Tepco Plans to Dismantle Fukushima Reactors Within 40 Years, Bloomberg, Dec. 21, 2011:
Dismantling the reactors will probably be more complex than Chernobyl because it involves more nuclear fuel, said Najmedin Meshkati, a professor of civil engineering at the University of Southern California, who worked as a consultant on decommissioning the Ukraine station.
“It is difficult to get an accurate estimate now because we really don’t have a very good understanding of the level of devastation, the amount of the meltdown and the material that needs to be removed and the exact radiation level,” he said.
Tepco and the government may have to revise the timetable after robots are used to gather more details about the extent of the damage deep inside the reactors, Meshkati said.

Healthy two-headed baby born in Brazil

A Brazilian woman has given birth to a two-headed baby boy and doctors say the newborn appears to be in good health. Maria de Nazare has decided to name the pair, who share a heart, lungs, liver and pelvis, Emanoel and Jesus.
“When doctors scanned her they realized that the baby had two heads and that a normal birth would be a great risk both for mother and baby,” hospital director Claudionor Assis de Vasconcelos told Brazil’s O Povo newspaper. “The caesarean took an hour because the baby was sitting down.”
“Despite all the problems we have as a small interior hospital we managed to save both mother and baby, which was our aim,” he said. “And for us it was a great surprise to find out that the child was in really good health.”
De Nazare was expecting twins and only found out about the two-headed child minutes before doctors advised her to have a caesarean birth in order to save both her life and that of her baby. Along with two heads, the 9.9 pound newborns have separate spines.
In some two-headed births where one brain is less developed, one head is removed in order to save the child’s life. But rarer cases like this one, where there are two functioning brains, complicates the decision making process for doctors.
“If both their brains are functioning, how are we going to choose which head to remove?” said Neila Dahas, director of the Santa Casa hospital. “We are not considering the possibility of surgery. What we’ve got to think about at this moment is to maintain the children in good condition and see how they will develop.”
Conjoined twins sharing a body, but with separate heads, are extremely rare but not without precedent. This is the second such birth in Brazil this year. However, the other child died after a few hours because of a lack of oxygen to one of the child’s heads.

This type of Defect is generally from an Identical twin that fails to split completely in the first days after conception..
Usually through DNA tests on different organs done on the baby, will indicate 2 separate people ..
Rarely twins don’t split noticeably, and one person can have 2 different DNA signatures within one body, say for a liver transplant needed , but the liver doesn’t match the person it’s growing in …
One lady had the uterus of her twin, and the DNA on her newborn baby didn’t match hers and the birth was wittnessed and tested right then and there ….
So , NO, this wasn’t from Radiation …

For the past two years Larry Smith–spokes-douche from Entergy– has been saying that the tritium that leaked from The Nuclear plant two years ago which lasted several months posed no public threat and was in such small quantity that it was unlikely to reach the food chain in the river . . . guess what?!? It has and Entergy confirmed it.

Entergy is spending millions of dollars lobbying and in a lawsuit against Vermont to keep this cancer dump running. They are trying to set legal precedent for the whole USA by winning this lawsuit. Everyone in America needs to participate and contact their representatives to get your state to file “Friend of the state” status in the lawsuit against Entergy. This is really important because they are trying to remove every State’s ability and right to have a say in what Nuclear regulation means.

Everyone can post their experiences they have had about two heads lately. I was driving along a highway in mountains on the west coast. I will not say exactly where. I saw a black bird or perhaps a baby crow with two heads perched on a highway sign. Just sitting there all alone at 8 am, probably looking for breakfast. All morning, I agonized about what I had seen. What if they both spot something to eat in different directions?

More complex to decommission than Chernobyl? AS IF anything was under control in Chernobyl! Putting a new, bigger sarcophagus over the older one is not my idea of decommissioning an exploded nuclear reactor.
