on a U.S. transport plane from Maryland.
They will be joined by two similar units scheduled to arrive Sunday and Monday. In total, the response force will deploy 155 personnel to Japan.
The team comprises six squads, with specialties such as detecting extremely dangerous levels of radiation, search-and-rescue operations in areas contaminated by radiation and decontaminating people exposed to radiation. …

I think they’re “preparing” a bit late…

Sure that training scenario’s were for a melt down of ! Reactors and not this many with all the spent fuel rods blow such a radius, unimaginable, unforeseen ! Completely off the radar !
and for an area so small as Japan with so many at once !

The above article is disinformation. The Fukushima cataclysm, as it may come to be known if any of us are left to record it’s, not even, beginning, started at a level 7, and is currently many times worse than Chernobyl. Start learning about “disinformation”, “doublespeak”, and how to extrapolate realistic information. In reality, reactor #2 has already melted down, reactor #3 and several of the “spent fuel” pools are in the process (not partly, it doesn’t work that way) of melting down. The spent fuel in their pools have NO containment, in realistic terms, which is one of the design flaws of the Mark I by General Electric, which installed MOX fuels (far more radioactive and far less stable) fuel in Reactor #3, which is the guaranteed BIGgest concern, aside from avoiding the inevitable steam explosion at reactor #2, which will likely set off criticality and a domino effect of steam explosions at the surrounding tonnages of fissile material in the surrounding structures. You get the picture. Don’t you?

“with specialties such as detecting extremely dangerous levels of radiation”
Lmfao, wow, what a specialized skill it must be to detect dangerous levels of radiation.. Or, did they mean “it takes a shitload of training to fudge the numbers.” ??

I think they are going to get close enough to visually look at and access the reactors and the pits ! This will be a true given problems, state of reactors and cracks to approach must be made and acted on ! They will EYEBALL IT for the first time !

i think we’re going to be in a food shortage situation….before June..in this nation if California continues to receive direct bursts of cesium and strontium 90 and many other materials….
and i dont any one , w/ any govt level of status or major media status…that says…”there is no threat level to the U.S>” by the time they say there is one…it will be ….way, way too late….
and these are the same people who waited over 60 days to even begin to be honest w/ the watching world about how much crude was leaking from the BP oil disaster just less than a year ago…they were forced into admitting the amount was about 5 to 10 x more..than what their largests estimates were….
do you think they will be ready to transparent about nuclear fallout over the US. that is invisible?

I think the government in the US knew about this whole thing in Japan before it happened. For knowledge that led them to order over a Billion dollars in emergency food supplies before the incident. I wonder how many are in the DUMB hideouts under ground at this point?
