I heard the video. He questions how much we can dictate to Japan. WTF, Hello, do you see any dinosaurs here. Nope, no one. Oh, wait I see Fossils. Yep, that's what we will be when its all over. You stupid son of bitch. It does not matter anymore. I hope you take a good look at your balls, cuz them little things will be a Glowin. Hmmmhmmmm. You just wait and see. Of course, ya gotcha a one stop containment area for the real deal. Especially, when us poor folks, do not get to share space. Maybe its too much to ask, but how come the so called Government Officials don't get on the phone with all of the other countries and say, lets stop worrying about the funds and take care of Life first. Cuz, when the SHIT HITS THE FAN, you are going to have take care of it.

truth-to-word Mothercares! I'm so amazed how these same people can muster the international community to drop bombs on 'outsider' nations, but when it comes to Fukushima (aka General Electric's 'quality' line of nuclear reactors), we're supposed to believe they're going to honor Japan's national sovereignty? Guys like Wyden must think we're all going to our televisions for the news. Apparently, he (and his handlers) seems unaware that us 'commoners' actually think for ourselves…

I am sorry, I got carried away. I started to think about the tv series "Jericho", it was on for awhile, then it got taken off of the air. I try not to be a conspirator here. However, it really does boggle the mind, that for a year and plus months, nothing is happening. I get the scientific things as to the too hot to handle. I do. Really, however the US shoreline is starting to get personal effects from Japan, my heart suffers from the agony of knowing what is going on for them and us. I am tired of the BS as well as everyone here is as well. The worst part, there really isn't anywhere to go.

What makes anyone think the so call people in charge, are concerned about what another Country thinks.

Since this is about our Country's National Security, they should have been all over this situation from day one.

Why aren't they, because they are owned by the Corporations. There are bigger guys than the Politicians.

We saw/seeing this in the Gulf Disaster. Who came first the Public, environment, or the Corporation?

The Nuclear Industry is genocidal. National boundaries are meaningless. Splitting the atom was the end of nationalities. It is now an issue of the human race. There is not time for talking about such trivialities. Fukushima is the wake up for the entire human race. We either get it right, or its over. Rise above, or become extinct. This planet will survive either way. The planet is not stupid. So far, humans beings are.

Nuclear anything is about violence and destruction.

Violence in all forms is a quest for identity.

I want to thank Senator Wyden for continuing to keep this issue front and center in the mainstream media. I'm going to write him. Maybe you can, too. As a nuclear survivor from decades of above ground testing, i know there is life after nuclear detonation and contamination. But, there is also so much destruction, illness, suffering, and death. While we vent and rant and decide that the world is ending, maybe we can also take a moment to recognize the people who are doing something to try and save it. There is a groundswell of people stepping up. Thanks Ron!

the US should not dictate anything to anybody, in fact, I am sick of the US dictating everything to everybody whilst being one of the biggest perpetrators of the present time. the people of the world should tell the governments as to what they have to do and we should assume responsibility to let them get to where the governments are today… no point in calling a big nanny for us every time things become a little uncomfortable… if we do not stop there is nothing to cry about.

How about if the US and Europe clear up their own crap and feel really ashamed that it has come to this? after all nuclear power and its politician mafia has not been invented in Japan… right? and we sat by with our greed for luxury and let them go ahead until it breaks… we are as guilty.

      Hi Snowwy

I'm only going to comment on what I agree with you on.
I don't want to change this discussion away from this disaster.

I agree that: Every Country should clean up their act by eliminating nuclear power, weapons and anything that hurts our environment. We all need this environment.

Pu239, yes that is the series. It got a little hokey at times, but the main theme was survival and keeping your head clear, focus on the issue at hand and above all else, lending a hand when it is needed. Community. Survival.

In response to Snowy, I had to reread your statement twice, I still don't "get it". Yes, we jump in as Americans do, regardless. We help when we can and decide on who go's where and what is to be done. Right or Wrong. People all over the world have a choice. Defending yourself is not a crime, doing more than nothing is far better, then nothing at all. I was a US Army Soldier, Damn Proud of It, I will Always fight for what is Right and Just, just as I know that it is the choice to not fight and/or stand down. Luxury's are freedom, knowledge, skills, food, shelter, and the right to Believe in God or what ever you feel.

@mothercares – good that you were an army soldier, i respect that and am not having any dig at you.

but your countries politics are rife with lies. your nation goes to war based on lies. your nation invades areas that are none of your business, with drones that kill indiscriminately. The operators of these drones are shear murderers, nothing less.

your presedent gets a peace prize based on pure bollocks. your other bogus president lands on an aircraft carrier with his head up his date and declares mission acomplished. what a friggin tool.

the usa mob.media.corp.guv are destroying the world. They are outlaws with no respect for the common laws the rest of the public is expected to abide by.

the usa politics is mafia, that's why we are where we are today. yes, you are a soldier, but did you really check who you were fighting for… look closely.. it's organised crime and criminals that you were defending. how many of your comrades died thanks to the lies of the usa politics ?

you can't deny the lies.. a lot of us knew they were lies to begin with and over the long-term they have been revealed.

oh, if you were a soldier in the gunship killing undefended journalists then any kind words I had for you above are null and void. those soldiers are murderers, just like the usa mob.media.corp.guv

ps.. food and shelter are not a luxury
