Thank you, Chris Busby for saying what the "captured" scientists will not.

More than ever, we need truly independent researchers who will tell it like it is (even when, in cases such as this), the news isn't so rosy.

Anyone need any additional justification for ENDING NUCLEAR POWER?

What good is being born into a world where man-made and completely UNNECESSARY nuclear radiation-induced death and suffering is all around you?

Nukers, you have families too, do you not??? Surely you must care about their welfare and future chances of having a healthy, happy life? What good will a huge bank balance do you when you are too sick to cash the checks, let alone spend the nuclear-tainted money you have stashed away over the years?

Time to come clean and admit it: the Age of Nuclear is HISTORY. (and an ugly, tainted one at that.)

        Exactly, Aftershock.

Sadly, I somehow get the feeling such folks are still in complete nuclear denial.

***Can't admit to the serious situation we are facing, thanks to nuclear insanity.

***Can't even bring themselves to consider that radiation exposure and ever-increasing levels of global (and local) contamination is really as bad as scientists, epidemiologists (and yes, even governments who commissioned the radiation studies early on, but then covered the findings up) have found.

@WATK – yes, the denial is incredible, isn't it? I read around other forums (some pro-nuke, yes, i admit i do read their material) and it just leaves my jaw dropping on the floor.

And they are inpregnable in their thinking, nothing can dissuade them, photos of deformed children just wash right over them. They have left me with the thought that there really is no hope for us, these morons have the bomb, if they dont like you, they'll just nuke you. Heartless, brainless, that's the nuke community we're up against.

If fuku doesn't go right over the top, these guys will use it as evidence that nukes can be contained, can be managed. So long as they can hide all the medical facts and mortality rates (which they will) the general public will not wake up to the murderous ways of the nuclear industry.

We're damned if we fuku, and damned if we don't.

            WATK, Aftershock, Richard,

Here's the kind of thinking that goes on …. The pro-nuclear people believe things like this:

If the SFP #4 falls, the radiation will be dispersed, and background radiation will only increase by 0.015%. Therefore, there is no threat.

That's actually what some posters agreed with at the UC Berkeley Nuclear Engineering Lab blog (BRAWN). Yes, they really believe that stuff! They are delusional when it comes to assessing the risk.

'Am in agreement with what Dr. Helen Caldicott says about their having a serious defect in their reptilian brains. (That's the part of the brain governing fight or flight response.) In the words of Alfred E. Neuman, "What? Me worry?"

Someting has to be done to hammer into their heads how foolhardy and murderous their actions are. They are on the side of the reptiles I think – because they certainly don't seem to care about humans. It's beyond me how they think.. stupid. How are we going to get to them ? I am in my early 60s living in Mid Wales (very rural area) and have being coming to the same conclusion regarding cancer because some of my friends and people in the local community are getting cancer in their 40s 50s and 60s. As a contrast many are living into their late 80s and 90s so my thinking is what happened in the late 1940s to 1950s well this article confirms what conclusion I have being coming to!
My wife also in her early 60s recently has developed an under active Thyroid Gland, and will have to take Thyroxin for the rest of her life. Interestingly I asked our local chemist about it, he said he dispences loads of Thyroxin! IS THIS A NORMAL SOCIETY?

Re thyroid, many people even before 3/11 had thyroid problems and have been taking thyroxin or bovine glandular thyroid, etc. This is almost certainly due to exposure from all the testing and leaking nuke power plants, etc.

Have we lost sense of all that is good and worth valuing in this world? Has greed and a hunger for power blinded our leaders and corporate hogs so completely??? Are they not human and do they not have children? Do they not realize the great responsibility we have, no, the GREATEST responsibility we have, to protect, nurture and love our innocents among us, our children? What good does all the money in the world do, if we cannot leave a beautiful, healthful legacy to our children on our blessed Mother Earth? Pollute now, pay later? Will there BE an inhabitable planet left for our children if we continue down this insane nuclear path? This is the question every business owner, leader, and citizen must ask themselves each and every day. We must THINK first of the possible consequences of our actions BEFORE we act. Isn't this one of the main lessons our parents teach us? (right after "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?" that Golden of all rules?

            /rant

Like, I will probably finally break down and go to the dr. about my health problems (I am a real 'nervous nellie' doctor-o-phobe), which have progressively gotten worse, and I dread the scene I know will play out in the dr.s office – I talk about this radiation issue, and how all of my problems developed post-3/11 (incl. cough and chest issues), and the dr. won't say I am a nut case in so many words … but it will be clear from his lack of interest in and avoidance of the whole subject that he thinks I am totally out in left field… etc.

I've shared the info with several chiropractors, even emailing some posts from enenews etc. – and not a single one has shown any interest or thanked me for the emails…. so after a while I take the hint and stop 'spamming' them – which is probably how they see it.

Chiropractors are a good second bet, but not the first line of defense.

Of course, it always helps to send everyone information to get them educated, because NONE of these folks are taught diddly about low level radiation and what effects that has on health.

Oh, except doctors, and they largely are taught and believe the hormesis theory – more radiation is good.

The battles of any scientist who dared to go against the pro nuclear grain I am not surprised in the least. I recently lived next to a geo thermal plant and became increasingly ill. Sometimes what we don't know can actually kill us. I am glad there is a forum here to discuss some of these issues. I am personally taking Thytrophin to try and manage my own Thyroid deficiencies. I can't help but wonder about Chernobyls effect on this during the few years after I was a really young child and milk was my favorite beverage. How contaminated was my milk? I lived in Europe at the time. Questions the more I found out the more appalled I become. I have seen an intense smear campaign being waged against Dr Busby but I read the report done on behest of the Uk's government and felt his ideas weren't given enough credence. The data he has presented has thus far been sound. I hope the establishment is not successful in their continued efforts to brand him a mad man an opportunist and a myriad of other labels that they have tried to pin on his lapel. To me he is a brave man who is seeking the truth and I hope nothing stops this amazing person.

I have been hypo-thyroid since I was 14, probably before that but that was when it was "discovered". Here I was, struggling at running track and eating well, doing everything everyone was telling me (you need to diet an exercise!) before a female internist noticed a lump in my neck. Voila! Goiter.

Turns out, the entire Great Lake area is riddled with cancer clusters and thyroid issues. By the time they found mine, my TSH was >200, and I still remember her asking me how I was still even able to run track. Nowadays, it's just there, doing nothing, and I take 300 mcg of Levothyroxine daily. And the rest of me is failing, too. Teeth, hair, skin, digestive system, reproductive system (full hyst in Sept. 2011).. I'm only 27. My best friend died of unknown causes just last month.. she had similar problems, considered non-fatal… she was 31.

We're downwinders from two sites; Pallisades and Davis Besse, and Davis Besse has had a plethora of problems in it's lifetime. We came da** close to a TMI at DB.. you can see it all in the wiki. As far as Canadian Reactors, I have never given them a thought until all of this. That's just adding to the factories upon factories on the Great Lake's shores (see Chemical Valley, Sarnia, ON.

Just so much… I live it every day. Wednesday I am having my teeth surgically pulled because they are diseased from the inside, out… just another day in paradise.

I think Fuku has been particularly rough on teeth–at least, that has been the case for me.

I read that when people take radiation "therapy" for cancer the mouth is one of the first areas affected.

I suspect that the gums withdraw enough to allow bacteria to work into crevices and down under the tooth, particularly under crowns.

The problems I have been having since 3/11 have made me feel much compassion for others who are struggling. (And actually my health broke down early – I went on the Gerson Therapy, which is probably the reason I am still alive – but I have come to realize that my own exposure to radioactive fallout, and all the chemicals in food, water, air, etc., have probably been the cause of my own health issues. I just used to think I had a 'weak constitution' for some mysterious reason.)

I feel so much helpless frustration over this criminal nuke establishment and all the lives they are ruining and shortening.

When I see those poor Chernobyl children, some with such awful deformities and problems, I look at them, in the videos, maybe smiling at the camera, or playing, or trying to, and wonder what it would be like to be one of them. It is just beyond words sad and tragic.

    Chelsea,

I have a niece on the Gulf Coast in Florida with the exact same health issues who also had a hysterectomy and is only 31 years old. She started having thyroid problems as a child when she lived in North Carolina and Tennessee. She has nodules on her thyroid that developed last year, but the tests for thyroid cancer are negative.

From her posts on facebook, she really sounds like she is dying and doctors have been no help to her at all. She is unable to lift herself up at all on most days and has to be carried to make it to doctor appointments.

She was an extremely active person until last year and is so despondent now trying to find answers.

Thank You for posting. I wonder if this is the path we are all headed down. I just had a tooth pulled due to re-absorption. During routine xrays 3 months earlier, my teeth were all good. When they xrayed that tooth because it was hurting me 3 months later, the tooth was rotted completely through and the roots and bone were also being re-absorbed. I live in Portland, Oregon which puts me right in the path of the plumes.

My main concern is all of the children. Closer to home, I worry about the future for my 28 month old grandson born in Vancouver, Wa and my 11 month old grandson born in San Francisco. Due to the blogs, I have only fed my gandson NIDO milk mad with distilled water. My daughter followed every protective recommendation she could while she was pregnant in San Francisco and since.

Oregano oil is a miracle worker for teeth. Can usually be found at your local health store. It has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory as well as pain relieving aspects. Might be worth a try?

Hi CHelsea, to slow down this kind of tooth decay I recommend taking some multivitamins and calcium daily. VItamins can help a lot and give your teeth strong immunity. Another thing I learned from a dentist, once, was that your gums can accumulate stagnant and bad blood. It's important to get rid of that blood even if it means bleeding from your gums. So if they bleed easily, then make them bleed more to replace it with fresh blood. Fresh blood will help your teeth, especially if the blood is super charged with vitamins and minerals.

    to Mr. Busby

My hat is off to you keep the pressure up

I am a child of the 60s we have let the world down, we believed in peace, love and the environment, what happened to them values we held so deep, we like our fathers before we're corrupted by money and power.

Mr. Busby is right we cared but the new generation do not seem to give a dam, the only way I see them getting involved is if their smart phones went off line

Terrible to say but maybe the Muslims are correct, if we do not go back to biblical times we are doomed.

We are out of sink with nature, this world is not for humans alone,

This is one way of sterilizing on mass to curb human growth, soon the only babies born will be test tube babies,

And now the main news black bear spotted near school in Toronto,

We the people depend on news organizeations to keep us informed with truthful reporting and with no outside influence, every paper in world has broke it own charter by ignoring Fukushima, if their any lawyers out their that want to take them on under this premise or are you all just sniffling coward who only crave money,
This is a case to make you, be a man and step up to plate.

Great thread and its still so very dark in the world we live in.

Washington State and Oregon have the highest rates of skin cancer and melanoma in the US alot like Australia. Here on planet earth the medical scientists are attempting to convince the general populations that the sun is the culprit and or tanning beds or smoking. Yet 1 in 55 people will get melanoma in their lifetimes all while 1 in 2 and 1 in 3 women will also be diagnosed with a form of cancer in their lifetimes. This is startling since cancer was non existent prior to 1900. Something has changed and it has changed drastically and very quickly inside our biosphere. Around 1900 we started to dig up uranium and started commercial application development for its use worldwide.

Around 1945 something changed and we all know now about the Nuclear Bomb Testing that occurred all over the world, which then released trillions of manmade radioactive isotopes throughout our environment, biosphere and atmosphere. During this testing period it was determined that cancer rates skyrocketed as well as biological deformities in the downwind fallout areas. Above ground testing was stopped and billions in damages were paid out by governments for damages rendered to radiation exposed fallout populations.

This is when the lie continued and grew much stronger. How could anyone in their right mind limit this exposure area to a specific region for damages? You can't!

Just compile the world's 4 jet stream patterns and…

then follow and compare to the world's cancer rates and regional charts and diagnosis patterns.

This is the new cancer epidemic now traveling around the world and they have hidden this connection from the general populations for the past 60 years.

The Sun has burned brightly on our planet for billions of years and it does not give us cancer but instead the Sun gives us life. It gives life to all that we see living here on planet earth.
