Colbert is a genius

I realize his show is comedy, but to many of the younger generation he IS the news. They tend to believe this rhetoric as truth sometimes. That is sad.
The symptoms listed by the man in the video suggests Fukushima Fallout Syndrome to me and that is no joke.
(I'm not a medical professional.)
btw – Windmills do not cause genetic damage and that's really important!

It may be a problem to some sensitive persons… Certainly, there is has a deadly effect on birds and bats… But, when compared to petroleum's and natural gas's production and use with its incumbent health, safety, climate and environmental damages – or nuclear and coals problems and damages to the same – wind looks great… Bring it on..
Especially, if a mega battery technology can be developed to solve down times from solar, wind, tide or wave generated energy … Low head hydro energy will be back too…
The grid efficiency technology is improving all the time… Things may be looking up – that is if we have the time left and the willingness to understand that less is better..

Why I don't watch TV. Mass propagandized slavery Caused by the flicker rate programmed by James Holmes. The flicker rate will get you in the end.

"Burn Your TV!" – bumper sticker I saw in Oregon.
I have not owned a TV since the last century. Yet I find myself barraged by them wherever I go. Sitting in a waiting room or standing in line at a store, the TV monitors roll and flicker.

Remember when TV was 100 percent free and people could actually learn things from it? Soap operas, now called Reality TV, were for old women at the beauty salon. Now young women are making crucial life decisions based on some nonsense they've seen on MTV.

Chas: I'm not sure Colbert is all about comedy… He like Maher always seem to skirt the tough question… They flirt with real problems and end the end marginalized them as comic relief…
Maher sickens me, he never pulls the trigger with his most noxious guests … He is either a coward or a charlatan IMO…
I'm not a prude.. Don't watch much TV… I laugh at times when I have watched these fellas… But, always in the back of my mind when watching them, I keep going on, "SAY IT!!! JUST SAY IT!!!" – and they never do…

Anne: If you don"t watch TV and then you do, you can feel the zombie burn it imparts to you… It is a scary and uncomfortable a feeling…. Watching TV has a lower calorie burn rate than sleep – by far… It is near the calorie rate of a self induced alfa state – the lowest know human calorie burn rate… The difference is – you are not in control of the input – the TV program is… Remember, "The medium is the message"..

You all are aware the Colbert Report is satire, right?
Just checking. I'm not sure most of his audience knows it.

Being in canada, I couldn't watch this particular video so I cannot comment on it but I too believe Colbert is genius.
He gets away with mocking tptb because it's humour. That's a fine line to walk if you want to keep your job and still get the message out. Many people I know, myself included, were fully disgruntled by the system at a young age but knew nothing of politics, and Colbert was a great introduction to current events. I don't watch it any more as its not deep enough but it serves a function to a generation that knows the mainstream media is bogus and can read between his lines. He may not always be morally right – he's a comedian!
