Govt likely to take over TEPCO / Liability fund would hold stock majority, Yomiuri Shimbun, Dec. 22, 2011:
The government will likely bring Tokyo Electric Power Co. under state control as part of a 2 trillion yen plan that involves using the Nuclear Damage Liability Facilitation Fund to obtain more than two-thirds of the utility’s stock, according to an informed source.
The state-backed compensation funding body will provide 1 trillion yen and the government will ask TEPCO’s main private banks to finance another 1 trillion yen.
TEPCO has begun studying the proposal and has responded positively so far, the same source said. [...]
TEPCO’s management is expected to resign when the government provides this financial assistance. [...]

Judging from the past track record of the government, the questions to consider are… “will the gov sweep the truth under an even larger rug?” and Can we expect anything to change from this maneuver?

People have been clamoring for this for a while to punish the Tepco bad guys. Now the bureaucrats can strut their stuff and really show the world how to run a modern power company – the folks who do such a good job with things like mail service, motor vehicle departments, disaster response… oh, wait.

Notice the phrase [...]TEPCO’s management is expected to resign[...] I am sure this will include a full government based “prosecution” pardon, along with a “wall street” style bonus.
Then add to that [...]TEPCO’s… is expected to resign when the government provides this financial assistance. Meaning, taxpayer funded, government bailout. Sound familiar to anyone?
The phrase [...]TEPCO has begun studying the proposal[...] puts a warm feeling in my gut. (Or is that feeling from a hot particle?)

I lived through the surgical torture,…only to have them tell me that they can not find the bleed. (Let me show them my ‘shocked’ face, eh?) Hot particles are quite painful friends,….they burn and bleed from now to Eternity.

Jill, do you have a good “advocate” for your treatment?
Not a doctor – they are too busy with many patients and now family things.
Not a spouse or close relative – too much emotion, they are worried about “their” involvement in the situation
A good friend, more distant relative or coworker – who will listen to all the problems, scour the internet. Help you listen and understand what the doctors are telling you, help you evaluate alternative treatments and help you make decisions, look for potential things to ask questions about and they have permission to tell you to do something different than you are doing.
I’ve played this role with a couple of relatives in the past. An uncle suddenly contracted a bacterial infection that got in his brain. Another relative who needed a lung transplant.
We all would like to think we can do this for ourselves, but we cannot. When you need medical treatment you are in pain, you are under the influence of drugs, you are depressed. You might let little things turn into big obstacles, and allow big things to not be attended to.
Medical treatment is not always a passive event. If you don’t participate properly you will not receive the best treatment.
I hope you have someone for this role – if you don’t, see if you can find someone. Good Luck.

Having lived through, and am living with Chronic Radiation Poisoning, I can tell you that nothing that goes in you, as a radionucleide, that can’t be chelated back out.
Start with de-ionized water – keeps your ingestion of plutonium and uranium down – its in all of our drinkning water and all of the bottled water that is treated with R/O
The strongest agent is sodium bicarbonate – 1/4 teaspoon in eight ounces of water twice a day
Once a week, I bath in zeolite and make a facial from it. Can feel the hot particles getting pulled out.
unfortunately, you are going to have to treat yourself, and chelation is painful, disturbing…. but it will keep you alive.
